Score from 163 reviews Very good
The location is really good, inside the Medina, but in a quiet area, what is important to escape from the crowd of the square. I recommend to take the transfer from the airport to the hotel (although not cheap), because it is really easy to get lost in the Medina, but maybe with a GPS you can do it without problems. The room is spacious, with confortable bed. Staff is always trying to help, they offer the typical tea and cookies for the welcome, what makes us feel like at home. The hotel has still a terrace for enjoying the sun and offer jacuzzi and massages for a small fee. We really recommend it.
We visit during winter and the room was particular cold during the night. For sleeping it was ok, due the good sheets on the bed, but for just staying in the room, it was a bit too cold. Wifi was a bit unstable, but it worked from time to time. We felt safe in the hotel and this was not a problem during our sty, but there are no keys for the rooms, you can lock from inside; but when you leave the room, you have to leave the room open for the staff to clean and have to put values in a safe deposit box in the room or reception. Another option, is to lock the wardrobe and get the key, but if you want to put all your luggage inside, probably it won't fit.
Excelent staff. Really nice and cosy place.
You can feel the humidity in the whole Riad, I guess can be very good on summer.
Lovely place to stay, very nice staff and brekkie every morning. The staff helped us sort what to do for New Years eve.
Could not lock the room. Also had to ring a bell to get in main front door. One eve no one answered for about 15 minutes not too good 2 young girls having to wait down a dark alley way
The location. The cozyness of the place (4 rooms) The politeness of the staff
We had a hamman, but the room was not hot. Asked two times for a multiplug that I never got
Good quality service of Joudia & Aimad.
Noise of motos going thru derb el warda.
A lovely riad which I would recommend to everyone. The staff is very friendly and helpfull, the breakfeast is delicious and our room was good. It is only 10 minutes walking to the square. It is very quiet and peacefull, which is very nice in the middle of the medina. The dinner is also great, you should definitely try that one evening. And the transfer from and to the airport was very nice, otherwise we couldn't have found it.
The location was great, but impossible to find the first time. You really have to ask for a better map or to have them meeting you somewhere. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was good too, sweet, more of the French style, but having it on the terrace makes it a plus on any riad. The best thing was coming back from the Medina on very hot days and being able to refresh ourselves in the small pool. It's a plunging pool, no space to swim, almost like an ofuro, but good enough to cool down. The room was very clean with a super comfy bed and nice shower. AC didn't work that well, but it was ok. Wifi was spotty, which was annoying sometimes. Wonderful experience, totally recommended.
Staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Location, calm and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the square !
Room was a bit small for the extra bed
The staff are absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful. We wre welcomed with tea and Moroccan sweet pastries even though we didn't get in until 1am. The riad is very pretty and perfectly located a short walk from the main square. We were glad to be a bit removed from the hubbub of the souks and so location was perfect.
Breakfast was simple and repetitive but not really an issue.
A fantastic location within an easy walking distance to the main square.( without getting lost!) It was great to be met by the lovely French owners and their family. Mint tea and pastries were waiting for us on arrival. A very welcome sight! It was lovely to come back to the riad and be able to sit near the small plunge pool or go in if you wanted too. A reprieve from the hot sun! Ice and mint tea were available at all times. the rooms were lovely with plenty of room to spread out. The bathrooms were quaint as was the decor. The upstairs terrace was another nice area to sit especially in the cool of the evening. An oasis in the desert of sooks and markets!
The location was fantastic. Easy walk to the main square. Plenty of places nearby to eat. Nice touch with a welcoming cup of mint tea, water and an assortment of local patisseries. The rooms are large with extra sitting area. Putting your feet into the plunge pool was a great way to cool your body down. Don't miss going up to the terrace - great place to relax after walking around all day. Lovely owners and staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff: free tea service a welcome plus.
It would be nice to have free water as well as tea. Location (deep inside the old medina) is atmospheric but a bit strenuous as a base for exploration and a bit hard to find at first.
Really friendly staff and made us free very welcome- looking forward to going back
Lovely Riad, clean, friendly unobtrusive staff, good breakfast, central location ie short walk to main square but away from the noise and madness. A haven in Marrakech!
Nice breakfast! Good location.
Charged my credit card again at the Riad despite having paid already before arriving. After noticing the double charge upon my return, I raised the issue and the manager accused me of having 'loss of memory'! Eventually sorted out with the help of Booking and got my money back. Extortionate transfer rates, take a taxi!
good location , nice athmosphere
breakfast is quite simple , always the same sweet stuff. probably (not 100% sure) we got flee (or other insect) bites during our stay.
Loved the spa - highly recommend getting a traditional hamman very relaxing and thereuptic, skin feels great afterwards. The upstairs terrace was lovely, a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, really quiet and caught the sun well. Facilities such as sun loungers, nice shaded seating area and hats provided were a plus. Room and shower were lovely, shower hot and powerful. Breakfast was good.
Initially from research we felt staying near the Souks and close to the square would be ideal, however staying a bit closer to the tourists area would have been better; the choice of food provided in the squares is very limited and there is nowhere in this area to purchase alcohol. Walking through the Souks can take a while as very crowded with donkeys and carts, motor cycles and lots of people walking through. To the main hotels it was a 15-20 min walk; with the weather being nice however this wasn't too much of an issue.
Our stay at the Riad was wonderful. Not only is the staff very friendly, kind and helpful but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and you immediately feel like home. Situated just off the busy Medina it was a very welcome place of peace. I would definitely recommend staying here and will hopefully be able to return one day.
The view of the Atlas Mountains from the roof terrace is amazing. It is an oasis of serenity in all the hustle and bustle outside. The breakfast was good. The massage was great but I was charged for 1 hour when I had half an hour.
Wifi is extremely poor. It was needed too as my friend had her purse snatched on the first evening either in the surrounding streets or square. Whilst this was not the Riad's fault they could have been more helpful and informative.Their lack of advice may now lead to a void insurance claim so what should have been a reasonably priced holiday could turn out very expensive. If this happens report to the tourist police straight away and take your passport and a photocopy of front page. We were not advised this and the Police there were very unhelpful. It is not a city I would recommend to anyone who is in anyway vulnerable. The beauty 'wrap' was not worth the money they were charging.
Friendly staff, Nice rooms. The roof top terrace ok for breakfast. There was not a real view (the terrace walls arehigh) but it was nice and calm up there. Location: nicely calm Someone from the staff around 24/7, so it was easy to order trips or transport etc etc.. Felt safe.
- Breakfast in Morocco is always french type, just bread and "confiture", and coffee, so not very "rich" and nutritious. As a plus I'd say that in this Riad there were fruits available for breakfast :) . - The location: calm but very hard to find in the beginning - Very cold at night without the heater and even when one in the room.. but that's just winter and nothing really to complain about.
Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Riad. The staff were amazing. The location was perfect and a beautiful oasis hideaway from the crazy hustle and bustle that is Marrakech.
