Everything was perfect: good location for rest, close to the beach, friendly staff, all areas very clean, best hotel's food so far - varied and themed dinners
Lovely room, great pools, very close to beach
Great location, nice food! Good size room and nice pool. Always sun loungers available by the pool.
Staff were friendly enough, but did the bare minimum. Pool shack for sports equipment shut for 3 hours mid day. Annoyed that I was all inclusive, but had to pay for a safe and all international alcohol. Wifi was poor and only in lobby.
+ buffets + pool and beach facilities + helpful and friendly staff
- long queues in the reception - beds not robust enough - no Wifi in rooms
Great hotel best staff very friendly entertainment staff are briilant they are great with kids and adults also hotel is right on beach
One thing they should change is the opening hrs of the bar it closes at 12pm one more hr or two would be better
Champagne almost every day for the clients.
There was no one double bed. As a couple we had to sleep on two beds.
All very good best breakfast so far
Good facilities, nice beach location, good food selection for all inc, good size room,
Room a little bit tired,no mini-bar as stated in hotel description
The food was second to none with most of it being prepared in front of you. The displays were fabulous and the only downside to that is you want to eat more. The head chefs were always there and even offered to make us a packed lunch for our journey back. The restaurant staff were so helpful and always happy to serve you. The manager Mr Moez was very professional and helped us get a lovely room as we were not happy with the one we were presented with at first. We even had little treats sent up to our room nearly every day. Cleanliness of the hotel is of very high standard and towels changed every day. All the entertainment staff were very pleasant and had a fun time joining in the activities. The service at the pool bar was very good and toilets very clean.
Was told there was an ATM in hotel but in fact it is a bureau de change and we had to go to the neighbouring hotel as we had prepaid cards. Service at bar was bit slow and waiter service was almost non existent so ended up having to get our own drinks, not too used to that.
The animation good , food not bad .
Very bad bed , very hard to sleep comfortable
Room size is good.
Overall, we thought our stay there was poor value given where we are now, Le Medina Essaouira. We paid ~ 280 Euros for two nights including breakfast. It took us until 1535 to get our room. Our room overlooked a toilet block at the side of the hotel. If we wanted a sea view that's 30 Euro extra per night. The sea is a long way from the hotel. There is no WiFi in the room, only in reception. The hotel is very tired. Staff are unhelpful. Breakfast is terrible for the money. Not a 4* hotel. Let me say a word about Agadir. What a dump ! It consists of a beach that for two days was under a dark cloud-like mist. You couldn't see into the distance and it was depressing. We spoke to staff in local restaurants and they said you get a max of 2 or 3 hours of sunshine later in the afternoon during the summer period. We didn't see any. Contrast Essaouira. For 280 Euro we have 3 nights in 5* El Medina Essaouira - without breakast. Key points :- Modern Clean, with a room with a superb sea view. Internet access by cable or WiFi Superb comfortable, lux bed and sheets. Free water ever day. Free parking. Close to the old town. Just a nice room, nice hotel and a great place to be. Sun everyday we've been here. Forget Agadir, come here. Working fishing port, great old town, good restaurants, not a lot of pestering. Seems cheaper than elsewhere. We're now happy !
AC didn't work Patio door would not lock so could not secure our room Wanted to charge to use the room safe even though patio door would lock Check in took forever Waiter on the terrace was rude The room was very basic for £165 per night The corridor stunk of fat from the kitchen The disco was very loud and as there was no sound insulation was v noisy in our room. What more can I say. We stayed in great hotels in Morocco for €50 per night and to pay €200 for this was outrageous.
Location Pool Beach Senior managers seem keen to run everything properly
Customer service Exchange rate used vs euro is too high Employees in the restaurant & bars are extremely rude and impolite, some of them curse in Arabic assuming that foreigners do not speak Arabic
the beach was nice. I was travelling with a group of friends (women) and we felt comfortable on the beach as it was roped off from creepy Moroccan men. The A La Carte restaurant was delicious but we tried to make a reservation the day we got there and they were all full. We had to beg the manager to let us dine there and he relectantly did made us a reservation for later in the evening. We could not get in for the rest of the trip. The hotel is quite beautiful looking in from the beach. It is also right on the beach which was a plus. There were A LOT of children though and the music was bumping all day by the pool.
