Excellent staff, did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Dining there was memorable. Having a pool to chill out was lovely. The managers were very helpful organising tours. Cleaning staff work very hard and do an excellent job, as do the waiters.
Air con and plumbing can be a bit noisy but wonderful to have air con anyway! The location can be confusing to return to, the first time you go out despite helpful map - advise any guest to take photos to help navigate the return through the medina.
Friendly, helpful staff. Relaxing courtyard with refreshing pool. Lovely roof terrace. Delicious food.
Our air con didn't work one night, but we were able to move rooms the next day.
Great riad,nice and helpfull staff,tasty breakfast,perfect location.
We had to spend 3 nights there, but a member of our family had a health problem. Check-in time was at 14:00, we arrived at 16:30 and the woman in reception asked us to wait in the patio. We were fighting against stress, pain and apprehension for the fact at home, after 10 minutes IN THE PATIO we explained the situation to the woman and we told her about our choice to go home. Her first reply was: "You have to pay the full amount". And she told this think using the support of "this is the booking.com rule". Ok guys...you have to pay the booking.com rates, but you have to give a service as well. 121.50€ is to much for a bottle of water!!! Before to be businessmen must be men!!!!!!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The communal areas were relaxed and the courtyard (including the plunge pool) was perfect for hiding away from the sweltering August afternoons. We loved the breakfasts and the evening meals on the rooftop terrace. We were able to book extra services (guide, taxi) through reception which was very helpful.
Some rooms were very small so would be tricky if you had a lot of luggage (we didn't). We had trouble with our air con but were able to move rooms when we asked to.
+Helpful and friendly staff! One in staff even made pasta for us in the middle of the night when we asked for something small to eat. +Nicely decorated and nice atmosphere! You can sun bath on the terrace and eat a good (but not fantastic) breakfast there. It has a small pool that looks nice, but it is very small. +Extra stuff, we tried the 'Hammam' a kind of humid sauna (not really a steam sauna) were you lie on hot stone benches and can clean yourself with the included 'black soap', which everyone sells in the medina, the soap didn't do much but the experience was nice, and for abut 20 euro for the both of us, it was well worth the money. +Cleaning of the room was excellent, the bathroom seemed fresh even though it flooded after you showered. After sleeping in a cockroach infected riad in Fes this was a nice change, no roaches in the rooms! (though I saw a medium sized one in the lobby near the entrance, but that is probably the medina's fault, not the hotel's).
-Bad WiFi, didn't work inside the room (except at the toilet!) and only sometimes in the lobby (there was a computer in the lobby however that you could use) -The shower caused a small flood every time you used it because of lack of curtain and bad angle of the fixed shower head, it was quite easy to mop up but it should be fixed. -The location is in the medina but not in the most central area (15-20 min walk to the main square), the alleys closest to the hotel are empty and dark, no problems for us, but some people might feel unsafe.
The staff were excellent! The riad is the perfect refuge of relaxation, while still being in the middle of the bustle of Marrakesh. Comfy and clean. Breakfast on the terrace was a treat to wake up to. Would recommend to anyone!
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Right in the medina and close to everything. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were accommodated. Also, the swimming pool is perfect after a hot day out sightseeing.
It was clean, staff were nice
Wrong location of the hotel when you open it in Google maps, you have to use booking.com maps. It was very hard to find! Not possible to pay by credit card.
Mucho más lindo que en las fotos.
Un poco difícil de encontrar por primera vez.
The Riad was very clean and even the cheapest room available was a decent size and looked nice. The location was only about 10-15 minutes walk away from main area. Airport quite close. Staff were friendly and helpful even with the lack of them being English speakers. Plunge pool was cold and fresh which was great due to the hot weather. Great rooftop terrace to sunbath and enjoy weather (Bikini friendly)
For positive feed back as I liked this Riad and enjoyed my stay - Breakfast could do with a bit of fruit or some eggs as its all basically just bread. As my stay was a number of nights, it was a little bland and lack of options. Coffee and juice were good. Your menu's would have been more helpful if they had English version available. When we asked to print our boarding passes for our flight at reception we were told there was internet cafe available in the square (which was hard to find) due to you having printer it would have been much easier if we were charged for the cost of printing ect Other - Riad was in a great location but it was down a few narrow streets which did not have much light after dark and had young teenagers hanging around. Would not recommend lone female travellers for just this reason alone as felt unsafe.
