Pool Breakfast Nearish to airport
A bit international
Very good staff Mr Badri, extremely helpful and understanding of our situation. Upgraded to a suite so spacious room. Able to use the suite to put kids fold out bed for our 5 and 3 year olds.
Booking claimed this was a 5 star hotel which it clearly is not. Its 1965 decor and not been updated since, the rugs in the main areas show their age, the rooms are very tired and the carpets within the room could do with being thrown out. The bathroom towels are a bright yellow colour which makes me think they bought a lot of it because it was cheap and no other hotel with an ounce of 'class' would use these colour towels ever! Carpets in the room a real bug bear and an absolute no-no in such hot countries. One pool only which can get pretty crowded by lunchtime and not for children who cannot swim as they don't have a shallow section apart from the steps going into the pool
We really loved the hotel. Facilities were good and the staff were lovely. We liked being able to use the facilities of the Palace next door (except the pool) and had drinks in the 1000 bar most evenings. Fantastic location close enough to the medina. We would definitely return to this hotel!
Our only negative issues relate to the pool. There are insufficient sunbeds (and the hotel was not busy) yet many people still reserved them by putting towels down. Some people often did not use these reserved beds until after 3pm. We mentioned this to the lifeguards and they told us that they try to address it. When they move towels which are not being used, they have had allegations of theft made against them. Also, unsupervised young children running riot in the pool became a little tiresome. Parents seemed to turn a blind eye to their offspring causing nuisance to other guests.
We had a very enjoyable week, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was in a perfect location, close enough to the medina but far enough away for a peaceful retreat.
The Hivernage location is a pleasant escape from the frantic Medina. The hotel is large and has a good club inside.
The pool wasn't very clean. Also the hotel is in desperate need of renovation. La Mamounia and others around it in better condition.
Amazing grounds attentive staff great Villa's and Suites Greg location
the booking.com reservation was not received by the hotel
Comfortable hotel, nice pool and garden. Friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms need updating, they're still in the 90's and doesn't deserve the 4 stars.
Great grounds, very sumptuous breakfast, huge bedroom.
Room excellent. pool area well organised & comfortable, staff extremely accommodating throughout the hotel. nothing too much trouble. breakfast very adequate, fresh & a good variety for a continental menu. Madeleine, Essex.
Location and wifi.
Not a 5* Hotel. Bad cleanliness. Room smelled. No balcony even though we paid for one. Poor finishes all round. unhelpful staff. Garden is dedicated to the Palace and the villas. Small pool. Industrial breakfast. This place is a 3* costa del sol hotel in Marrakech and it looks like it was designed by communists... had to leave since I did not get what I paid for.
Big and good breakfast, very friendly staff, well equipped gym, confortable, clean room, nice pool, fast laundry service, close to the center
Prices for food/drinks, breakfast tables were not cleaned very fast
I stayed at the El Saadi hotel. Almost all pictures of the pool and grounds shown on the website are not of the EL Saadi hotel. The pictures are of the Palace hotel, part of the resort and EL Saadi guests are not allowed to used the Palace's pool. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we have been shown around the EL Saadi and it looked nothing like the pictures on the website. To our surprise, we have been told that the guests of the El Saadi hotel are not allowed to use the the pool facilities of the Palace hotel. The advertisement is very misleading. The grounds surrounding the EL Saadi hotel are very small, the pool is quite small and it gets very crowded once everyone comes down. EL Saadi is an old hotel, and in my personal opinion is not a 5* hotel. Very disappointing.
Hotel and staff were great. Liked the way we could eat outside for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The sunbeds around the pool are very close together.Pool at the palace 10 times nicer!
Nice breakfast Great pool area and service Tasty pool restaurant
Rooms on city side very noisy; Was not obvious that its actually two hotels, the super posh palace hotel and the quite outdated hotel. Hence i expected something different especially as the pictures show the spa a lot which is in the palace and not included if you book the normal hotel
A bit expensive
Nothing about your dreadful misleading dishonest company
Your dishonesty in advertising pictures, showing your full facilities but not advising that these facilities are not available!!
Issues with aircondioning. They privide only heating when ur room is all heated up due to high temperatures. No fan. Their taps in bath give only hot water and if u adjust for cold the knob comes out.
Location and ambiance Good restaurants
The concierges are arrogant and quite unhelpful in giving directions to new people in town Cab and tours organized by them are rip offs
Great food in the restaurant, lovely pool and spa.
Was a bit pricey, and did find the service a bit slow when busy. Nevertheless, I would recommend and go again myself.
The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful at all times. Breakfast at the Palace (Resort facilities being refurbished) was superb and the location excellent.
There were no toilets in the public areas apart from a bedroom on the first floor (31) allocated for this purpose. The pool had toilets in close proximity but they were not exactly pristine. The rooms were very warm, heating on because of time of year despite temperatures in the mid twenties. Air conditioning, although advertised, was not available. This resulted in very uncomfortable, sweaty, sleeping conditions where the use of just a sheet was overwhelming. On the 5th floor, where we had a suite, there was a constant unfavourable stench of drains that pervaded the room and passageway. In general the hotel appeared very tired and in need of some refurbishment which was made the more obvious on visiting the Palace hotel.
Asking for my credit card at check in towards any extras ...
The en suite bathroom was spacious. Room service was very good: excellent breakfast provided at 2.30 am for no extra charge. The outdoor heated pool was excellent.
Our pool-side room had patio doors which could not be secured. We were surprised that the main hotel building where we stayed was a simple, rectangular concrete block without architectural or decorative charm. This was not what we had expected from the pictures on the website. We were unhappy to be initially overcharged for our room without explanation. Also, we were charged 200 Dr for a 5-minute taxi ride to the airport arranged through Hotel Reception. Taxi rates published at the airport indicate a cost of 60Dr, and the website mentions a free airport shuttle. We e-mailed the hotel ('Personal for the General Manager') about the attempted overcharge and taxi fare but received no reply.
