excellant atmosphere, efficient stuff.
This hotel is stunning. The ancient décor and building work is just mesmerizing. Every area is different. The staff were so helpful. We stayed in the Giraffe suite and it was amazing. There was a huge soaker tub which was a bonus. The spa was very nice as well. The views at the roof terrace made it all that much better. The restaurant was really expensive for dinner but the food was the best on the trip. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway. There were no kids staying at the hotel when we went.
Our room faced the restaurant and pool and it was very noisy when they set up for breakfast every day. They need to sound proof the room more.
Hotel decorations are good
Food quality is not to standard
- Great location - Stunning setting / decor
- Rooms cold despite air con - Shower flooding bath room - Restaurant food OK, but not special - Jacuzzi cold
Service, staff, rooms, facilities, location, food & restaurant.
The Riads were all uniquely themed and everyone of them exquisitely decorated. The roof terrace was a beautiful oasis from which to occasionally retreat from the hubbub of the Kasbah below and was a sun trap in the late autumn sun. The staff were friendly and attentive and worked hard to make our stay a pleasure .
Absolutely beautiful place to stay - a real oasis in the bustle of Marrakech. Staff were excellent, attentive, discreet, professional, and friendly. Our room was beautiful with every comfort considered. The furnishings, roof terrace, spa, food and service were all superb.
Nothing not to like
Highly recommend this hotel. We were greeted with the warmest welcome from Mohammed and Khalid. First, Moroccan tea, followed by a tea set with traditional pastries and a tour around the riad. The hotel also offer tajine cooking classes which was quite fun. You get to enjoy your own cooking afterwards. Make sure you book in advance! Staffs were all very attentive I must say from the day of our arrival at the reception to the last night of our stay at the restaurant. Although, Ghizlane isn't the friendliest but Khalid and Mohammed made up for it. The restaurant staffs were all very attentive as well. We tried the hammam spa treatment and massage there which was amazing. It is not like our typical spa treatments from any 5-stars hotel. We especially enjoyed the free use of the jacuzzi. It would have been perfect if the water was hotter. The wifi connection is really good as well. We walked to mostly all the tourist spots that we need to visit. The only place we had to take a taxi to was the Majorelle Garden. The hotel is very clean and tidy overall. Our room was always ready at the right time for us. Our sleep was also very comfortable with no noise distractions even in the midst of all the hustles and bustles in Marrakech. That's also one thing we love about this hotel. Once you step out of the hotel, it's all hustles and bustles, you feel like a true local. Then you step inside the hotel, there is a sense of peacefulness, a big contrast and a big surprise that puts a smile on your face. It wasn't the easiest hotel to find but it was manageable with some help from the locals.
Nothing to say !!!
The real maroccan feeling
-All -Hotel ambience, pool, room -Breakfast on the terrace -Dedicated and helpful front desk staff
Pure Morrocan right through. Stunning decor, lovely restaurant, efficient and charming staff, great location.
Loved the decor, really beautiful location
Didn't like being told after arriving I couldn't eat in the restaurant. Was like being in a church some of the time
Central Medina location and yet still quiet and great pool.
Layout and interior Location
You can't fault the beauty of the riad, absolutely gorgeously done and great location if you want a birds eye view of the Saadinan Tombs. Staff are wonderful and roof top terrace for dinner divine. Pool an absolute godsend at the end of a long day haggling in the souks!
Just lacking in "extras" a little, towels a bit grey and old, rooms (even suites) empty of "knick knacks" etc making it feel a bit bare, amenities (shampoo, conditioner etc) clearly refilled/reused between customers. No cool towels upon coming home from long hot day, difficulty getting change, cleaners start cleaning/banging/crashing at 7am. Hammam treatment wonderful, but massage and facials lacking in skill. All small, little things but combined made the stay that little less enjoyable.
wonderful facilities and staff
internet poor would have liked a kettle in the room
The atmosphere The décor The staff attention and service
Dim lighting in the room
A delightful place. The ambience was amazing. Every part of the hotel was a work of art decorated in the most beautiful traditional Moroccan decor. The rooms were lovely, large but very cosy. It's was an unforgettable experience.
The pool was cold. Could not swim
Personal service of the friendly staff
The location is wonderful. The riad is opulent and wonderful to look at. The rooms are amazing
My Mother and I were visiting Marrakech for 5 days and we stayed at La Sultana. This hotel was fabulous! Top notch 5 star service, incredible food, stunning riad! It comes highly highly recommended. -Artist/Designer from NYC
The staff and the restaurant are excellent
The Spa and the pool are disappointing
Gorgeous building friendly and helpful staff
Food is expensive
Beatifully done riyad, wonderful roof terrace, nice little courtyards. Very friendly staff.
the guide hotel suggested on the first day was not willing to share much information and he took us to his friends carpet sellers where we were pushed for over an hour to buy a carpet (not a several hundred dirhams item!) Also, one of the receptionist discouraged us from going to El Sadi Palace because it's only "ruins and stork nest place". I found it very interesting and magical with all the storks. Beautiful view of the city and the Atlas mountains from there as well.
