It's a lovely place to use like headquarters visiting the charming city of Fez. You can spend a lot of time inside, having some drinks, talking with travelers or hotel staff. Clean and tidy rooms and an amazing roof with an panoramic view of Fez-El-Bali medina
The location was great. It's right beside the Blue Door of the Medina and We parked our car just in front of the door for 20 dirhams/night. (You have to pay the gardiens to "take care" of your car). Omar, Joseph and "the breakfast guy" were the best thing in this hotel. They have a great terrace too.
We don't even know were to Start... First of all, the reception was a disaster. It took forever to Make the Check In, they were not helpfull at All and charge you 30 dirhams for a map of the city (we bought it in a store for 20). There were no toiletries (bath towels, toilet paper...), we ask for them and we only had them the morning after at the breakfast. The room was big (it was one of the main suites) but dirty and very dark (almost spooky...). There was an explosion in the electricity system and the Hotel was completely in the dark till the next afternoon!... The breakfast took 30 minutes to be served because the hotel was very crowded. It's a medium breakfast. Nothing special. Unfortunately was not a good experience at all...
Very friedly hosts!
Beautiful interiors, nice large Terrace with big views. Staff always helpful and speak English. Nice size room. Perfect location for visiting the Medina. Breakfast was above average in amount and quality. Great to have coffee in comfortable chair and connect on wifi.
Bathroom clean - but a bit small.
My mother, friends and I have had the best moroccan experience in this hotel. It is very close to the Medina and staff were solicitous and very nice. The room and bathroom was very clean and the roof view is great! The people there were the most remarcable experience, they were very nice and very friendly. I strongly recommend this hotel in Fes.
Great roof terrace with good views, also lovely original moroccan features similar to many Riads.
Small room and poor bathroom, but at least it was en-suite. Only what you might expect for a low cost hotel, but worth putting up with for the nice roof terrace and convenient location!
Hammid and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The decor has a feel of opulence.
WiFi connection was difficult, sometimes non-existant, and very slow.
Rooftop views were amazing: desert on the right, mountains on the front, mosques at the left. Location was excellent, as there was a reggae/jazz music festival not far from the hotel and it was close to the Blue Wall; Staff and managers were very friendly, helpful and cooperative. They made their best effort to help us plan our trip to Chefchaouen; They walked us to the nearby restaurants and the inhouse chef was humurous and helped us carve a Honeydew melon; Breakfast-inclusive hotel! Met some pretty cool people, including a musician/sound engineer
Breakfast was great, but could have a few more items!
This is a good starting point because it is easy to find. Nicely restored. Bathrooms a little small, but it's not like you're buying it as a condo, eh? The people who work there try very hard, and the tall guy who works the kitchen and does a lot more than that needs a raise. I'd say go see a room and ask for a price. The roof top is very nice too!
Communication a bit difficult at times beacause we speak very little French. Download googles Arabic translator
The staff is wonderful - they offered me breakfast far later than was fair of me to ask. Wonderful location - taxis outside door easy to get - unlike deep in the medina where it can be hard to move in and out. Would def stay her again for a couple nights.
The bed was only ok. Fine for a few nights. But I am picky about beds.
Stuff was really nice especially Hamid and his American friend, they are really helpful and friendly!!! Breakfast was perfect! Great location and room! If you want to go to Fez, this the best place!
Lovely riad with friendly staff. Good location to explore Fes. Would recommend.
great location,kind staff,average breakfast
bathroom did not have a shower cabin, just flor of bathroom and it was wet after the shower and you have to go over water on the toilet
Good location near the Medina but not in it. Excellent roof terrace with a fine view over the city and various areas to sit, use wifi or sunbathe.
Small bedroom with poor lighting. Shower/loo is tiny and the floor stays wet for ages once you have a shower. Most rooms have only internal windows, so light and noise from the central hallway can be annoying. Poor TV. Poor, very slow, service at breakfast. Hard mattress.
The spirit of hotel is just unbelievable. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The personal is really nice and if you need something, they will gladly help you (they took us to Hammam - turkish spa, or they teached us how to cook their local food). If you are staying there for more then two nights it worth trying their trip to the Atlas mountains.
Great location. Owner and his son are very nice. They were very helpful & accommodating. Good value for the money. The terrace is beautiful with excellent views of Fez. The building itself is gorgeous.
The reports of sewer smells are true... Our first room had a terrible smell coming from the bathroom, but they were happy to move us to another room which was much better. It seems that they are having problems in only one part of the building, and they are working to fix it. But, it's part of being in Morocco sometimes... Smells are just part of the experience :) also a bit loud at times.
at thje beginning of the medina easily accessible great breakfast quiet despite its location
the washroom the size of a closet limited tv time and the beds
I had an English speaking personal guide!!!
Mohamed went out of his way to make me feel happy and comfortable. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the Blue Gate, which is a starting point for entry into the medina.
I wanted to cancel the rest of my stay after one night and was told that i would have to pay for all 4 nights. I was convinced to stay by Mohamed [definitely not Hamid who was totally indifferent to my situation] and once we got over that initial problem by changing rooms, everything was fine.
excellent location. Nice rooftop area. Authentic Moroccan riad, good atmosphere.
Room very cramped by extra single bed, making access to double bed difficult. Bathroom very tiny with shower over the toilet.
Typical Moroccan accommodation. Location excellent. Terrace with beautiful view.
The bathroom, too small and not always warm water. Long time waiting for breakfast.
Tourist trap! Smelly small Roms and a soulsucking housemanager who rips guests off. Dont book.
Great location, good breakfast of bread, jam, juice and tea/coffee included, and the owner was very friendly and helpful with a last-minute cancellation.
I liked the location of the hotel. Very close to the Fes Medina. The management, Mohamed and Hamid were fantastic in making us feel at home, especially Mohamed. I greatly enjoyed the evening of Moroccan spiritual music, even though I did not partake in the dancing. When our rooms were not made one day, Mohamed upgraded us to different rooms and a suite for my wife and I.
Weak water pressure.
Location is great just a few blocks from Bab bou jeloud entrance. It has a nice terrace and breakfast comparing with other places in Morocco is ok!
Internet is difficult to catch in the room if you are in the first floor. They offer you many things to do but there will be overpriced. Bathroom and shower are not so good.
