Staying in a riad is an interesting experience if you do not mind the lack of daylight whilst in your room. The roof terrace provides plenty of opportunity to catch the sunlight, where meals can be taken. The Balbaraka's terrace, like their rooms, are well appointed with Arab style loungers and cushions in open tents. The rooms are large and have heavy doors and internal window shutters to reduce noise from guests arriving or leaving during the night. The staff are also very pleasant, courteous and pleased to help at any time.
Nothing out of the ordinary to report. Naturally, a riad is quite different from a western home, so there are certain things one needs to get used to e.g. lack of daylight in the rooms, and greater proximity to other guests than would be usual in a hotel.
Kind staff, beautiful design, nice break fast, good location. The best one during my travel in Morocco.
Management and staff really friendly, courteous and helpful. Tastefully decorated room. Quiet environment. Wonderful breakfast. Good location re- main square, good restaurants (Cafe Arabe, Terasse des Espices), Acima supermarket & Marjorelle Gardens (15 to 20 minute walk)
The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
The hot water ran out if you slept beyond 10am; the walk through the alleys at night was daunting at first.
More or less everything was brilliant. The staff and the owner really welcoming and helpfull!
Nothing in particular.
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Made our stay fantastic! The riad is at a very good location, and the riad itself is nice and kozy.
Nice location, fairly easy to find, and helpful staff.
Slightly noisy in the mornings, not the most beautiful riad we stayed in (but this shouldn't put you off)
Was a very lovely, tipical and charming place.the room was clean, staff very young and helpful and disposable to answer to any question.they organise the transport for airport and also trips to the mountains and Casablanca for us.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The riad is a very nice place to stay, a little far from the main square.
Exceptionally helpfull and service oriented owners and staff. You felt like family.
WiFi only reliable in public areas where it however worked very fine.
We are very pleased with our stay in Maison Belbaraka! We highly recommend it! It is very beautiful with very nice decor, a wonderful terrasse and it is in the heart of the Medina. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we had great service. Charlotte is such a lovely person, she helped us a lot, it was better than having a tour guide! If we go to Marrakech again, we know where we will stay!
Driver met us at airport and delivered us to door. Siad welcomed us like family and mapped out a route to markets and sights. The food was amazing, and service was above and beyond. The beds were very comfortable and the room spacious.
Hot water was a bit sparodic but we didnt mention it as we were so happy with everything else it just didnt matter that our showers were a bit chilly!
Friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. Available whenever needed and we were made to feel very welcome. Excellent service and the food was brilliant.
friendly ,comfortable and lovely environment. The staff were so helpful. No complaints we will be staying again.
Helpful and friendly staff. Nice and quiet place to come back to compared to the craziness of the streets and markets. Great romantic dinner on the terrace. Beautiful rooms with great ventilation. Not too far a walk from the souks and the square. Good selection for breakfast.
Wifi signal was poor inside our room and on the terrace. Being terrorized by bees while eating breakfast on the terrace. Whilst this is no fault of the staff, there should be some food covering options available.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff in a beautifully restored riad at the heart of the maze of narrow alleys in the medina. Beautiful indoors and up on the roof where excellent meals (and breakfast) are served.
Substantially, nothing. It is quite expensive but, if you can afford it, it's well worthwhile.
Staff, location, decor was excellent. Everyone was friendly and glad to help me. On my first day, Charlotte gave me a map and showed me where and how to go in Medina. It didn't take much time to realize how convenient the location of this riad was. It is located next to a big road crossing all medina. It took 10-15 minutes to walk to square, Jardin Majorelle and other attractions. I also recommend to buy a sim card to have an access to Maps on your phone as it's extremely easy to get lost in Medina. Overall, I highly recommend to stay in this riad for its comfort, convenience and care you get for this reasonable price.
Very good location in the Medina, 20 minutes walk to Djemaa el fna but only a few minutes to beginning of the souks. The Riad was very quiet with a lovely roof terrace for breakfast and relaxing in the shade or sun. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked the airport transfer which was very helpful and had dinner on the terrace the first evening.
the internet was not good. Even in common areas when you could connect it was VERY slow.