The staff was very friendly, the room very spacious and comfortable and super clean. A perfect place to relax after a hectic day of sightseeing Marrakech.
Some services were overpriced, but its optional so you can decide whether you want to go with them or not.
Staff were very friendly especially Siad and Mohamad extremely welcoming, location was perfect and beautifully set out hotel. Our stay was more then enjoyable.
It was a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of Marakesh. The rooms were small, but lovely and the shared areas where gorgeous. Mohammed was really wonderful and helped us with everything!
The Riad is great, we just had a couple of problems.. When we arrived our room (booked months in advance) wasn't available, so we had to stay one night in a different room and then change to another room for the rest of the stay. We also weren't given a key for the second room (which had to be left open for the whole day, with our valuables inside. We also went on a trip (organised by the hotel) to Ouzoud waterfall which was great and not to be missed! but the tour guide tried to charge us more when we got there, even though this was included. Not uncommon, but something the Riad should worn guests about as we didn't bring too much money as we weren't sure about our belongings and made to feel terrible about it! I spoke to the female receptionist about this, as I thought it would be good to worn other guests. She hadn't taken any notice and didn't seem to care at all. Apart from this, the Riad is a beautiful place and close to everything.
the staff and that it was very pretty
The warm welcome and friendly and kind staff and if you eat there the food is excellent
The attention to detail was fab. Everything so decorative. Place was so clean. Breakfast great. Loved that u walked through the souks to jamaa el fna.
This is very nice beautiful raid. Stylish and cozy living arias are spacious. Roof top terrace make quiet aria in the middle of the Medina. Beautifully decorated spacious rooms and friendly staff made our sat very pleasant.
Breakfast is very continental. I would expect something a bit more from the place like this. All extra services we had tried were very low quality. Massage and manicure were unprofessional. The excursion trip we had bought though this hotel was just organized transportation to the place and back. There was not any guide for us to tell as about places we are visiting.
The staff was amazing. Nicole the tenant is really welcoming as Mohamed, Said and Nadia. Always ready to help. As they said, this house is your house. I definitely recommend it.
Just not really easy to find the first time. I will definitely recommend the airport transferred, so they bring you directly to the riad
Great staff. rooftop terrace. home cooking. short walk to square.
No door on bathroom. Other guests can be noisy and it resonates around the building.
All the staff were so friendly and were so open to helping us find excursions and give us directions and advice of how to get places and where was best to eat and explore. The riad itself is really clean, open and we felt at home the moment we got there. We would make that our only option if we went back to marakesh one day and even though it was hard to find the first day or so, it became easier as the week went on. Had a fantastic time!
I just loved the entire staff and the owners are quite friendly as well. The staff chef is one of the best I've had in Marrakesh and I have been here over one month!
There is no Wifi in any of the rooms. In order to check email or Skype you must go downstairs to a common area to get a wifi signal. THAT is the only negative review about this Riad.
Staff was very friendly and tried to make you feel like home. Breakfast at the roof was very nice although not much view. Lunch is always a small surprise every day and was very good value for money. The environment was quite relaxed and it was quite easy to make conversations with other guests. We ended up having some group tours together and it was very nice experience and a special experience to me.
The biggest problem was wi-fi connection. There are only a few spots with good reception (the reception area is one of them). I had to sit at the reception a lot of time in order to use wi-fi properly and it was somewhat ridiculous. The room was quite small with not much stuff in it (no desk). Because of the structure or layout of the building, the whole building is not sound proof. If a family with kids stay at the hotel, it could be quite unpleasant experience to other guests. I guess that it is a common problem among the Riads in Medina.
The staff were helpful and friendly and the raid had a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that was ideal compared with the busyness and intensity of the souks. The food was excellent and my room was very comfortable, I very much enjoyed staying here.
The only bad thing relating to the raid was the tour I went on. The waterfall tour to the ouraki valley was really disappointing. It was a cheapish tour so I did expect it to be a bit touristy and to stop at shops etc. but it was most of the day stopping at places to buy things and then we were dropped off at a restaurant with no choice but to have an expensive set menu and then were really hassled when we said no and decided to leave. When we eventually set off to walk up to the waterfall I thought we would leave the tourist stuff behind and see a bit of natural beauty. But this place has been really ruined, shops line the trail up to the waterfall, there is graffiti and litter everywhere. I'm sure not all the tours the raid organises are as bad but this one might be one you might want to take off your books!
