Large spacious rooms. Free taxi for return journey to the airport. Large selection of food available at breakfast. Attentive reception staff.

Few other guests made the atmosphere seem rather soulless. More staff than guests.

The pool was clean. The breakfast was superb. The staff was so nice. The grounds are beautiful.

They didn't have an iron so you have to pay for your clothes to get ironed. And they don't have clocks in the room. We never knew what time it was.

The pool is outstanding. The hotel is an enormous, cool, haven of tranquillity safely away from the craziness of the medina and yet a 20 minute walk. Breakfast superb - fruit juices freshly squeezed. Rooms are enormous and gorgeous.

    Nothing.

Superb swimming pool in large grounds. Access to the spa included with room. Friendly helpful staff.

Had to chase from time to time to get certain housekeeping items attended to.

    The location is very good.

There was some noise from the renovation and I couldn't sleep well. The hotel is pretty old. The door key can get impossible to fit in the hole! It was very annoying and I don't drink. I can't imagine a drunk person trying to get in her/his room in the middle of the night!

Very nice rooms in palace, beautiful garden with pool. Very helpful staff.

    - Some of the rooms in house nr 3 of Es Saadi palace are below the dinner restaurant/2nd floor (noise around 10/11 pm) or above/close to the breakfast terrace (cleaning noise at 4 or 5 am in the morning) so try house nr 1 or 2. - Very busy traffic on road outside the garden, much less noise on ground floor level (although then without mountain view)

I loved everything! the entire experience was luxurious and free of any commonplace hickups. I was visiting for business but ended feeling like I was on a luxury vacation instead!

The SPA's dressing room for ladies smelled quite badly both times I was there. The rest of the SPA experience was great, so fixing that problem would make the whole thing a dream!

Staff charming and helpful, spa pool, size and comfort of junior suite, delicious food - all absolutely brilliant!

To be honest, I found the hammam massage very rough, so not really relaxing. Felt like a piece of meat being pounded on a slab!

Suite was fabulous, spacious snd comfortable. Daily maid service excellent. Loved the spa and had several treatments there; great spa staff. Good breakfast buffet.

Concierge staff not at all helpful. We either got wrong information or none at all. Front desk staff very unfriendly. Pool waiter tried to cheat us on price of water even though price listed on menu. They pretended it was misprint on menu and wouldn't back down. I complained to manager and got our money back. Ate dinner at poolside restaurant one night and ordered 'gnocchi' with 4 cheeses for 200 dirham (about $25 or 18 Euros). Turns out this gnocchi was shell pasta from a box! Told waiter and he argued it was gnocchi! I wouldn't have minded paying that price for real hand-made gnocchi, but this was a serious misrepresentation. I am surprised that a hotel purporting to be such a high caliber would allow these sorts of breaches. Train the staff better and don't offer menu items that you don't have. Breakfast staff slow and inattentive with getting coffee, utensils and napkins for us. Found fly in coffee jug our last morning.

Terrible. The main lagoon pool was drained empty with no warning. We complained to reception and emailed, and still have not been answered to the compensation we seek. Without the pool we were left with a much smaller pool barely a quarter of the size. The hotel would have been much nicer to stay in perhaps 10-20yrs ago where the would have been more than 25 guests in the palace. The bars and lounges were empty, leaving no atmosphere to socialise with other guests. The belly dancing and snake charming dinner was not running either due to the low level of guests. The restaurant prices were also absurd. About 4-5 more expensive than the food in the medina. A (very) simple lunch costing €40, compared to medina prices of €15 for 2. Stay at the Sofitel next door, much nicer!

I have stayed at the Es Saadi twice previously. This was my third (& likely to be last) visit. However, the junior suites are a great size and well equipped - especially the bathrooms. Great art exhibition too (although this hasn't changed since last year). Some staff very helpful. The hotel (not palace) restaurant a la carte menu (never alters year after year) BUT the quality of food here is exceptional. Room service in the Palace was prompt and much better for breakfast than going down to the dreadful breakfast menu in the Palace!

I have stayed at the Es Saadi twice previously. This was my third (& likely to be last) visit. Why? There is simply no recognition of your custom (repeat custom). A holiday is a discretionary spend and there are indeed so many places and alternatives to visit rather than the Es Saadi Palace. Not once did the duty manager say 'hi', or 'welcome back'! Some staff are downright hostile. The 'customer service' around the poolside is non existent! I have never seen staff working so hard at avoiding their guests! The palace was abdolutely empty (same last year). The business plan here is flawed as nearby hotels were much busier! I found the palace dirty (externally), covered in bird droppings and all furniture in need if varnish. The seat & sunbed cushions are never cleaned - just 'turned over'! Oh yes, the main pool was drained and empty. If swimming was your goal as part of a relaxing holiday (as it was for us) it would be a BIG disappointment! I cannot say strongly or clearly enough how disappointing the customer experience is at the Palace. Would I revisit or recommend the palace - no!
