This Riad is in the center of Essaouira just steps from the port and beach. Each traditional Moroccan room at the Riad Chakir Mogador has a private bathroom and a sitting area.

Very friendly owner, good location, clean and tidy rooms, nice balcony, breakfast outside
Owr room was a little bit small, but was a big deal.
We did booked and PAID FULL AMOUNT of 459.36Euro for 3 rooms, 4 nights from 13 sep 2014 - 17 sep 2014 but we had to change plan so we wrote email to them on 20 aug 2014. Since we sent an email, 8 days have passed without any answer. We had to make an international call from Thailand to Morocco asking them to take action on this issue. The woman on the phone said she would tell the boss to answer. From here, it took us another 3 days to get a very slow answer from someone saying that they will give no money back to us. We did not understand why????!!!!! We have informed them 23 days (almost one month) before our arrival. In fact if they want to charge us, maximum should be just one night not for 4 nights!!!!!!!! Non sense at all. We are very angry and promise will never return to this place anymore. Very unfair experience. Will never recommend anyone to visit!!!
Rooms were lovely, very intimate and cosy. Great wifi coverage within the rooms.
Cleaning staff were very loud in the mornings and there was no opportunity to relax/sleep in. Cleaning staff didn't clean our rooms in between each day which was a shame (we therefore used wet towels and needed to request toilet paper etc). Hotel confirmation said that we would be able to pay in cash however the hotel had charged our card upon our arrival. When we checked out we went to pay with cash (which we had taken out specifically) and the hotel wouldn't refund the card and take our cash (even though we showed the confirmation email and were correct), we lost approximately $50 on the exchange rate and ATM fees.
Decoration of the room. Cleanless. Very nice breakfast. The owner was able to speak English and very helpful.
the room was very clean and well designed. a bit small but very nice. the position was ok inside the medina. breakfast in the terrace on the sofas.
The place was advertised as a hotel but once we arrived we were shocked. It is a small riyad in a dirty mudy neighborhood. Very narrow and small rooms. We couldnt wait to get out of that place. We tried to talk to the owner that we are not interested in staying there and we dont mind paying the booking fee but the (french owner) she was very arrogant on the phone and had no idea what customer service was all about. Her main goal was to charge my credit cardssince ihad done my booking online. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would like booking.com to reconsider theirlisting since it is farfar away from been a hotel. The worst experience ever in Morocco. Be careful when booking, look around their are a lot more better places for half the price.
Everything about this place especially the French owners attitude.
