Needed a place for just the night since we got in late and needed to leave early for the airport. Airport was about a mile away so we walked in the morning instead of trying to get a taxi. The room itself was very clean and enjoyable. Staff was friendly and very funny. Got in very late and they were very accommodating.
The cleanliness and the space of the room, the breakfast, the staff, the valuable price
The noise, poor wifi
Very clean bed, sheets and towels. Bathroom was absolutely spotless. Small balcony. Excellently located a short stroll from the bus and grand taxi station as well as supratours. Helpful staff that explains what's in the area and gives good tips about restaurants that the locals actually use. Genuinely helpful and not pushy at all. Downtown easily reachable on foot. Decent breakfast for the price. Excellent value for money. Would stay again.
A bit noisy. No ac. Weak Wi-Fi in the room but good near the lobby. Nothing seriously wrong.
Very friendly staff, at arrival you get good info about the area without them trying to sell you a tour. Room was nice and clean. Good breakfast. Close to the busstation.
Friendly staff, good location and clean basic room with a good shower. Great value.
Staff were friendly and helpful
clean rooms, good breakfast, not far from centre
Easy to find, friendly personnel, rooms according to European standard, very clean, optimum price-performance ratio, restaurants with Moroccan food and prices (no tourist ripoff) near - ask at reception
Lovely affordable hotel, very close to the bus station. I loved my stay there!
Cheap hotel, friendly personal.
Helpful and friendly staff, good location, parking in front of the hotel, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, good breakfast.
+ perfect location + Great place to rest before and after the dessert + good coffee + free parking + great service and advise for the road
- one morning the room only had cold water, but stuff was very helpful and let us use a bathroom in another free room
Price! Location is OK, can walk to everywhere as its a small town. Very close to bus station.
At 5am I was supposed to be picked up by a 4x4 driver to go to the finish line of the Marathon Des Sables (yearly 6x marathon event), but he didn't turn up. When I arrived I had been offered the use of the phone to call local numbers (as very cheap compared to my mobile) but when I tried to use the phone the staff (who were not at the desk as they were sleeping in a back room) woke and became very rude and made me hang up. My entire trip to Morocco was for this one thing and I was about to miss it... the staff just said "that's your my problem". I only needed to call the other hotel where other people where leaving from but instead I had to walk there carrying my bags at 5am.... if that is how a hotel treat a guest in need of help they don't deserve the high rating. I tried to explain and stay polite but they we're not morning people... The loud echo-ness - all noise travels to all floor due to big tiled halls and stairs (room doors don't keep it out.)
The staff was really good and very attentive. The main receptionist is a kind of a joker and always in good spirits. He gave me lots of good advice and helped planning my trips out. He also ordered me some food, which was brought to the hotel and all at little price- this saved me walking for miles to the nearest nice cafe/restaurant. Room was spacious and clean.
The location of the hotel is not great. It's situated in the new part of town, which is still developing and therefore looks like a building-side. The area isn't pretty and there is good 15-20min hike to the town centre. It's great if you arrive in a car-big car park opposite the hotel.
Very good location 3 minutes from the bus station, big clean room, nice and helpful staff at the reception and breakfast room.
Good internet, hot water working perfectly, and very cheap.
A really nice hotel. Good ambience, good breakfast, nice helpful staff. Drinks were cheap. Good free wi-fi connection.
The only down side to this hotel is that it is situated on a main road to the airport and to an industrial area. There is noise from lorries and other transport during early morning and late night.
Great staff and clean rooms. The location is about 10 min walking from the centre but next to the busstation and 2 min walking from a couple of restaurants.
We stayed one night. I am a teacher leading a group of 24 students, accompanied by one othere staff member. I cannnot praise Hotel Marmar enough. All rooms were ready for some extremely tired students (after nights in the dersrt and trekking the Todra Gorge). Clean, comfortable and quiet. A wonderful breakfast all served effciently with a smile. The staff simply cannot do enough for you. So heplful and happy. In fact, I paid on arrival and then had all my money retured as it had been taken off the College's Credit Card (but as I was not travelling with that card I did not know). They are so honest. Told us the best rates for going to Aït Benhaddou. They have there own fleet of cars and drivers and next time I will use them. So, if thinking of doing this trip - do it with Hotel Marmar as local taxis will promise everything to get you into the car - and then start trying to recduce the time you have at the site etc. It would also cut out the chaos and arguments at the taxis ranks at the local bus stattion - something which does become tiring in Morocco. Get everything sorted before you get in the car. Anyhow, Hotel Marmar, showed us cheap places to eat on a tight budget, gave us plenty of free mint tea and were happy to make a constant flow of fresh orange juice for 26 very thirsty and tired students and teachers. . The location is about 300 metres from Supratours bus office and close to the local bus station/grande taxis rank. It is near Ave Mohammed V where there are millions of banks/ATM's. It is about 30 minute walk to the centre of Ouarzazate. It is an easy walk and if you get lost everyone is happy to help you. restaurants and cafe's are more expensive in the centre but it has a lovely atmosphere. I just wish more hotels in Morocco were like Hotel Marmar.
I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
Large room, Newish decor, Nice continental breakfast, Close to bus station (5-10 min walk)
Not close to centre of town, but still walkable - but we hired a car, so was fine with us.
Excellent manager, very clean and comfortable room. Excellent bathroom. Good breakfast.
Room was much smaller than the advertised 30 square metres, and the advertised balcony did not exist.
Excellent welcome from the staff during day time but also after midnight good wi fi connection large bed And very good location close to downtown And less than 10mn to international airport
Good value for money. Short walk from Supratours station was my main reason to book this hotel, but I was positively surprised by the cleanliness of the room and the room decoration - I had a room with red walls and golden curtains. No tv in the room if someone misses that kind of things while traveling, but wifi works and there is hot water in shower. Nice staff that has a good sense of humor, extra points from that!
Very good welcome from the staff, good location, the can organise a excursion for you if you like.
Price. Easy to reach with the car.
Room could use some standard accecoires like a lambshade and place to hang clothes.
