Rooftop views were amazing: desert on the right, mountains on the front, mosques at the left. Location was excellent, as there was a reggae/jazz music festival not far from the hotel and it was close to the Blue Wall; Staff and managers were very friendly, helpful and cooperative. They made their best effort to help us plan our trip to Chefchaouen; They walked us to the nearby restaurants and the inhouse chef was humurous and helped us carve a Honeydew melon; Breakfast-inclusive hotel! Met some pretty cool people, including a musician/sound engineer

Breakfast was great, but could have a few more items!

This is a good starting point because it is easy to find. Nicely restored. Bathrooms a little small, but it's not like you're buying it as a condo, eh? The people who work there try very hard, and the tall guy who works the kitchen and does a lot more than that needs a raise. I'd say go see a room and ask for a price. The roof top is very nice too!

Communication a bit difficult at times beacause we speak very little French. Download googles Arabic translator

The staff is wonderful - they offered me breakfast far later than was fair of me to ask. Wonderful location - taxis outside door easy to get - unlike deep in the medina where it can be hard to move in and out. Would def stay her again for a couple nights.

The bed was only ok. Fine for a few nights. But I am picky about beds.

Good location near the Medina but not in it. Excellent roof terrace with a fine view over the city and various areas to sit, use wifi or sunbathe.

Small bedroom with poor lighting. Shower/loo is tiny and the floor stays wet for ages once you have a shower. Most rooms have only internal windows, so light and noise from the central hallway can be annoying. Poor TV. Poor, very slow, service at breakfast. Hard mattress.

The spirit of hotel is just unbelievable. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The personal is really nice and if you need something, they will gladly help you (they took us to Hammam - turkish spa, or they teached us how to cook their local food). If you are staying there for more then two nights it worth trying their trip to the Atlas mountains.

Great location. Owner and his son are very nice. They were very helpful & accommodating. Good value for the money. The terrace is beautiful with excellent views of Fez. The building itself is gorgeous.

The reports of sewer smells are true... Our first room had a terrible smell coming from the bathroom, but they were happy to move us to another room which was much better. It seems that they are having problems in only one part of the building, and they are working to fix it. But, it's part of being in Morocco sometimes... Smells are just part of the experience :) also a bit loud at times.

Mohamed went out of his way to make me feel happy and comfortable. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the Blue Gate, which is a starting point for entry into the medina.

I wanted to cancel the rest of my stay after one night and was told that i would have to pay for all 4 nights. I was convinced to stay by Mohamed [definitely not Hamid who was totally indifferent to my situation] and once we got over that initial problem by changing rooms, everything was fine.

excellent location. Nice rooftop area. Authentic Moroccan riad, good atmosphere.

Room very cramped by extra single bed, making access to double bed difficult. Bathroom very tiny with shower over the toilet.

Typical Moroccan accommodation. Location excellent. Terrace with beautiful view.

The bathroom, too small and not always warm water. Long time waiting for breakfast.

I liked the location of the hotel. Very close to the Fes Medina. The management, Mohamed and Hamid were fantastic in making us feel at home, especially Mohamed. I greatly enjoyed the evening of Moroccan spiritual music, even though I did not partake in the dancing. When our rooms were not made one day, Mohamed upgraded us to different rooms and a suite for my wife and I.

    Weak water pressure.

Location is great just a few blocks from Bab bou jeloud entrance. It has a nice terrace and breakfast comparing with other places in Morocco is ok!

Internet is difficult to catch in the room if you are in the first floor. They offer you many things to do but there will be overpriced. Bathroom and shower are not so good.

The location of the hotel is perfect, next to Bab Boujloud and the medina. The decoration and architecture is beautiful, moroccan style, and the staff is nice, specially the man in the dining room. The room we stayed in was confortable enough, with a window, tv and air conditioning (although both stopped working constantly for no apparent reason). Breakfast was delicious, with various kinds of moroccan breads, butter, marmelade, fresh orange juice and mint tea. We recommend the hotel.

The tv and air conditioning stopped working at least one time every day, and we had to go down to the reception, and they'd turn on a switch and in began working again. We had an awkward situation happend, because the manager told us he'd call a taxi for us, and that we could give the money to him, and he'd give it to the taxi driver "so we wouldn't have to pay more". Well the next day the taxi picked us up, drove us, and we found out the man had not only not payed him, but hadn't told him he already had the money. Apparently it has happened before, because when we told him we had already payed, he described us the manager, and told us not to worry, but still it was a strange situation. And as another person said before, he was a little resistent to give us the change when we paid.... But I definetly recommend the hotel, beautiful on the inside and great location!
