The breakfast was nice.
The breakfast was up to 30 minutes late. Normally this is not really a problem because your on holiday. But it is very annoying if you have to catch the bus on time. They also have a weird way of money to convert what is wrong. You pay more euro´s than it is in Dirham. This was really disappointing... The rooms are ok, but if you shower the whole bathroom gets wet.
Nice area with fire place downstairs for cold winter evenings, roof terrace with views, where a good breakfast is served, great location, staff was friendly and helpful, rented 2 bicycles
This could have been a perfect property, what brings it down was the smell of damp in our room, room no 4 was like a potato cellar. Second night we burnt a few incense sticks and it made it quite good and we could sleep through the night. The room needs ventilation, the bathroom has ventilation but they were not working and there are no windows to the outside of the building so ventilation is they key, also some heating would have helped, there is no heating facility in the room.
wonderful breakfast on terrasse on the roof, friendly personel, quiet, location in the medina, wonderful view to the beach, nice room, nice bathroom
room was a little bit dark
Rabia and her staff were very helpful. We loved having breakfast on the rooftop terrace and relaxing in their salon.
the room and the riad in general were beautifully clean and traditionally decorated. the riad was quiet, peaceful and the terrace had a great view of the ocean which we could enjoy during breakfast and also while sunbathing on one of the sunbeds (in the middle of November). The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. the host and the staff were always available and checking the everything was ok. another very useful thing was a folder that they had compiled with restaurant recommendations, activities available etc, which they would lso help you book.
the way to the riad takes you on a few shady streets. but don't get discouraged by that. once you get there it's all worth it.
Very comfortable room with a great shower / bathroom. Good location in the Medina and easy to find compared to the riads in Marakech. Very helpful staff.
States at Riad Ocean Medina for 3 nights and loved it. We had the top room on the roof terrace which was huge and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Breakfast was simple but did the job and the staff were so friendly and kind. The location was brill and not too difficult to find although we had to be shown how to be there on arrival. Would I recommend it; absolutely.
Friendly and helpful staff. Try helped us book our bus tickets to marrakech and also recommended some great restaurant to eat. I'd stay here again!
great location, in the center of the medina, near the sea, wonderful view to the sea, amazing terrace (unlike most of the riads). ,very friendly staff, great breakfast, very clean and Not crowded. we reccomend to stay at the on the roof, very big room, with view.
Nice decoration, comfortable room, good wifi
We stay for one night and it was impossible to sleep because of bedbugs. They were not like one or two but everywhere all around the bed . All night long we were sitting and we tried to get rid of them but it was futileness. It was our worst experience in this travel. I don't recommended it to anyone. Also the room had a horrible smell of mould and humidity. And the position was little scary.
a wonderful place to stay in medina near the ocean, very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, a pleasant experience.
Breakfast was great, and location was very good. Owners are kind and give good advise.
We didn't have water for 3 days, because of the water problem in the medina and because we were on the third floor. (Not enough presure)
The rooftop and the building are really great as well as the interior. The host is a really friendly and welcoming person.
One member of the staff talked always very quiet and was hard to understand and even most of the time she trie to avoid talking. Also there was no water running for some hours in the afternoon.
The Riad is nice and clean, the staff is great. All the Riads are located in the same street, in the medina... It can look a bit scary the first time, but it is really safe and central.
The room, service and breakfast.
Breakfast was nice, so was the teracce and the Manegers.
Didn`t like the idea of "water hours" (hot water only early in the morning, acroos the day no watter at all in the evening hardly any watter - feels like the scouts or the army, but hey, you`re in Africa). They say that that is the case in all medina, didn`t check that fact.
Breakfast, Location, Wifi
We were very dissappointed in the room after having read the positive feedback this riad got and after having asked to get a room on the 2nd floor to make sure we'd have a nice room. Our room, Zagora, was extremely dark and was very moisty. This caused a bad smell in the room. Also, the shower gave very few water, especially at the evening around 7pm. They told is this was a general problem around the city and that all riads faced the same problem. However we did not find anything about this online or on forums, and cannot imagine some of the luxury hotels in the hearth of the city having this same problem. Personnel was ok but we've had friendlier. Room was the worst we've had among all riads we've slept in during our three week trip in Marocco.
We had a great 5days in this riad. The design is fantastic especially the terraces, adorable. Breakfast is outstanding and very rich: pastry, jam, dates, juice, fruits, bread, moroccon cookies. We booked a hammam treatment as well through the rias which was a very relaxing experience. Our room was a tad dark, but was clean and nicely decorated. Next time I would rather go for one of the rooms on the second floor as there might be more light. Christel is a lovely and funny lady who is happy to help you in every question
I didn't like the alleyway where the riad is situated. It's full of trash all the time, however it's not the riad's fault
Convenient location inside the medina close to the port and to the beach. Wonderful terrace. Rooms with nice design. Very clean. Big bathroom. Good breakfast. A perfect choice to spend some days in Essaouira.
The last night we noticed that there were some bed bugs in our room, but as many people know this fact does not depend by the hotel (it was absolutely clean) but by other travellers that bring in the insects unconsciously.
Nice terrace Nice people
Dark beedroom No internet access in the beedrooms
The Riad is quiet and charming. The staff - Khadija and Hamid - are a treat to guests and they did their best to cater to our needs. The internet was very fast too.
The rooms are beautifully decorated. My room had a mouldy smell because it didn't have any external windows. The rooms are very close to each other because of the traditional design of the riad, so one needs to be very careful with making any noise in the room.
Really great place
A bit difficult to find
Great staff, good location, good breakfast, short walk to the bus station.
wifi was a little slow.
Good location, easy to find and to get from everywhere, although it's inside the medina which it's a bit labyrinthine. Breakfast is good and it has a nice roof terrace.
It looks like it is in a doggy area but there is no danger, essaouira is a very safe place
easy to find, relatively economical
