Nice decoration, comfortable room, good wifi
We stay for one night and it was impossible to sleep because of bedbugs. They were not like one or two but everywhere all around the bed . All night long we were sitting and we tried to get rid of them but it was futileness. It was our worst experience in this travel. I don't recommended it to anyone. Also the room had a horrible smell of mould and humidity. And the position was little scary.
a wonderful place to stay in medina near the ocean, very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, a pleasant experience.
Breakfast was great, and location was very good. Owners are kind and give good advise.
We didn't have water for 3 days, because of the water problem in the medina and because we were on the third floor. (Not enough presure)
The rooftop and the building are really great as well as the interior. The host is a really friendly and welcoming person.
One member of the staff talked always very quiet and was hard to understand and even most of the time she trie to avoid talking. Also there was no water running for some hours in the afternoon.
The Riad is nice and clean, the staff is great. All the Riads are located in the same street, in the medina... It can look a bit scary the first time, but it is really safe and central.
The room, service and breakfast.
Breakfast was nice, so was the teracce and the Manegers.
Didn`t like the idea of "water hours" (hot water only early in the morning, acroos the day no watter at all in the evening hardly any watter - feels like the scouts or the army, but hey, you`re in Africa). They say that that is the case in all medina, didn`t check that fact.
Breakfast, Location, Wifi
We were very dissappointed in the room after having read the positive feedback this riad got and after having asked to get a room on the 2nd floor to make sure we'd have a nice room. Our room, Zagora, was extremely dark and was very moisty. This caused a bad smell in the room. Also, the shower gave very few water, especially at the evening around 7pm. They told is this was a general problem around the city and that all riads faced the same problem. However we did not find anything about this online or on forums, and cannot imagine some of the luxury hotels in the hearth of the city having this same problem. Personnel was ok but we've had friendlier. Room was the worst we've had among all riads we've slept in during our three week trip in Marocco.
We had a great 5days in this riad. The design is fantastic especially the terraces, adorable. Breakfast is outstanding and very rich: pastry, jam, dates, juice, fruits, bread, moroccon cookies. We booked a hammam treatment as well through the rias which was a very relaxing experience. Our room was a tad dark, but was clean and nicely decorated. Next time I would rather go for one of the rooms on the second floor as there might be more light. Christel is a lovely and funny lady who is happy to help you in every question
I didn't like the alleyway where the riad is situated. It's full of trash all the time, however it's not the riad's fault
Convenient location inside the medina close to the port and to the beach. Wonderful terrace. Rooms with nice design. Very clean. Big bathroom. Good breakfast. A perfect choice to spend some days in Essaouira.
The last night we noticed that there were some bed bugs in our room, but as many people know this fact does not depend by the hotel (it was absolutely clean) but by other travellers that bring in the insects unconsciously.
Nice terrace Nice people
Dark beedroom No internet access in the beedrooms
The Riad is quiet and charming. The staff - Khadija and Hamid - are a treat to guests and they did their best to cater to our needs. The internet was very fast too.
The rooms are beautifully decorated. My room had a mouldy smell because it didn't have any external windows. The rooms are very close to each other because of the traditional design of the riad, so one needs to be very careful with making any noise in the room.
Really great place
A bit difficult to find
Great staff, good location, good breakfast, short walk to the bus station.
wifi was a little slow.
Good location, easy to find and to get from everywhere, although it's inside the medina which it's a bit labyrinthine. Breakfast is good and it has a nice roof terrace.
It looks like it is in a doggy area but there is no danger, essaouira is a very safe place
easy to find, relatively economical
EVERYTHING! The staff is very friendly and professional. Guillaume, the manager, provided us with lots of useful infos to make the best of our stay in Essaouira. The riad is so charming and clean, feels like home. I will definitely go there again for my next stay in Essaouira.
The staff was very nice and open.
The riad is in the medina, but is easy to find at the first time without asking. Supratour bus company is very near from the riad. The room is wide, comfortable and clean.
The breakfast was very good and complete, but in the terrace are plenty of bees and finally was very dissapointing. Wifi doesn´t work from our room.
nice terrace and breakfast
The girl who worked at the front desk was impolite. She became nervous when I could not understand how to fill out the form. Unfortunately I do not speak French, and she did not speak English. Finally she pulled my passport out of hand and she finished filling the document with an offended face. Other people working at the hotel were nice and helpful. To get to the hotel you have to go through a dark and unpleasant gate.
the staff is great
Great place to be. Vincent, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful riad with the two targest cats ive ever seen
Very good location, nicely decorated, delicious breakfast, helpful staff. I really enjoyed my time there!
They didn't change my towels every day, but despite that the service and the Rids was very good and beyond my expectations.
The roof terrace and the staff that worked there (not the owners).
Where to start! Our room was damp and the owner refused to acknowledge this complaint insisting that all riads were like that! We booked for 8 nights and after night 2 could not stay any longer because of the dark, damp room which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Added to this un-comfort was the fact that it was nigh impossible to sleep past 8.30 because of the noise levels (radio playing downstairs, noise from the breakfast preparations). So as not to ruin our holidays we took the decision to leave the riad because of the damp conditions. When we asked the owner what could be done (because we booked for 6 more nights) he said a compromise was for us to stay another night (night 3) and then pay for half of the nights left on our booking (5 nights). (We were moved to a nicer room for night 3 - which wasn't damp!!). We agreed to this but only because we had no other choice. Having paid 70 euro to basically leave the we discovered when we were leaving that the damp, dark room that we stayed in on nights one and two was already occupied again. The riad did not loose any money but we had to fork out money to leave - no attempt was made to rectify this which has left us with a bitter taste.
The building, location, terrace with sea view and yummy brekkies. he staff was really kind and welcoming towards my daughter who loved staying there too.
There was a drainage issue with our shower chamber and we were given one bathroom mat for the entire four days and nights with which to mop the area. Also, when I asked about safety of the rooms for keeping cash the response was defensive instead of reassuring.Maybe a cultural thing?
