The service was excellent. All the staff were friendly and efficient. One waiter needs a special mention. We were having a drink and examining a wooden box that we had just bought at the Medina. We were trying to open it and discovered that it was broken. Sissi, the waiter, saw what we were doing and asked us for the box. He took it away and about 20 minutes later he came back with a brand new, bigger one! We offered to pay for it, but he refused to accept any money. It is an act of kindness such as this that makes a trip memorable.
The rooms are in need of a refurbishment. There was only one English television channel.
Problems with credit cards, better to pay a cash.
Safe/close location can walk to Medina. Good food (pool restaurant). AMAZING gym facilities. Overall value for money.
Pictures of the pool online are actually only for Palace; hotel pool is ok but not as nice. Staff is correct but not the friendliest (concierge desk very cold). Breakfast service slow.
quiet, good breakfast, friendly staff
expensive restaurant (main dishes around 20 €) and services (hammam beginning from 15 €)
Good location to visit Marrakesh, tasty food, good value for money
They could refresh the rooms, no slippers or bathrobes were available
Would highly recommend, quiet and peaceful yet very well located.
la situation géographique le personnel trop gentil
The Hotel is overpriced, the rooms are too old, the towels were very very old as well and very thin for a 5 starts hotels
Unprofessional staff, room cleanliness, room standard, hotel policies (no food from outside can be brought in), lack of customer sincere service (tips expected for doing their job), better options and value for money close by
This first hotel which not allow to bring water from outside , I hope from booking to alert the people booking this hotel Old furniture
I loved having breafast outside and then a walk in the garden. I lost my luggage at Marakech airport when i found its not unusual but the hotel staff were very helpful
Limited options of TV channels
The pool was excellent. Breakfast was great. The bar - in particular With live piano Music was great.
Sometimes internet was slow. Elevator was occasionally out of order. Missed slippers in room.
Food in restaurant was nice (but expensive)
Staff is rude (specially management). Room is old. No wifi except in lobby (and still not stable). It is NOT EVEN CLOSE to 5 star. All facilities are from years ago. Would NEVER go back.
Attentive, friendly staff good location fabulous gym excellent breakfast
We believed that whilst staying at this hotel, we would have access to the spa and the gym. In fact, we could use nearby gym (excellent) but the spa had to be paid for, and was expensive (35 euros per person for only 2 hours). Even the little spa near the hotel had to be paid for. So there was no steambath, sauna, etc and even a pool towel was too much for the spa staff to lend to us when we arrived without a towel for the outdoor pool. It wasn't that we didn't like this, it was just a bit disappointing.
Perfect location, near all the nicest restaurants in Marrakech, nice casino, beautiful garden, nice pool, friendly staff. Walking distance from the old centre, but also very near the new city. Walking distance from all the nice restaurants and clubs.
THE ATMOSPHERE WAS NICE. IT WAS QUITE AT THE HOTEL AND THERE NEVER SEEMED TO BE ANY HURRY AROUND THE PLACE
THE PLACE LOOKED A LITTLE OLD ESPECIALLY THE ROOMS, THE CARPETS, BATHROOMS ETC
The airco was noisy and even with the airco on it was still hot in the room
It was a wonderful oasis in the madness of Marakech
There were fantastic facilities that were in the grounds but it was not made clear that we were not allowed to use those at the Esaadi Palace which in the compound.
Great Buffet for the feast day in the palace garden. Nineteen fifties comfort in the main hotel.
The division between the palace hotel and the ordinary hotel is rather confusing.
Big complex of hotel, palace hotel, villas and Casino. My room was upgraded and wonderfully comfortable, and the pool and massage facilities are exceptional.
It's a big functional nineteen fifties building so don't look for oriental charm or cutting edge gastronomy.
Staff willingness to help. Location.
Room furniture was too used up.
Pool Breakfast Nearish to airport
A bit international
Very good staff Mr Badri, extremely helpful and understanding of our situation. Upgraded to a suite so spacious room. Able to use the suite to put kids fold out bed for our 5 and 3 year olds.
Booking claimed this was a 5 star hotel which it clearly is not. Its 1965 decor and not been updated since, the rugs in the main areas show their age, the rooms are very tired and the carpets within the room could do with being thrown out. The bathroom towels are a bright yellow colour which makes me think they bought a lot of it because it was cheap and no other hotel with an ounce of 'class' would use these colour towels ever! Carpets in the room a real bug bear and an absolute no-no in such hot countries. One pool only which can get pretty crowded by lunchtime and not for children who cannot swim as they don't have a shallow section apart from the steps going into the pool
