I found that the wifi internet wasn't possible to use in the rooms, but this qualifies (at most) as a minor annoyance, since everything about the Kasbah is meant to encourage people to unplug from their connected lives.
I did find the shower in my room could quickly change from a normal range to actual scalding temperature -- but perhaps this was a freak occurance.
From the warm, genuine reception by the owner to the clearly excellent level of the kitchen staff, every aspect of La Kasbah d'Ouzoud exceeded expectations. The setting and buildings are very nice indeed, and given the moderate prices the kasbah qualifies as a bona fide bargain.
I agree with Sharon's observation that everything is in French, mostly because the clientele is almost exclusively French. The owner, however, went out of the way to speak English with me and was genuinely excited about attracting more people from the English-speaking world.
My room was among the very best I encountered anywhere in Morocco, nicely balancing fancy amenities with more rustic touches that convey some welcome authenticity.
The owner and staff went above and beyond to help me. If I'm in the area again I will absolutely stay here.
