Near to the centre, clean room and bathroom, nice decoration, beautiful terrace with amazing view of the mountains, delicious and huge breakfast. We booked an excursion to the desert with them and it was great, even better than what we expected. All the personal was very kind and polite, and they make us feel like at home! Thanks Hamid!!
Organised good camel trek and overnight stay in desert at very reasonable price.
Poor quality bathroom with shower curtain instead of door
* very friendly hotel hosts Hamid & Samir * fantastic place in the middle of the little streets of Zagora (if you like traditional stays, this will definitely fit you best) * trip to the desert was such a recommended item! We went for one night, but got the opportunity to do everything we'd like (including visiting the highest dune of Chegaga, watching sunset, camelride during sunrise, ...) *and last but not least: Brahim , the best oriented desert driver I've ever met! ;-)
Mohammed the owner is a really nice guy,who will help you with all your questions and a cooks great traditional food...and much of it He can organize desert tours for you in all variations where you do not need any supply (he will prepare enough food and tea ;) )
It was one of the best places we have visited. Everyone were so helpful and friendly that it felt like you know them for years. They have arranged very nice trip to the nearby dunes and prepared everything for us to stay there for the night. We had wonderful time, very good food (big portions), music and storytelling. After coming back from the dunes we had to wait whole day for our bus so guys organised us something to do. We prepared meal with their cook and learned a lot of their cuisine. Superb!
EXCELLENT! It's close to the city center and the best of all is the stuff: very nice and helpful. Besides, they offer trips to the desert for a good price :)
I felt like i was in my home. Polite stuf, great hospitality
Karim who runs the place and the rest of the staff are very easygoing and make their best to make you feel relaxed. Excellent atmosphere.
Hosts were super-awesome. Very nice experience. They make you feel at home, very welcoming and accomodating! Highly recommended!
We had a short but very pleasant stay here! The room was small but equipped with every necessity and very clean! The rooftop terrace was very neat to spent the evenings on and to listen to some local musicians who were invited! The personal was very helpful in organizing a short trip to the desert and made the night worthwhile with some traditional Berber music and some good talks! We would highly recommend the Karim Sahara to everyone looking for a good time for a fair price! Marcus & Rike
I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone going through the area. My friend and I travelled to Zagora looking to spend a night in the desert, as well as spending some time in the town. We arrived by bus to find someone at the bus stop waiting to take us to the guesthouse, which was a lovely surprise as we had not previously arranged it. On arrival our hosts, Hamid and Samir, presented us with tea on the terrace, which was very welcome after a day of travelling! We invited them to play cards with us as we discussed what we were aiming to get from our time in Zagora. Our trek needed to be on a budget as we are students, and after explaining this to Hamid, he and Samir helped us build a package specifically for what we could afford so we booked with them. Both the night in the guesthouse and the desert were time and money well spent, and the hosts were great company. It was lovely to learn a little about Berber life, as Hamid himself is from a Berner family. Sahit Hamid and Samir!
The staff is the best! They are kind and lovely, they can help you to find you like in your home. The position is very good, the welcome fantastic with a mint tea in the terrace. I never stay so good in a hotel abroad!
Best place in our whole Morocco trip. If you want to see what is real Moroccan hospitality and experience Zagora desert go to Karim's place. Karim and his brother Samir are absolutely amazing. You need to go to their bivouac in the desert nearby
Everything was working and we had no problems. There is a nice roof-terrace, it is located in the city and the keeper is quite reliable.
This was a wonderful, unforgetable experience - all due to the exceptionablly, friendly, funny host (see Photo - right). We were alone (late season in Dec.) but still Shahim greeted us with tea and nibbles on the roof top terrace. In the evening, he cooked a wonderful meal for us(compliments to the Chef - Sahim) and afterwards, entertained us for over 2 hrs! Great fun! In the morning we had a fantastic breakfast, served on the roof top - compliments - and afterwards we all went for a ride in the car. We were shown the tents at "the gate of the Sahara". Here it is possible to stay the night in top quality, beautiful tents. I would definately recommend such an overnight tour. Guests can feel safe, comfortable (beds are not hard) and well looked after. So, if you are prepared to stay in a budget hotel, this place has alot of good will to offer! We would like to thank our host from the heart, for the wonderful experience!
The beds were hard.
