Score from 523 reviews Very good
I loved having breafast outside and then a walk in the garden. I lost my luggage at Marakech airport when i found its not unusual but the hotel staff were very helpful
Limited options of TV channels
The pool was excellent. Breakfast was great. The bar - in particular With live piano Music was great.
Sometimes internet was slow. Elevator was occasionally out of order. Missed slippers in room.
Food in restaurant was nice (but expensive)
Staff is rude (specially management). Room is old. No wifi except in lobby (and still not stable). It is NOT EVEN CLOSE to 5 star. All facilities are from years ago. Would NEVER go back.
Attentive, friendly staff good location fabulous gym excellent breakfast
We believed that whilst staying at this hotel, we would have access to the spa and the gym. In fact, we could use nearby gym (excellent) but the spa had to be paid for, and was expensive (35 euros per person for only 2 hours). Even the little spa near the hotel had to be paid for. So there was no steambath, sauna, etc and even a pool towel was too much for the spa staff to lend to us when we arrived without a towel for the outdoor pool. It wasn't that we didn't like this, it was just a bit disappointing.
Perfect location, near all the nicest restaurants in Marrakech, nice casino, beautiful garden, nice pool, friendly staff. Walking distance from the old centre, but also very near the new city. Walking distance from all the nice restaurants and clubs.
THE ATMOSPHERE WAS NICE. IT WAS QUITE AT THE HOTEL AND THERE NEVER SEEMED TO BE ANY HURRY AROUND THE PLACE
THE PLACE LOOKED A LITTLE OLD ESPECIALLY THE ROOMS, THE CARPETS, BATHROOMS ETC
The airco was noisy and even with the airco on it was still hot in the room
It was a wonderful oasis in the madness of Marakech
There were fantastic facilities that were in the grounds but it was not made clear that we were not allowed to use those at the Esaadi Palace which in the compound.
Great Buffet for the feast day in the palace garden. Nineteen fifties comfort in the main hotel.
The division between the palace hotel and the ordinary hotel is rather confusing.
Big complex of hotel, palace hotel, villas and Casino. My room was upgraded and wonderfully comfortable, and the pool and massage facilities are exceptional.
It's a big functional nineteen fifties building so don't look for oriental charm or cutting edge gastronomy.
Staff willingness to help. Location.
Room furniture was too used up.
Pool Breakfast Nearish to airport
A bit international
Very good staff Mr Badri, extremely helpful and understanding of our situation. Upgraded to a suite so spacious room. Able to use the suite to put kids fold out bed for our 5 and 3 year olds.
Booking claimed this was a 5 star hotel which it clearly is not. Its 1965 decor and not been updated since, the rugs in the main areas show their age, the rooms are very tired and the carpets within the room could do with being thrown out. The bathroom towels are a bright yellow colour which makes me think they bought a lot of it because it was cheap and no other hotel with an ounce of 'class' would use these colour towels ever! Carpets in the room a real bug bear and an absolute no-no in such hot countries. One pool only which can get pretty crowded by lunchtime and not for children who cannot swim as they don't have a shallow section apart from the steps going into the pool
We really loved the hotel. Facilities were good and the staff were lovely. We liked being able to use the facilities of the Palace next door (except the pool) and had drinks in the 1000 bar most evenings. Fantastic location close enough to the medina. We would definitely return to this hotel!
Our only negative issues relate to the pool. There are insufficient sunbeds (and the hotel was not busy) yet many people still reserved them by putting towels down. Some people often did not use these reserved beds until after 3pm. We mentioned this to the lifeguards and they told us that they try to address it. When they move towels which are not being used, they have had allegations of theft made against them. Also, unsupervised young children running riot in the pool became a little tiresome. Parents seemed to turn a blind eye to their offspring causing nuisance to other guests.
We had a very enjoyable week, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was in a perfect location, close enough to the medina but far enough away for a peaceful retreat.
The Hivernage location is a pleasant escape from the frantic Medina. The hotel is large and has a good club inside.
The pool wasn't very clean. Also the hotel is in desperate need of renovation. La Mamounia and others around it in better condition.
Amazing grounds attentive staff great Villa's and Suites Greg location
the booking.com reservation was not received by the hotel
Comfortable hotel, nice pool and garden. Friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms need updating, they're still in the 90's and doesn't deserve the 4 stars.
Great grounds, very sumptuous breakfast, huge bedroom.
Room excellent. pool area well organised & comfortable, staff extremely accommodating throughout the hotel. nothing too much trouble. breakfast very adequate, fresh & a good variety for a continental menu. Madeleine, Essex.
Location and wifi.
Not a 5* Hotel. Bad cleanliness. Room smelled. No balcony even though we paid for one. Poor finishes all round. unhelpful staff. Garden is dedicated to the Palace and the villas. Small pool. Industrial breakfast. This place is a 3* costa del sol hotel in Marrakech and it looks like it was designed by communists... had to leave since I did not get what I paid for.
Big and good breakfast, very friendly staff, well equipped gym, confortable, clean room, nice pool, fast laundry service, close to the center
Prices for food/drinks, breakfast tables were not cleaned very fast
I stayed at the El Saadi hotel. Almost all pictures of the pool and grounds shown on the website are not of the EL Saadi hotel. The pictures are of the Palace hotel, part of the resort and EL Saadi guests are not allowed to used the Palace's pool. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we have been shown around the EL Saadi and it looked nothing like the pictures on the website. To our surprise, we have been told that the guests of the El Saadi hotel are not allowed to use the the pool facilities of the Palace hotel. The advertisement is very misleading. The grounds surrounding the EL Saadi hotel are very small, the pool is quite small and it gets very crowded once everyone comes down. EL Saadi is an old hotel, and in my personal opinion is not a 5* hotel. Very disappointing.
