Score from 10 reviews Very good
Paradise in the Atlas Mountains. Gardens beautiful. Loved the shabby chic and truly authentic Moroccan environment. Went in Ramadan and had the entire property completely to ourselves - amazing. Would love to visit when the river is flowing and the climate is conducive to riding and walking in the area.
Maybe a bit too shabby in some areas - hydrotherapy spa was not open. Due to the extensive foliage in the gardens the pool can get a lot of leaves and debris but the staff do their best to keep it clear
the beautiful location in the Atlas, the beautiful gardens, peacefull and quiet
it looks a bit outdated, the food is not good (bfast ok but lunch and diner are not good)
Location Grounds - beautiful Pools (although cold) Food
The staff were no help at all. Facility is stuck in the 60'S. Needs updating badly. Very expensive for anything extra. Charged us for breakfast and was supposed to be included. Shuttle has no a/c and driver is crazy, passenger was throwing up and he didn't slow down!
It has a beautiful garden & pool & pretty peaceful
There were not enough staff to give a good level of service & the rooms need updating. The food was good but we found the menu quite limiting.
Charming hotel, beautiful setting and very nice, helpful owner.
The rooms are a little bit worn, do not expect ultimate luxury or newest standards, then you will nor be dissapointed.
Amazing surroundings, good facilities, excellent Maitre d' in Olivier. Calm and restful environment.
Needed a brochure that better codified arrangements and services available. Missed a kettle in the room. Could have a more explicit offer for children.
Great location, responsive staff, wonderful established rose gardens and a wide range of facilities from horse-riding to a hot tub. The family suite we had was the perfect set up and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and adventurous family holiday.
I agree with other reviewers that the website doesn't do justice to the gardens, rooms and facilities available at this hotel.
I didn't like the food but that's only because I'm a fussy eater due to the fact that I'm a bodybuilder but to be fair, I'd say the food is probably awesome for most people who just normal :/ all so the menu was a bit limited. Breakfast was brilliant
The domain itself was gorgeous with the flowers ,trees and plants. The bird songs were enchanting! An oasis ! the rooms were basic; comfort of the beds mediocre, could have been better but nothing too bad. Comfortable enough as nature made up for it! rooms could have had more light (also in the bathroom)
A pity the jacuzzi wasn't maintained. We didn't use it then. As for the restaurant: after three hours of delay at the airports and customs ,we finally arrived at the hotel at 22h. I had already tried contacting the hotel several times between 21-22h, warning them that we were running late. No one answered the phone. On our arrival,we were met by a young lady who excused herself for already being in her pajamas ,which we understood. We asked if we could still have something to eat and she said we had to hurry our bags to our rooms and ge to the restaurant. There we were met by Olivier the restaurant manager from Cameroon. He was very upset with us arriving at "such a late hour" and with a deep sigh he said we could eat something from a limited menu, which we totally understood. We asked if we could have an aperitif from the bar while we waited and he refused, it being too far . (next to the restaurant) .He said we could go to the bar later as it closed at one . (after dinner it was deserted) One night they had ran out of rosé wine, and all he replied was : "tonight it is or white or red." On several occasions we felt as school kids reprimanded by our principal. As the bar had a very poor selection of drinks (no cocktails) I one night ordered a bottle of champagne. The price was 1000 dirham, being 90 euro for a Laurent Perrier. I knew we were in Africa (so I settled with that price and decided to drink the rest at dinner.) There we had to pour it ourselves . When I signed the bill that same night, 1500 dirham was charged!!! After some discussion they said it was a different one than on the menu (which they hadn't mentioned) and they changed the bill . When my husband asked Olivier for advice on the two kinds of wines they had, he advised us one ,which was " at the same price" ,which wasn't right! We had to show him on the menu there was a price difference of again 100 dirham!
Kind and helpful staff, comfortable facilities, lovely pool areas and great scenery. Perfect for mixing relaxation with great hiking.
It's a bit undersold on the booking.com website. We didn't realize there were 3 great pools, hot tub, lovely cabana like rooms with a patio and a beautiful main building w a great porch looking over the large pool. Amazing gardens and it's quite a big resort. We were happily surprised so maybe the website needs an image update? This place was fantastic but it wasn't quite captured online.
the garden, the surroundings. a godd place to relax and to meet other people.. a little paradise
A beautiful hotel with welcoming staff and great rooms. We were so happy with our stay there, everyone made us feel welcome and made our stay something to remember. Fantastic place. Highly recommended.
Some games like backgammon, chess, cards etc would be welcome in the lounge. The wine list was very limited and some of the wine was not very nice.
Fabulous location, food was great, the gardens lovely, olive groves, fruit orchards, the staff were very helpful and the owner charming. There are horses to ride, acres of countryside walks and a health spa. What more could you want from a get away holiday!
If you're there for longer than 3 days it would pay dividends to have a rental car.
Gardens and mountain location
The setting is spectacular it is very peaceful in the mountains. I enjoyed the gardens and the food. We had a senior suite and it was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 3 children.
It's really beautiful landscape around the hotel. Best place for tracking! Restaurant staff was nice and they pay a lot attantion to the guests. Breakfast is massive and tasty. Big cosy chemini in the restaurant. Beautiful garden in the hotel: roses, trees with grenades, olives and lemons.
Nothing was working - hammam, sauna were closed without any notices. It was very cold in the rooms - wall heaters didn't work. Bad value for money in the restaurant. Very far from any other places (nearest village is 15 km from the hotel). It's very expensive for nothing special! Except the garden.
excellent facilities, helpful staff, beautiful surroundings, location
cold water in the swimming pool, main courses were very poor
The hotel is a really relaxing place to spend some time and the gardens are just beautiful. There are 45 rooms in total but they are really well spread out so it never feels busy. The pools (3 in total) are chilly but really nice and there is an outdoor hot tub too. We also played tennis and went for a guided walk in the mountains. The food is pretty good with a reasonable mix. And of course the views of the mountains are amazing!
You have to eat in the main restaurant at night which is nice but just quite formal - for lunch we asked to just have a sandwich served by the pool and that seemed to be fine. The rooms are big and clean but could probably do with a little bit of attention - for example the shower could get far too hot and you had to hold the shower handle in your hand. Location wise there is not really anywhere to walk to as the town doesn't have much to do/see.
Domaine de la Roseraie was the most wonderful find, such a contrast to the hectic pace of Marrakech, beautiful scenery, tranquil, with the most fabulous gardens to enjoy. The rooms were wonderful with large comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated in traditional moroccan style. The staff were extremely helpful at all times and made us feel very welcome. Nabil, the owner, went out of his way to assist and ensure that we had a perfect holiday, both in arranging our stay and whilst we were there. We really do hope to return sometime soon to this little bit of paradise!
Nothing to dislike - everything was fabulous!
The gardens, the pools, wildlife, the stables, the fantastic views, the peace and solitude, the food, the comfortable room, having a private terrace, the wonderful staff. . .
Absolutely glorious location in the most amazing tropical gardens. Very quiet with lots of shade around the pools. Clean and well maintained gardens. Polite, helpful and courteous staff. Casablanca beers.
We would definately stay again. However, for us the food was unadventurous, unimaginative and bland. There was plenty of it! Breakfast should include some fresh fruit. The evening meal needs to be seriously spiced up with local fresh herbs and ground spices. These are easily available and with better food this hotel would become truly amazing. The wine list needs to be improved as well. It was absolutely fine but the food could be improved so easily its a shame they have yet to do this.
