Located in Marrakech, Riad Samarine is in the centre of the old Medina and a 6-minute walk from the Ben Youssef Madrasa. The property offers free Wi-Fi, a rooftop terrace and a lounge with a...
Score from 171 reviews Wonderful
This Riad is situated in the ancient quarter of Bab Doukkala, 15 minutes away from the famous Jamàa El Fnaa square, away from the hustle of the heart of Marrakesh.
Score from 123 reviews Very good
The location cant be beaten. Its so central, and easy to find in a city where much of the accommodation is hard to locate and difficult to get to. The breakfasts are terrific...plenty of choice with fresh orange juice , omelettes and yoghurt available on request. Staff are helpful and friendly. Every year the facilities get better. Great value for money.
Good location and the staff where nice
I selected for late checkout on booking.com which they confirmed with the hotel that it will be fine for checkout at 3pm. The day before checkout they tell me at the counter we cant have late checkout and that booking.com told me fibs!!
Location wise, it is perfect. Staff were great, cleanliness great also. Few minutes walk to the main square. Good breakfast
Water was not always warm, corridors rather dim. Not great food places nearby
i LIKED THE LOCATION OF HOTEL
NO WI FI IN THE ROOMS
We have been returning to the Islane for about 5 years and in that time the facilities have improved greatly. The rooms have been newly decorated and are much brighter. The Breakfasts are terrific, much better than a very expensive riad we visited in Marrakech and the staff are delightful. Taxis can find the hotel easily and the hotel will pre book a taxi for you for the airport or bus station. The situation is less than 5 minutes walk to Jemma El Fna, and opposite the Koutoubia mosque and in the winter you can see the Atlas mountains from the breakfast terrace. Evening meals are excellent and well priced
Nothing....we even got the room we requested !
the location is excellent and the staff are amazing and always helpful
the lightning in the hotel is very dim. Breakfast could definitely be improved and there is no lift in the hotel, so if you are disabled or have problems climbing stairs then it would be a problem
Location near to town shops bus station etc
No swiming pool and work was going on in reception and dosnt have a lift
Location - easy access by taxi; easy access to main square and souks
Aircon not good (in room 222); whole place a bit tired; staff not overly helpful (had to ask twice for toilet paper); cats wandering in the hotel.
Were not told that breakfast was included in our booking. Rooms look tired and worn.
Staff is very friendly, location is great, just next to the Medina, restaurant
Rooms are not so good and old.
reception staff, location
tired rooms. poor breakfast , rubbish coffee for guests , proper coffee for cleaning staff. asked nicely but was told we would have to pay for the proper stuff!!
Reception were extremely helpful and the hotel was pleasant. We were only a short walk from the main square (about 5 mins) and just opposite the mosque. Great location.
You're really in the hustle and bustle, so if you're staying at more than one hotel - take this one first and something more chilled for the remainder. The bathrooms were a little tired, but generally clean and comfortable.
Great location very convenient to the main square but just far enough away from all the craziness. Just outside the medina, so it's possible, even easy, to find it. Room was unspectacular but comfortable. Staff was helpful and capable. Pretty good restaurant.
Noise from the restaurant at night could be heard in my room on the opposite side of the building. Note -- the hotel's page on Booking.com explicitly said credit cards were accepted. They are not. That can obviously be quite problematic when one relies on that information when payment time comes around. (As an aside, I pointed this out to Booking.com -- they contacted the hotel and were told all credit cards except American Express are accepted. That was not my experience.)
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel lobby and restaurant area look very nice. Great location, 2 minute walk to Djemaa El Fna square and literally opposite Koutoubia Mosque.
Room needs makeover. Seemed neglected, outdated. The lights were very dim in the room. gain Shower room needs makeover, appeared d and neglected. It appears they have spent all the money on the lobby area and upstairs restaurant. Rooms need some updating and DLC. Rooms were tidied every day, bed was made however, floors were not sweeped and bathroom floor not cleaned either. Breakfast was very basic and not of good standard. I got better quality breakfast from local cafe just around the corner for cheaper.
The service was really amazing for a three star hotel. The people that worked there responded to your needs as soon as possible. The hotel was walking distance from all major attractions. Cannot complain.
Good breakfast. Reception arranged an airport taxi for me. Great location for the main sites of the old town.
Hot water wasn't always available.
The location of the hotel
The hotel was dirty Had to move room Very cold
The hotel is near to fana square near to quoteba mosque 1 min . Good price
Bathroom Noisy inside the hotel
the location it was really good
the bathroom was really dirty, didn't seem that they clean it
The price of the hotel and its location was just perfect. Everything is close by, especially the big fena square. We loved the waiter in the restaurant on the roof of the hotel and the food was really good as well.
Zero cleanliness. The room was horrible and it feels like we've been living in a pond.
The reception team are very kind. The location is excellent.
The room was old an not very comfortable.
Location, air condition, WiFi, open roof terrace
Bathroom looks very poor, breakfast
