Convenient location inside the medina close to the port and to the beach. Wonderful terrace. Rooms with nice design. Very clean. Big bathroom. Good breakfast. A perfect choice to spend some days in Essaouira.

The last night we noticed that there were some bed bugs in our room, but as many people know this fact does not depend by the hotel (it was absolutely clean) but by other travellers that bring in the insects unconsciously.

The Riad is quiet and charming. The staff - Khadija and Hamid - are a treat to guests and they did their best to cater to our needs. The internet was very fast too.

The rooms are beautifully decorated. My room had a mouldy smell because it didn't have any external windows. The rooms are very close to each other because of the traditional design of the riad, so one needs to be very careful with making any noise in the room.

Good location, easy to find and to get from everywhere, although it's inside the medina which it's a bit labyrinthine. Breakfast is good and it has a nice roof terrace.

It looks like it is in a doggy area but there is no danger, essaouira is a very safe place

EVERYTHING! The staff is very friendly and professional. Guillaume, the manager, provided us with lots of useful infos to make the best of our stay in Essaouira. The riad is so charming and clean, feels like home. I will definitely go there again for my next stay in Essaouira.

The riad is in the medina, but is easy to find at the first time without asking. Supratour bus company is very near from the riad. The room is wide, comfortable and clean.

The breakfast was very good and complete, but in the terrace are plenty of bees and finally was very dissapointing. Wifi doesn´t work from our room.

    nice terrace and breakfast

The girl who worked at the front desk was impolite. She became nervous when I could not understand how to fill out the form. Unfortunately I do not speak French, and she did not speak English. Finally she pulled my passport out of hand and she finished filling the document with an offended face. Other people working at the hotel were nice and helpful. To get to the hotel you have to go through a dark and unpleasant gate.

Very good location, nicely decorated, delicious breakfast, helpful staff. I really enjoyed my time there!

They didn't change my towels every day, but despite that the service and the Rids was very good and beyond my expectations.

The roof terrace and the staff that worked there (not the owners).

Where to start! Our room was damp and the owner refused to acknowledge this complaint insisting that all riads were like that! We booked for 8 nights and after night 2 could not stay any longer because of the dark, damp room which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Added to this un-comfort was the fact that it was nigh impossible to sleep past 8.30 because of the noise levels (radio playing downstairs, noise from the breakfast preparations). So as not to ruin our holidays we took the decision to leave the riad because of the damp conditions. When we asked the owner what could be done (because we booked for 6 more nights) he said a compromise was for us to stay another night (night 3) and then pay for half of the nights left on our booking (5 nights). (We were moved to a nicer room for night 3 - which wasn't damp!!). We agreed to this but only because we had no other choice. Having paid 70 euro to basically leave the we discovered when we were leaving that the damp, dark room that we stayed in on nights one and two was already occupied again. The riad did not loose any money but we had to fork out money to leave - no attempt was made to rectify this which has left us with a bitter taste.

The building, location, terrace with sea view and yummy brekkies. he staff was really kind and welcoming towards my daughter who loved staying there too.

There was a drainage issue with our shower chamber and we were given one bathroom mat for the entire four days and nights with which to mop the area. Also, when I asked about safety of the rooms for keeping cash the response was defensive instead of reassuring.Maybe a cultural thing?

Riad Ocean Medina is a lovely property and the proprietor clearly has thought of everything that a guest could need for a relaxing, comfortable and convenient stay. We were put up in the terrace suite which is a truly beautiful space, done in blue and white with a slightly country feel to it. It was impeccably clean, comfortable, with strong wifi connection and we can't think of anything to recommend that could have made it better. Thanks again to all of the staff for a flawless stay, we hope to visit again!

Nice riad with good location 5 minutes walk from supratours bus station. After check out could leave bags until bus leaving later in the afternoon.

Was in a room on the second floor and little noisy from 7:45 as breaking being set up on rooftop terrace. Also bit noisy early night as guess above dragging bags or moving furniture (could not hear voices)

The Riad is located on the inner edge of the Medina, so it's pretty calm on the doorstep. The Riad Ocean is well cared for and maintained, with small details given great care (ex. fresh towels placed on the sun loungers on the roof). A lovely view and ambiance on the rooftop terrace, perfect anytime of day. Our room (6) was dark but well sized, including a spacious bathroom with plenty of hot water.

When we arrived at the hotel the woman who greeted us was informative, efficient but not warm or friendly. Further interactions with (some) staff proved to be even less enjoyable. Its strange that such a well run establishment stops short of trying to create a welcoming environment for guests. Perhaps our experience would have been different if we spoke French.

Good location, great view and great breakfast. The room was nicely decorated. Easy to find and well marked.

As with all Riads the room had a damp smell and it was very noisy. Breakfast preparation starts early and the staff isn't very considerate about the noise that goes with it. So don't go to a riad if you want an undisturbed sleep. The bed was clean but the bathroom was full of long black hairs. There is a 3euro pp.'city tax' unique to this place. At booking.Com there were no other places asking such a high fee. It could be a scam.

Nice terrace and breakfast. Special thanks to Hamid .

Creepy entrance to the hotel from a stinky and dirty alley, hard to find. The room "Bab Doukkala" was dark and damp, bad smell. Very noisy in the mornings. Unsympathetic manager, she came knocking to the room to make us leave, very strict check out.
