Nice breakfast and dinner.swimmimg pool was good.
Swimmig timeonly up to 7pm
Close to medina, relaxing atmosphere full with trees,a cool oasis in the hot of Marrakech.Comfortable room.Free parking.
Not many sunbeds available. You have to be early at the pool in order to catch a sundbed.
Staff were cheerful, courteous and helpful and many were happy to speak English. Room was spacious and spotless and cleaned daily. Food was varied, plentiful and tasteful. Swimming pool was very clean and well supervised. Lobby areas had plenty of comfortable seating. Bar was nice and relaxing.
The absence of a notice board giving details of day trips, tours and night life activities in Marrakesh.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the grounds are beautiful. The location was very central. We felt very safe and comfortable .
The swimming pool closes too early,8pm , and the complimentary breakfast filled the gap, but left a lot to be desired.
The room was well appointed and clean. The older staff are just lovely- so genuine and just so helpful. The younger staff could learn a few things from the older staff! The breakfast has a good selection. The hotel has good amenities and is a large hotel.
- The hotel is in need of a major renovation - There is no wifi in the rooms!!!!! And in the main reception, it is a very weak signal. This is a huge issue! I was on the fifth floor; there was definitely no wifi there which for me, was a HUGE issue. - The bar and restaurants could remain open after 11 pm. I wanted to relax and have a drink but couldn't as the bar closed at 11 pm!!
Pool time too short. Late opening and early closing. Woukd be better if they prolong swimming pool time until 9 or 10pm.
Bien ubicado y amplio estacionamiento.
pobre wifi, Necesita un restiling urgente.
Very pleasant gardens and swimming pool area. Impressive foyer and comfortable lounge. Adequate parking.
Room a bit shabby - in need of a refit. Wi-Fi patchy and very limited to a few areas on the ground floor. Location about 25 minutes walk from the medina, not ten minutes as stated. Credit card rejected, but worked fine in ATM.
taxi rank outside. clean rooms.
very slow room service and pool ran out of towels.
The hotel is average but good location and can walk to Jamma al fanna square within 10 to 15 minutes or few minutes taxi ride. Room cleaned every morning but need to be modernised. Good pool side and Wi fi and good security.
Limited Breakfast options, staff are friendly but not helpful. Toilet door lock wasn't working and bath was block, this was reported to reception on arrival but did not respond or follow up. Was locked in toilet for 25 minute next day due to faulty lock, maintenance took ages. Made a formal complain but staff ignored and just said sorry? Had no iron facilities but referred to in house paid laundry which is very poor for a 4* hotel. Room safe wasn't working on last day, had call and speak to reception staff several time to open the room safe which took over an a hour as I had to catch my flight. Once again maintains took their time, luckily I managed to catch my flight on time. Over all I was very disappointed with the hotel and my stay. Will never recommend this hotel to friends or shall I return back.
Hivernage is a lovely neighborhood, the best hotels are there, nice restaurants and cafes, mostly on the roof of the houses/buildings. Golden Tulip has a lovely garden with big pool, breakfast buffet is OK. 20 minutes walk in the shade of trees to the medina.
Management should invest in WIFI, they have 2, one at the reception (bad place for someone who needs to work) and one at the pool, but both are poor. Guests block all the sun loungers or chairs around the pool early in the morning with towels and don't come back or use them all day long so you need to be there early and leave your beach towel to "reserve" one for you.
very good hotel, everything was OK, excellent price/performance ratio
Nice pool with beautiful garden and bar!
Not many people speak English
Spacious room, perhaps it was a suite?
The breakfast was very poor! What should have been hot was cold and the choice was very limited.
rooms a little jaded and past their best
There was no multichannel TV only an ancient analogue set with no remote,no complimentary tea/coffee in room, no mini bar, no vending machines in hotel.. The shop had a policy of not stocking bottled water or soft drinks forcing everyone to use room service or queue up at the bar. The room safe you had to pay extra for. Doesn't add up to 4 stars, I am afraid.
Nice sorroundings and fine garden around the pool. A good place to balance the Marrakesh city life with relaxing amenities for families with children.
Food good. Staff helpful. Clean facilities.
Would have preferred coffee making facilities or mini bar in room.
The location was excellent the staff were brilliant
The cleanliness were slightly less than expected, but when raised the issue was resolved.
it was a peaceful haven from the insantity that is downtown.....the staff were excellent.....
The weather . the food and service at pool bar was good and the waiting staff were mostly very good .
very poor choice at breakfast except for baked goods which were lovely.but scrambled eggs chopped up frankfurters and fried potatoes every single day was very disappointing.they would not even cook a fried or poached egg as a change when we asked.other meals were also very poor quality.we ate out after the first night though the morroccan night food was fantastic but that was not done by the the hotel staff.
Reda ( fairly dark complexion) from the reception team stands out. Very helpful and friendly.
Carpet on Corridor is stained . The elevators smell and the towels are not soft.
Rooms, breakfast are ok, garden and swimningpool (water is cold in february) are beautiful.
Staff at the counter/entry is not very friendly or willing to help or inform. Pity, because it's a nice hotel and would give a much better feeling when you feel welcome.
Booked the half board option, breakfast not bad, but buffet lunch very good with a nice selection of hot and cold dishes, salads and desserts. Very friendly staff.
Wifi only in the lobby and sometimes intermittent. Hotel getting slightly tired.
i didnt like it anything..totol rabbish hotel i see in my life.it not value for money..plus dinner time you have buy even normal water ....what a babbish..never come back this hotel
