Great accomodation with fireplace in your own bedroom and a nice swimming pool.
Food wasn't great
The room was big and clean. The place is very peaceful surrounded by mountains and olive trees. I liked lying down by the pool relaxing. The staff is very helpful and very available.
The setting was amazing - a little oasis of calm. Great to see local people there too. The staff were very friendly, but unobtrusive. The days went far too quickly.
Beautiful setting, best place in Ouirgane.
Breakfast (plus service) leaves a lot of room for improvement.
Our room was a little out of the way
The heating of the room was slow.
We loved the staff, natural surroundings, great breakfasts and low key feel to Ksar Shama. Reception staff spoke great french and english making it easy to get suggestions of local places to visit, places to eat etc from them. We were there at a quiet late sprint time of year and really enjoyed the space and decor of the junior suite. Great value all round.
Didn't fancy spa treatments there as didn't feel like great value for the surroundings. Staff sometimes must smoke near to the dining room so smelt a little of cigarette smoke on occasions but the surroundings were extremely clean so this feels like a cultural thing more than a moan. Really hard to find anything not to like.
the set up of the resort is amazing beautiful peace in the nature.
i didn't like the prices for food, it is expensive compered to all morocco restaurants.
No words can do justice to the magic of the Atlas mountains...took my breath away. And Ksar Shama is the perfect place to stay because it's low-key, cosy, friendly and one of the best-value places I have ever stayed at. When we left it felt like we were part of the family - even the chef kissed us goodbye! The staff is very friendly but not overbearing. The rooms are modelled on Berber mud houses and so aren't your luxury hotel type, but are well appointed and tastefully decorated. The hotel sits on an olive grove looking out to the snowy peaks in the village of Marigha - just beautiful.
The massage centre could do with a revamp and the quality of the massages needs to be improved. The food, which tastes great, mainly comprises of tagine (loved the chicken, olives and lemon one!), so could do with being a little more varied.
While it rained nearly the entire time of our stay, the location was perfect for rest and relaxation. Our room was large and the fireplace made our time in the room even more cozy. The staff was terrific and most helpful.
The credit card machine does not work - be prepared.
A small piece of paradise - we loved it here - the grounds were immaculate and so beautiful. We only stayed for a couple of nights so didn't really bother to explore any further afield - just enjoyed laying out in the sun and occasionally jumping in the pool. If you want a couple of days of secluded wonderfulness here is the place. Staff were really friendly and helpful as well. Loved it x
Excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful mountain location with great views. Good value for money. Would stay there again.
the staff and the location
I would praise Ksar Shama for the following: Excellent Staff. Delicious food. Breath taking View on the mountains. Amazing Atmosphere.
It's hard to find something to criticise but I would say that I found the spa prices slightly high.
beautiful retreat from the busy Marrakech city. Stayed for 2 nights and loved it..friendly staff, food excellent and cooked fresh every day, excellent local scenery and experience of Berber village lifestyle
We had a short stay, but our total impression was good, wery nice staf. Nice rooms and beds.
Surrounded by olive trees and beautiful mountains this place is a lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The staff were polite and welcoming from the moment we arrived.Absolutely loved the cozy room with its own little fireplace. As the weather was slightly chilly we could not take advantage of the outdoor facilities however can imagine in the summer it would be great.
The only downside to this place is, due to its location, there are limitations in terms of where to eat. The restaurant at Ksar Shama only had three dishes as a main course on the menu and none of them were vegetarian. Perhaps a few more options (and veggie friendly ones) would be appreciated.
