Lovely big terrace, with an excellent breakfast. Excellent location in the hart of the medina, but still very close to the sea, the harbour... The rooms are beautifully decorated, as are the communial areas. We travelled with two little children, but the staff was very helpfull

We only had a bath, no shower

Excellent location, staff helpful and nice

Sheets didn't seem clean on arrival. Lighting poor in all rooms and very cold in the evenings.

Wonderful, warmhearted, yet discreet service. Relaxing atmosphere, altogether very nice.

The typical Maroccan breakfast does not include fresh fruit (apart from fresh orange juice) it seems.

The receptionist (perhaps owner) was a very generous person. She helped us in many ways. She got us a driver (Mohamed) for a day tour in Essaouira and nearby cities for a reasonable price (Plus he was a person of trust). The same driver took us from Essaouira to Casablanca, including a site visit in Casablanca. Everything was arranged by the reception lady. She went further and called a car rental agency for us and canceled a reservation that we had. We were overall very happy with our stay at the riad mainly for its safety and for being surrounded by such generous and considerate people.

A beautiful spacious room and lovely communal areas. The staff were very friendly, helpful and hard working.

The aggressive seagulls diving onto the breakfast tables on the roof terrace.

Delicious breakfast. The building is aesthetically decorated: fountain with candles, lots of plants, a library and rooms with different themes. There is a spacious rooftop terrace inviting you to relax.

For the price class there were too many problems here and there: a not properly working toilet flush, the water did not flow properly out of the sink and more. There were ongoing renovations during our stay in low season and there was a strong smell of wood stain in our room. We could change the room but there were again other problems in that new one. In general it seemed like the staff did not take care of the rooms (in low season?).

beautiful place, lovely decor in traditional riad style, clean and functionable, great for a few days in essaouria...

could have slightly more food variation for breakfast.

We found the staff very helpful, giving us advice on sights to see and organising taxis for us. The breakfast on the roof terrace was a lovely, relaxing start to the day - with plenty to eat.
