Situated in the open Sahara desert, Auberge De Charme Les Dunes D´Or is a large traditional Kasbah. Inside its majestic walls lie beautiful courtyards and an outdoor swimming pool.
Score from 155 reviews Excellent
Best location for desert visit. Kasbah has good rooms with a nice pool with great views. Camel tour can be organized by Kasbah. Spending a night in the desert is a must!
Swimming pool. Staff.
the desert in summer is too hot...
Excellent hotel, very friendly and hospitable staff.
we enjoyed everything! it was a trip of a life time!!
Very clean nicley decorated the food and the service was excellent Small hotel(10 rooms) with a great service you fill as private hotel.
What to say...our staying in Kasbah Azalay was fantastic! The perfect gift after a long trip from Marrakech. Youssef and Omar are just friendly, and their hospitality is wonderful. They really take care of their customers. The pool was clean and our room just BIG and perfect, with hot water. They organise various activities; we recommend to spend a night in the desert. Unforgettable experience. Thanks a lot also to Mohammed and his collegue. (and to Assou as well)
Great location with spectacular view on the desert. Beautiful hotel with most friendly staff.
Perfect location next to the dessert. Very friendly personnel!
The place is literally on the doorstep of Sahara (Erg Chebbi). Staff is incredibly helpful, meals were delicious and room nice & tidy.
It's fine. Food is good. Service very friendly!
Driving on the dirt road to get there
Excellent location with its feet in the dunes. Very friendly and accommodating staff who went out of their way to make sure their guests enjoy their desert experience. Good value for money Good food.
We were a bit unlucky in that we were given the only room on the roof ( sort of penthouse ) which accumulated heat throughout the day and didn't have a through draft at night to cool it off ( we could have out the air conditioning on but we don't like it so can't rate the Kasbah down for this )
wonderful and fabulous place, friendly, approachable and helpful people
Beautiful rooms and pool area, such a serene, peaceful place in the middle of the desert. And the most welcoming, accommodating hosts.
A gem in the desert!! The Kasbah is beautiful with fine decors and details. Meals and breakfast were very good. In addition, a fresh pool with a relaxing/sunbathing area where to spend few hours or all day. They organize 4X4 jeep tour (4 hrs), camel trip and also overnight stay in the desert, don't miss it!! (It's best to book it in advance as they can let up to 20 people) Youssef and the rest of the staff were very kind and made our stay unforgettable. Good value for money. I highly recommend!!
The best hotel we have been in Marocco. Great view direct on desert, amazing style/ decoration, very clean and nice staff. Strongly recommended to everybody.
We arrived at Merzouga early in the morning by Supraturs not knowing anything. We got recognized by our host immediately and transferred to the Kasbah. From then on they took care of us excellently. Absolutely nothing to complain about (food, pool, mint tea, night in the desert, ....). Paradise on Earth.
Everything! We felt at home and well take care of. The location is amazing facing the dunes and the atmosphere very relax. Youssef understand very well how to please tourists and their needs. Highly recommended by our family.
Very friendly staff. Good food for supper, nice breakfast. Helpful in organizing the camel tour through the dunes....
A bit difficult to find arriving in the dark and the piste to the Hotel being damaged. But it was Kind of adventurous fun....
Excellent experience overall...I highly recommend.
This establishment completely lives up to the hype. Youseff and the staff are wonderfully hospitable, the facilities are beautiful and clean, the location cannot be beaten, and the food was excellent. What separates the customer service from the rest is the attention paid to you throughout your stay. For instance, upon arrival, Youseff sat and had tea with us over a leisurely conversation.
The owners are great. We arrived with a few problems and Youssef and Mohammed did everything they could to help us out, not out of service but out of genuine berber hospitality. Great location and good food.
Nice staff Beautiful few
Absolutely everything. I am so going back there some day. It exceeded all our expectations. The hotel was spectacular. The camel ride was amazing. The desert was hauntingly beautiful.
Suggestion - put a pool cover on that pool! It was warm enough to swim, even in late Feb, but the water was just too cold. A cover would also keep the sand out, although it was very clean. It's a dry hotel but ask brother Omar will take you to the only licensed place in town to buy wine and beer if needed.
Great location, great food, friendly and helpful staff (3 brothers from the area). The room I had was excellent and comfortable. I was driving and late, so they actually called me to see if I was OK! I had to sleep on the road, so they were waiting for me with an excellent breakfast. The food is particularly good here, I recommend the Berber omelette. It really is 3 minutes walk from the dunes...
Probably a place with this many visitors should accept credit cards, as the nearest ATM is a long drive (including off-road) away. For that matter your listing should state it is off-road, although I had no problem getting there slowly in my rental car.
Should try to incorporate a bar service
