Very warm welcoming family in a traditional beautiful kasbah. Very tasty abundant breakfast is included and we could use the perfectly equipped kitchen.
Everything was perfect for us.
Very nice decoration and surroundings
We had a trouble finding the right way but the owner came and led us to the house
great location with lovely walking in the oasis. really enjoyed our stay here. delicious food and able to cater for vegetarians. the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and got up at 630am to take us to the bus stop on his motorbike.
Special and beautiful location A lot of different and beautiful rooms for dinner, breakfast, rooftop Nice staff and clean
Old bread during dinner Old bread during brakfast, also no eggs, pancakes, etc.
The best stay we had in Morocco. Great hospitality. Amazing food (homemade)! Really we felt like we visited family. I would recommend to anyone who look for proper Moroccan stay ( not 5*hotels)
A little difficult to find (so keep your selfs an e-mail with directions which you WILL receive after booking) or pay to local person to show you the way ( but agreed the price in advance!)
The room was pretty big, there is a wonderful view of the oasis from the terrace, the dinner we ate was good. The road is easy to drive, no special car needed to get there. Cheap hotel.
Warning for all tourists: I need to warn you upfront that the owner of the hotel helps local hustlers to rip you tourist off. We arrived close to the hotel, and were contacted and driven there by a guy who said being part of the hotel family. In fact, this guy was welcomed by the hotel owner, and was invited to have tea with us while we were checking in. The owner was always present while this guy, who turned to be a hustler, was arranging to take us for a tour in the area,a nd treated him like family (he was one of his cousins, as we found out later). At the end of a 1,5 hrs tour in not so memorable places, this guy asks us 200 dirham for the tour! We thought he was part of the hotel, he walked away with 150 of my dirham, if I knew he did not belong to the hotel I would have never followed him, but the owner fooled me, and I am positive he may earn himself from these scams. Beware!! On top, room was quite cold, breakfast very poor, shower with little water pressure and strange smell
very friendly, great hospitality, good dinner (the best tagine ever) and a lovely restaured kasbah. Very quiet and the room was warm, and the shower also!
Nothing! (Except that I took the key of the room with me, sorry! Sent it back ;))
This place was fantastic, felt like home, very charming, with a beautiful terrace with great view of the surrounding oasis. The indoor restaurant space was also lovely (a little cold in December) with intricate decor. The location was great, off the beaten track, in an old village of Kasbahs in old Skoura. It gives one a real sense of what it is like in smaller towns/villages in Morocco. We really enjoyed walking around the village in the evening/night, picking up supplies in the little corner store, seeing the architecture, and agriculture in the village. We felt quite safe there. We had hot water shower and a space heater in the room which kept it warm enough in Dec. The rooms had authentic skin rugs and berber blankets. I wouldn't say it was the cleanest accommodation i've ever stayed in, but not gross or anything. It just felt like an authentic Moroccan home instead of a super sterile hotel. If you are really picky about cleanliness, you might not like it, but i think you'd be missing out on the other charms and comforts of the place. Mohamad and family are very gracious hosts, very friendly. Mohamad spoke english really well, which was a relief since most places we were in Morocco didn't have english speaking owners/managers. We were greeted when we arrived at night and were taken immediately for tea. They gave us one of the family's room's to stay in because they accidentally overbooked the place because they had another guest with my same first name who they thought must be me. It was so gracious of them to give up a room for us to stay since we had journeyed so far to get there. We loved it so much there that we booked a second night. The other guests staying there were really cool. When we were there it wasn't the 20 something backpacker crowd, but instead families and slightly older couples who had come for a relaxing atmosphere and hiking opportunities nearby.
The only negative part of our experience was that one employee there told us we should see an organization in the new part of Skoura that helps divorced women learn crafts. He came with us, but when we got there it turned out to be a super-pushy carpet salesman and it was nearly impossible to get away. The rest of our stay he kept asking us if we would accept lower and lower prices for a carpet. We had no interest in carpets and were pretty uncomfortable with the situation.
Perfect location between the palm trees. Authentic Kasbah. Skoura is not far from the Todra Gorge, Ourzazate and Kasba ait Ben Haddou (strategic location). hospitality was also perfect!
The kasbah is in the midst of the oasis. Great viewing from the roof terrace. Nice place to go out for a walk trough the oasis and have a look into the kasbah which is at the 50 dirham bills.
We get lost when we tried to find the kasbah. When you drive at the main road, wait till the boards send you into the oasis. Otherwise ask one of the people. They were willing to bring us to our destination.
Everything!! Authentic eco-design of this place gives a warm feeling, cosy rooms are decorated and arranged with love, the hotel is very clean and has all necessary facilities including fast WiFi internet in the room. Home-made food was so delicious, I've tried here the best cous cous in Morocco! Eating on the terrasse with amazing view on mountains and palm grove was a moment of real delight. The place is so calm and peaceful, being there cures your soul. Star-gazing from the terasse at night was amazing! The owner Mohamed and his family do a great job to maintain the guest house and make their guests feel at home, they are very friendly and simple people... I really didn't want to leave that place and I can't wait to come back!
I really loved everything in this guest house and i'm very thankful to the owner for his hospitality!
