i like'd the pool, breakfast, bungalows the comfort, the staff, the garden

only 1 thing i think the rooms can be given a fresh look by buying some new stuff

unclean of the restaurantt and bedroom. Some staffmembers,that you costantilly ask for extra money if you do a smalle service

The pool area definitely is a wonderfully landscaped oasis. Housekeeping staff were bright and cheery. The distance from the busy medina was just right.

The hotel overall is a bit shabby and must have been terrific when it was new. The staff was usually unhelpful-it seemed just not accustomed to giving service. We waited ten minutes in the lobby for someone to tell us whether or not they could give us a map of the city. At the pool towels were denied to our sons and begrudgingly handed out to us when we insisted. We had to keep them the entire stay as they ran out of towels every afternoon. Ants in the bathroom got bigger (literally) each day

We were a group of six friends staying in two of the Bungalows for 5 nights. The hotel is excellent for the price and we would recommend to anyone looking for a short stay with family or friends. We had no complaints.

Good location: not far from the Medina quiet nights good facilities: bar and pool to recover from the visit of a dusty,noisy and crowded Marrakech good price/quality ratio

No negative remarks , especially after comparing the price versus quality, in Tulip and in other hotels

Rooms are small and below my expectation. Food is average

The location of the hotel was excellent for access to the old city and sight seeing in general. It is approx 2km from the hotel to the city walls

The breakfast was very poor. Bread and pqastries were always stale and their was a limited selection of food. We ended up going to a local cafe rather than eat breakfast in the hotel

The closeness of the place to the City centre and yet far from the noise of it. 10mns walk from it is very good. Restaurant for breakfast & dinner is good and staff in it excellent.

Needs maintenance as I have noticed nothing has been done since last year.

Terrible food in the main restaurant serving breakfasts and demi-pension meals. Chef must have worked for the Moroccan army. Unheated outdoor pool. In winter nice to look at but freezing.

Very poor on the cleaness scale. The towels were grey not while. the walls had bugs crushed on them. The duplex needed a paint job real bad. Very Very dissapointed!

Staff was nice

The gardens and pool rea are beautifully maintained.

Found the hotel a little cold, in our room and in the dining area. The food was often cold too, microwave available for clients use would be a benefit.

We spent 5.days there every thing were Excellent..location, staff,sevices,comfort,value..i would recommonded it .

Close to the Medina but very peaceful - set in beautiful mature gardens with a very good swimming pool and a decent tennis court. Plenty of space in the hotel with a good ratio of facilities to the number of guests. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The hotel could do with some updating and a spring clean but does represent value for money

Located 10 minutes walk from the Medina, the Golden Tulip Hotel was exactly what we needed after a few days in the heart of Fez Medina in a Riad (see review Riad Tayba. The classified 3-star is far above that, bordering on 4.5 star in most areas of service and atmosphere. It's a bit dated in design, but well maintained, making it a fine example of 1980s hotel design. Our standard $60US room had an internet deficiency, which was a serious problem since I needed to still be in touch with my business. Voicing a complaint with the manager, he instantly moved us to a 2 storey bungalow with internet and wifi...without any additional fee. This is 5-star class service! We enjoyed the pool area and lounges as much as our luxury suite and would have recommended even the standard hotel room to anyone on a budget but needing a classier luxury hotel pampering. Being located so close (yet so far) from the Medina allowed us a different and appreciative accommodation perspective.

We did find a large cockroach in the room but once we dealt with this, it did not resurface. The food is standard 3-star fare..but cheap enough, so few complaints.

Excellent value hotel in a beautiful part of Marrakech.

Air conditioning in the room did not work properly. Breakfast selection was very linited and although we had paid for bed and breakfast we were still charged at breakfast if we wanted freshly squeezed orange juice,coffee or omlette.

Good location within walking distance of the Medina lovely pool area, nice food (catch evening buffet fairly early as fish dried up a bit later on) free WiFi room rate very competitive

Rooms a bit dated though unfair to really criticize as not expensive . Evening buffet not to sharp if you eat late as food hangs around a bit, but no problem with food or choice if you catch it early enough. This may be due to hotel not being full during our stay and therefore the food turnaround time was longer.
