The location in the new city is very good as the train and bus stations are within easy walking distance. The rooms are of a good size and the beds are comfortable. We were able to leave our luggage for a number of days which was a great service as we had a desert tour and had been travelling with big suitcases.
The hotel hosts a lot of group tours which clearly keeps it going - if it weren't for these I think it would struggle. The front desk staff can come across as quite serious and the breakfast staff are also not very approachable. Rooms are large but dilapidated yet beds are very comfortable. Hot water can be temperamental and the choice to put a bidet in the bathroom with the toilet in a separate room seems odd. General cleanliness is not a high priority for the hotel as bathrooms/toilets were not pristine. Breakfast is a little on the spartan side with teapots looking particular suspect. The free wifi is terrible - slow, capricious, unreliable.
ROOM WERE SUSPACIOUS
NO WI FI IN THE ROOMS AND THE ROOM TAX THAT YOU HAD TO PAY SEPERATE WITH YOUR BOOKING
Close to Marrakesh Station, many local eateries, local taxis, failrly close to Jemma El Fina, Hotel Manager (Hasna) was excellent, decent sized dinning, decent breakfast and dinner,
very noisy for rooms overlooking the main street, make sure you get rooms with pool view or back of hotel. don't expect a full variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner - it is a four star and good value for what you get.
Near train station
- Breakfast - dinner only as buffet / over priced
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic with a big balcony overlooking the Gueliz area, Highly recommend this hotel especially with children
Rooms are a good size. We had one with a balcony overlooking the pools. Not all rooms have balconies. Takes about 30 mins to walk to the medina but taxi's are cheap if you don't want to walk. Railway station is less than a 10 minute walk.
Not a licensed hotel but this is Morrocco!
I stayed alone in the hotel for one night, because I had to take the morning train from Marrakech to Tanger. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. While I was sitting in the lobby a group from Holland arrived at the hotel. They were welcomed with music (dakka Marrakechia) Moroccan thea and cookies. Which I got to taste as well. This is Moroccan hospitality! I love it. I can recommend this hotel.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, nice bed, clean, tidy, all you need! Located 1 block from the railway/bus station, and 15 min drive from the airport, this is a great spot for travellers using public transport, and also a great neighbourhood for dining or finding a bar (alcohol served in hotel bars in Morocco). We booked a standard room, but was upgraded to the suite for no extra charge (lucky, I guess). Very nice, big room, private balcony, huge bed, separate toilette and bathroom, ... the list goes on...! My #1 choice in Marrakesh.
We got the suite, what's not to like?
location good. near good good places and not to far from center
the night staff were devastating. so bad that I was going to leave the hotel after I arrived at the hotel at night .. and was given a room with only two beds and no heating..even though we had payed for an extra bed. staff ignored me.. literally. and I never slept most of the night.. in the morning the staff moved us into a good room and the stay was much better. but rather not go somewhere where some staff are nightmare material
- They have FX desk, which helps, and the rate is better than at the airport (but worse that in the city) - friendly stuff helped to organise the NY eve, however, guess they had their commissions, as it was not a nice place at all. - location is perfect, especially if you want to take the train or bus later to other cities, as it is a 5 min walk.
- They stated free wifi all over the hotel, but it is not true at all, it only works next to reception. - the breakfast was fair for one day, but to be the SAME thing for a week, it was horrible at the end. - they have old and new building, try to avoid the old one, as the new one is much better
nice staff; lots of staff actually too. prices good too. Good experience
