Hivernage Hotel & Spa    

The location is great, litterally 10-15 min walks to the main tourist spots. Also very close to nice restaurants. The hotel is nice and clean, good showers an confortable beds. It was not too noisy but our bedroom was not looking onto the main street. I would definitely recomment getting a Hamman treatment at the spa, I did it and it was great- the spa itself is quite pricey though pretty much like London prices, but not as nice.

Nothing major, but if you are looking to relax after sightseeing, then it is best to go to another hotel- their swimming pool is small, not heated, there are only a handfull of sunloungers and the whole area is in between the two hotel buildings so in the shade before 11am and after 2:30-3pm. Also, compared to the Sofitel (which has a huge outdoor area and swimming pool) across the road and is also a 5 star, it really lacks the 'wow' factor. The service also lets it down a bit, the staff is pleasant enough, but service is genreally slow and does not compare to any 5 star we have stayed in before in the uk or other countries. I would advise avoiding the cafeteria of the hotel which can be used for lunches called La table du marche, as the staff there is just plain rude.

Lovely clean quiet hotel, staff were pleasant and facilities were very good.

Mainly nothing except the location and car parking facilities

No double windows hearing cars all night 2. shitty breakfast, do it yourself 3. room dirty, stuff falling apart 4. price high for what you get!!!!!!!!!!!! 5. people doing rooms are noisy, talk loud AND BANG DOORS 6. very small reception area 7. elevator not functioning 8. and the best the price you can get at the hotel is far cheaper than YOURS given to me (around 400 mad difference)

Practical for the Pure exhibition

The first night we were bumped across to the Meridian, room had gone technical! Must have been the a/c as it never actually worked when we did arive, pushing hot rather than cold air.

The location was ideal. Walking distance to the main square and in a safe part of town. The staff was friendly and overly helpful and made sure all requests were handled expeditiously. The room was very clean and properly service at all times. The restaurant was very good and served a good selection of foods.

There was no coffee maker or tea service in the room, so everything had to be ordered from room service. You could not spontanteously have a cup of tea or coffee. Would recommend that the rooms be outfitted with a coffee maker. Secondly, the internet did not work in the room and good signal was only available on the corridor or in the lobby.

Location. Close to clubs and restaurants.

Dumb staff. Roomservice. Poor assistance (2hours to get a iron and table). We took a room with a hammam to enjoy it but it doesn't work at all.

People were very helpful great location good food.

Wifi intermittent and not in rooms, pool in the wrong place never gets any sunshine.

The hotel staff were most polite and accommodating. We were given an upgrade to a luxury room with an extended late check out as our plane wasn't leaving until 5.30. The hotel is quite luxurious with extra large 7 excellent beds, everything you would want in a luxurious hotel was 'on tap'. The restaurant food was excellent with an extensive wine list (not something available in a Muslim country). The Sky Lounge has a wonderful view over the city and is a delightful place for a drink after a day in the heat. Compared to the other hotels in this area, the value was very good.

The music in the Sky Lounge is too loud and is not conducive to conversation.

Location - 5minute walk to the medina and main square and felt safe walking around in the evening, which was a primary driver as we were moving from a riad in the medina - was travelling with my elderly mother who did not like the alleyways of the medina and did not want to go out at all. Food - breakfast is a bargain and can last you all day. Dinner in the main restaurant is superb.

Could do with double glazing as the main road outside is busy all night and can be noisy.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 5 nights after we moved from a nearby Riad that we had issues with. The Hivernage Hotel was quite good. Firstly the location is about 10-15 minutes walk from Jamaâ El Fna Square. You can easily get a small taxi but getting them to use the meter is difficult however most will take you for 10 dirham. The front desk staff that we had contact with especially Hassan and Hannan were very helpful. I was very impressed with Hassan's attention to detail, he assisted us on several occasions and exceeded our expectations. The rooms were of reasonable size but a bit dated, the air conditioning was great with such hot weather outside. The mattress sagged a bit, I think it was two singles joined together. Breakfast was a bit simple for a buffet, the chef cooking the omelette saved the breakfast. The pool was nice also. The other spa facilities and roof top we didn't use. I would stay here again due to the good service provided by the front desk staff.

Some of the staff were excellent. Hotel is very high end, nice digs.

Some staff were rude, seem to prefer French travelers...so if you are french its cool. However, complaints were handled expediently.

Excellent Hotel and Restaurant Excellent Location

Friendly staff, spacious rooms, amazing smells of flowers, fantastic food.

Next to a busy nightlife district, noisy during night, better soundproof windows should be installed.

Il n y en a pas , peut etre la taille de la piscine et encore ...

La atención recibida en todo momento por parte de cualquier persona del hotel. Agradecer la ubicación del hotel en la zona de Hivernage y con acceso a la ciudad a pie sin dificultad. El desayuno era perfecto. Mi valoración general es satisfactoria

Lo que menos me ha gustado es que me esperaba una habitación más grande tal y como la muestran las fotos en la web. El ruido del aire acondicionado.

Je suis un habitué de cet établissement,il est resté égal à lui même depuis déjà 10 ans.Donc pas de surprise.

Problème de parking

Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. L'hôtel est très bien situé et vraiment agréable, la chambre très bien et la literie confortable. La piscine est plus petite que ce que nous pensions mais il y avait toujours des transats de libre. Très bon petit déjeuner. Le personnel à la réception est d'une grande gentillesse. Nous avons assisté à la soirée "d'inauguration" du Sky Bar (au 7ème étage de l'hôtel), superbe vue sur Marrakech, bonne ambiance (et nous avons eu de la chance, alcool gratuit).

Le jour de notre arrivée, nous sommes allées au spa pour des massages et une manucure/pedicure. Le personnel était très désagréable, les deux femmes qui se sont occupées de nous n'arrêtaient pas de papoter et de faire des messe basse en arabe (pendant la manucure/pedicure et au début des massages! Cela me semble être très mal poli dans la mesure où nous payons pour nous détendre et non pour nous sentir mal à l'aise. Elles n'étaient pas du tout souriantes, elles avaient l'air complètement blasées et saoulées... Le spa est donc à éviter, d'autant que les massages étaient loin d'être à la hauteur du prix, idem pour la manucure/pedicure (les ongles sont limés de travers et la pose de vernis très loin d'être précise...) Petit bémol sur la chambre : le lavabo dans la salle de bain était bouché, l'eau s'évacuait très lentement. Détail qui ne devrait normalement pas exister dans un hotel 5*. Les tarifs des consommations au bar de la piscine sont des prix parisiens : 7€ pour une corona!

Les erreurs du personnels. Lapiscine c est nulle et la chambre. J ete decu.

La qualité de l'hotel est surfaite, finition locale, très mauvaise insonorisation (il y a une discothèque à côté et nous n'avons pas dormi la nuit du vendredi). Le personnel d'acceuil peut se montrer arrogant vis-à-vis d'une famille et préfère sans doute les hommes d'affaires. Il y a des lacunes dans le service quand on sait ce qu'un hotel de ce standing doit normallement pouvoir prester, comme par exemple il n'est pas normal de devoir emporter son essuie et peignoir de la chambre pour aller au spa. Le prix est élevé pour un hotel au Maroc, et le prix du petit déjeuner est également surfait

la amabilidad del personal y el ambiente del hotel. muy bien situado fuera de la medina y el spa es maravilloso.

el desayuno no es de categoria cinco estrellas, muy monotono y aunque bien algo escaso. Las habitaciones no estan muy bien insonorizadas.
