The city is not within walking distance. At night it gets very dark. The Hotel is isolated from the city so there isn't much to do in the evening.
Breakfast Mountain view Friendly staff Pastries
definitely not a five-star hotel (more like 3 to 4 max) some basic facilities missing - such as calling taxis to the hotel door - you need to walk about 300m to the nearest taxi stand with your luggage very poor breakfast buffet poorly trained waiting staff
Lacks the colour and atmosphere of a traditional Riad, but a great combination if you can try both!
Amazing location overlooking old Fez, but with easy access. Good facilities with excellent staff and food.
A luxury hotel with great views over Fes. Restaurant staff very accommodating for food not on the menu. Great help to arrange a 2 hour tour of Fes in a petit taxi - worth doing. All staff very efficient, but also friendly
This is not my first stay at Les Merinides and I was horrified at the dreadful food served up for our evening meal. We were only shown into the ground floor restaurant, there is another on the top floor which has better views and ambience (same menu). We were initially given the basic menu and had to request the Moroccan menu. A band has been employed to entertain on the terrace, we could not have a conversation without shouting and we had to request them to stop in order that the call to prayer could be heard, something they should be aware of out of respect- apart from all that they were also extremely bad and will drive customers away. Such a pity!
View from the terrace is stunning, rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful and varied and lunch snack menu perfectly adequate.
Staff do not speak English very well No ATM machine in hotel considering it is a 5 star hotel
Nice big comfortable rooms Amazing views over the old medina
Our room key failed to work 7 times during our stay. There were decoration and painting works ongoing. The hotel is a little overpriced
The hotel had a great panoramic view over the Medina. We drove and the hotel offered free parking. The staff are friendly on the whole. Although there are a one or two less friendly staff. The Pool is great and wifi access.
The load on the internet service was very high we could not use the internet anytime we wanted. The pillows are very bad, not even worth using it.
The city view was such an amazing thing from the hotel swimming pool.
The bed is old
I liked location hotel and staff is very nice .
The hotel is located near the old bazar and traditional shops , just 5 min walk
Way overrated & overpriced. No upkeep on a property that has major potential. Wifi signal does not work well in room.
Great view of sprawling city. However, this is about it.
old furniture ，noisy，too hot inside even after turning off the aircondition
