We liked the hotel, especially the swimming pool. We had a very big room, with a very large bed (family bed) and balcony. The bathroom was big too. Staff were friendly but only the receptionists.
The food was bad! They had some good pastries, but the rest was disgusting. The room wasn't cleaned properly and every day. It was very noisy all night, from the street traffic.
Staff very friendly, clean large rooms We had a great time, the staff where really friendly and the food was good. We had a large room with a fridge and the staff had left cold water bottle and sweets in the room when we arrived. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends Will be booking for next year soon.
staff weren't friendly. we had a lot of problems with our room (aircon, fridge and wifi didn't work) had to stay that night as was fully booked. next day offered room change (nothing to compensate for poor night the night before). came back to different room, without a fridge and the TV was broken. after being offered to change rooms again (back to first room), staff ended up swapping TV and after fixing it to the wall, threw the remote control on the bed as though we had bothered him, like it was our fault the rooms were faulty. terrible service, wouldn't recommend.
It so bad first day hot water and no fridge in the room and second day no water. I have stayed at this hotel before 3 years ago. I do not recommend anyone to stay here.
Everything old and dirty. Even the towels are grey white been washed so many times.
Large rooms with air conditioning. Friendly staff.
Pool was smaller than appeared in photo and inadequate for the size of the hotel.
Service was bad. The staff were useless. And just stood there. We had no towels. No wifi. And not even any lightbulbs in the lamp. And the balcony was flooded. With aircon water. We asked to change rooms. That didnt even happen. We had no remote for the tv which was stupid. Hotel had a bad odour overall. Carpets rundown. The hotel. Its self needs a revamp. I do not recommend this hotel
Rooftop pool is worth the stay alone. Excellent views!! Rooms are of a high standard.
The location is too far out. Easily a 30 min walk to the medina, and 20 mins to guilez. A taxi is a better option however the cost does mount up if you like to explore.
Very friendly English speaking staff, great pool, evening meal excellent and great pastries. The rooms were large and spotless, and location was good. UK TV/film channel, and free wifi.
Breakfast - not much choice, good for continental, but cooked choice was poor and had wasn't cooked fresh, and coffee cold, and lots of salad? Also, cups and plates were dirty. Dining room very old, furniture needs renewing.
Cleanliness of rooms and facilities
The check in staff were not very friendly or helpful we had to wait over half an hour to get checked in. The lifts in the hotel need looking at and updating
The service was really slow. We got our towels in the evening which is really annoying because we want to take a bath before heading out after check in. Also the remote control for our tv was provided only on our second night when we requested for it the day before. And to top it off when we get to our rooms after check in the staff are still making the beds and doing their cleaning.
Nite staff attitude specaily short old guy with glasses on
The staff and their willingness to help in any situation. They were friendly and made me feel at home. Nadia, who organises tours and provides information found me a 'chauffeur' to take me to see some of the city. He was also able to find a camera shop for a part that I needed - a task that would have been impossible by myself. Breakfasts were excellent and provided a wide choice for people from diverse cultures. Service in the dining room was excellent. Wi-fi was available in my room and was free.
1) Locking myself in the bathroom the first hour! There was something wrong with the lock mechanism on the door and no-one responded to my frantic calls for help. After some strenuous effort I managed to disengage the locking mechanism and get out. After that I left a bathmat in the doorway to my bathroom and didn't close the door. I reported the problem but there was no sign that anyone had checked the door lock. 2) One of the two elevators was often not working and when it was working, it sometimes took 3 or more presses on the required floor button to close the door and to 'go'. 3) All towels reeked of cigarette smoke. 4) The beauty salon is poorly appointed. For example, there is no table for the manicurist to work on. She filed my nails and applied nail varnish while I held my hand in the air unsupported. There was very poor light in the area where makeup was done. The chair I sat on had to be put against a wall to stop it from 'reclining'. 5) The other concern I had was that dining room staff told me that breakfasts were not included in the total account. When I asked at reception to have this clarified, they also said that breakfasts were not included. As a result I emailed booking.com and received a prompt and effective reply. I am fairly certain that the final account reflected the inclusion of breakfasts. However the account is not absolutely clear to me. I speak good French and had no trouble communicating with the staff.
