Score from 26 reviews Excellent
The room was nice, comfortable, in good condition and well equipped. The architecture and decor of the hotel is impressive. Small friendly place in a good location (Gueliz).
Wifi was patchy in the room but better in the reception area. The toilet seat was unstable!
-good reception -very big room (supreme), comfort -nice pool (also possible to take breakfast around pool, was nice)
The hotel is modern with a Moroccon/French flavour, located in the new city. It is convenient and very accessible, in a quiet area. It is a cheap taxi fare away from the Old city and just a 5 min walk from the new shopping mall where you will find a Starbucks and Supermarket. The staff were very helpful and even allowed us a late meal close to the closing time of the restaurant the night we first arrived. The food was good quality for the price and breakfast every morning was nice for a limited selection - however, if you like just pastry for a morning snack (and don't have breakfast inc.) the patisserie adjacent the hotel is better value! The lobby/reception and restaurant are neat & tidy and welcoming spaces, the pool beyond the restaurant patio is small but a nice resting area to cool down and relax. The rooms are spacious and the air-con is excellent, we had a balcony which allowed us to dry our clothes/swimwear quickly. Overall we enjoyed our stay and are grateful to the kind and helpful staff.
The first day we arrived was late and when we got to our room it wasn't what we had booked - we booked a balcony room and the sheets were stained so we slept on top of the duvet - however, the next day we spoke to the receptionist and we were given a new room where we found the sheets to be cleaner and the room was of better quality. I would have liked more fruit at breakfast, the only fruit on offer is watermelon though very refreshing some other variety would have been nice! The major concern we had was the cleanliness of the sheets, though of course laundered and changed regularly enough (on request) the sheets were stained and not fresh whites which was off-putting. The towels were never changed unless requested at reception, even when the dirty/used towels were left on the floor for pick-up, housekeeping just re-hung the used towels on the rack! Mid-stay the TV lost all signal and we asked multiple times to have it checked out and fixed if possible, the maintenance worker came to check it once but didn't do anything that we hadn't tried and then left without fixing the problem! There is no hairdryer in the room, it can only be requested at reception, though it is a powerful appliance rather than the typical hotel dryer, the first time I requested it, I didn't receive it - perhaps there is just one for multiple guests and if it is being used you must wait?! The lift was regularly used by the housekeeping staff preventing the guests from using it even in the evening. There were two lifts though it seemed only one worked but mostly we had to climb the stairs even on our depart we had to carry our suitcases down the 4 flights of stairs! Though these are minor issues and didn't really affect the enjoyment of our time in Marrakesh, given that the hotel is a 3 star rating we would have expected more cleanliness from the housekeeping.
Staff was nice. Room was spacious and clean, air condition was working very well. A street is quiet, so a goog sleep is guarantied. There is a little fridge in a room.
Main light switch was faulty so I had to use circuit breaker to switch it off. Hotel staff was unable to repair it for my entire stay. When both lifts malfunctioned, they have been inoperative for 3 days and probably even longer - I have left before they have been repaired. Swimming pool is very small, about 12 m. x 6 m. in size and surrounded by high walls from each side; no sun light is reaching swimming pool area, thus sunbathing is impossible. Around swimming pool there is only space for 7 beach chairs. No amenities to make a tea or coffe.
Location close to everything, room service was spectacular, staff were friendly, fully serviced and airconditioned, clean rooms, fast wifi inside rooms, and an amazing pool and breakfast.
The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. Everyone was laid back and it was very relaxing. I would stay there again.
Even though it was very beautiful and I did manage to get a tan, the pictures of the pool area were very different on the website to what it is in reality - its very small so it gets sun for 2.5 hours a day and the deck chairs fill up quickly!
Locaiton is good
Wifi does not work in side the rooms Bed sheets are very old and even had wear and tears on it. Their booking system does not work could not find my booking through you and tried to charge me %30 more. You can not find personnel if you leave early for breakfast....
good value, a little away from the centre, quiet.
Everything was fine from the moment we checked in, service was really good.. Breakfast was nothing spectacular, however after looking around other hotels their all the same.. However really and truly it was a really good hotel, we had the pool to ourselves even in the night!
good location, staff were very helpful,
Ok value for money and location in the new quarter of town.
Two of three of us got food poissing from eating at the hotel. One of us got very ill and had to see doctor while in Marrakech and upon return to Europe.
Good swimming pool, cheap and good restaurant, clean, refregerator at the room
You have to negotiate about the parking price, 20 dirham a day is a good price. First the airco did not work, we got an other room, the airco also did not work, next day it was repared
Room size nice, safe available but as extra, extra large bed and good mattress, friendly and reactive staff
Buffet breakfast was a bit poor
Rooms were clean and comfortably large. The air con worked. Showers were hot . Breakfast was ok
Lift was slow.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good
friendly staff and welcoming attitude, all made it a very pleasant stay.
wifi was patchy, and slow.
Very spacious room with a huge double bed, a small fridge (very useful) nice breakfast. Good value for money.
It's a shame not having a rooftop terrace. The swimming pool is never exposed to the sun and to get there you have to pass through the restaurant... On top of that, despite having 49 rooms there are only 9 deck chairs availables...
Everything was to my satisfaction.Location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast ,price and standard
Friendly and helpful staff. Basic but adequate rooms. Reasonable location about 20-30 minutes stroll from the medina. Proximity of cafes and restaurants. Value for money.
Design of hotel causes sound to travel so could be a bit noisy. Some loose fittings in the bathroom. No other complaints.
OK price-value ratio.
The street is noisy. Wi-Fi is not really working in the rooms.
Okay value for money. It's away from the Medina which was a good thing.
Very good value for the money. We arrived late in Marrakech and the hotel was easy to find and checkin was a breeze. We had an issue with the room and they immediately switched our room. Breakfast was a buffet and was good.
Compared to other hotels we tried in Morocco, this place had a decent internet connection. It only fell out once, and only for a short while. Nice helpful staff. Comfy beds, large room.
Hot water could be hot as opposed to luke warm. Minibar and refrigerator is not the same thing, though in general hotels in Morocco seem to not know this. Air condition could not heat to over 20 C even when set higher, which is too cold.
The rooms were nice and comfortable, friendly staff. Breakfast quite good and they brought more food items quickly when finished. Reasonably priced.
The street is quite noicy specially at weekends. The staff could not advice much about the surroundings (didn't know a restaurant on the same street!)
Good location for the attractions and restaurants in Gueliz, and reasonable value for money. Rooms were clean and pretty comfortable.
With the notable exception of the receptionist in spectacles, I didn't find the staff very helpful at all. On arrival I had to carry my bags up four flights of stairs because the only working lift was being used by staff who pressed the "close the doors" button rather than let us get in. And on returning to my room one afternoon I found someone had turned the heater up to 30 degrees, and it took several hours to get it back down to a bearable temperature.