The food was horrible in the buffet. There were a million people - not very relaxing the decor is average... pretty cheesy. Not very Moroccan at all with the exception of a few lanterns in the lobby. The spa was the worst spa experience I have ever had in my entire life. It was extremely un-hygenic. I booked for a hammam scrub/massage and a manicure/pedicure. The hammam was a regular hamman (I live in Morocco and go to them all the time). Nice and hot with mats you could sit on. When I came out of the hammam, the spa attendant handed me a bottle of water. I took a few sips and then she asked for it back as if she was going to take my robe and bottle of water into the other room for my scrub treatment. Instead, she proceeded to take off the lid and chug the rest of the bottle right in front of me! The scrub was decent but again a little yucky. The lady asked me to lie down on the bed without even washing off the previous woman's dead skin. The scrub was nice but the door was open the whole time which made me feel uncomfortable since it was a co-ed hammam. I was then led to a room for my massage and was told to get into a luke-warm bath and left there. After about 15 minutes I got out and was going to leave the spa as I felt it wasn't worth my time. The attendants ran after me and dragged me back into the spa by the arm. I was told to lie down on the very hard massage bed and then I waited, naked, on this bed with no towel for 15 minutes with my door open and people yelling at each other in arabic in the hallway outside. The massage was the best part but nothing to write home about. After the manicure pedicure I had to go back to the room and re-file and paint my nails. My nails were all jagged and now I have hang nails... it was a waste of money.
Clean hotel. Good kitchen. Nice location.
Poor animation (for adults): very few sports and half of the time, the animation didn't even show up. No waterpolo (is only for kids!),...
Fantastic position in front of the sea, excellent all inclusive, very accurate details, ideal for a relaxable vacation.
The beach and friendly staff
Basic facilities and low quality hot food
Best location on the beach. A lot of fun for the kids. Good food. Friendly staff. We have loved it very much.and looking forward to go there again.
The staff at the beach bar are not nice to the guests.
Outstanding customer care. Great attention to detail.
Evening entertainment wasn't great and the gym was not well equipt.
The room could be a bit cleaner... and the food is quite poor...
the views, food, very relaxing throughout the day. walks down the beach.
evening entertainment was very poor. would of been better if there was bingo nights, comedians, and possible belly dancers to liven up the night..the shows seemed to be the same through out our 5 night stay.
Severely overpriced if you don't have all inclusive. The beds are horrible.
I planed to stay 5 days only but then I did extend it to 10 days.it is a great place to have great time
It was perfect
Fantastic supervision by a roving Director of the Iberostar chain who was constantly checking on all staff and all that was going on generally in the hotel. Two excellent reception staff (several others not so good) who were super helpful plus excellent baggagiste who should be doing more than he currently does. Charming maids who clean the rooms dry well with sweet bed decorations. Good variety of food, fresh salads etc Quite a high percentage of returning guests and the location of the hotel on the beach was really nice. Would go back but just for location weather and the sea. Not of Agadir itself which is pretty ugly. Very easy to drive to Marrakech as relatively new Autoroute taking 2.5 hours. Watch out for radar though!t Hilary, London
Other than the help I received from the baggagiste the day trips /excursions etc were only 'sold' to you by agents with no other view than making commission. There was no general information person to give you any help or impartial advice which was a pity. For example a trip with my twin boys and another family (despite the fact I speak good French) was a complete mess although we ended up having great fun as the number of buggies and quads was completely wrong. Just a simple desk with a helpful person who could advise on local amenities, things to do without actually selling the product would have made a vast difference and saved so much time. Entertainment was enthusiastic but very basic quality. Returning guests also mentioned there previously had been someone who circulated and asked guest how they were doing and perhaps answered questions on trips etc too and they all said they missed that extra small service.
