Staff could be more keen to help
Room wasnt as in the photos, staff were unfriendly and useless.
We stayed at this riad and can only say positive things about it! Excellent location, extremely clean and superb service! The staff goes out their way to provide comfort and make you feel at home. The owner Mr Ali is just amazing! He gives a "mini-lesson on how to navigate the medina alone. We recommend this riad 100%!
The location is fantastic, the rooms are very clean and the view on the ocean is wonderful. It has a very friendly crew and service. Also I liked the meals very much. I would recommend the hotel to everyone because it is one of the most beautiful hotels I visited.
The wifi was good but not so strong in the rooms.
Superb accommodation that is peaceful and calm in the heart of Essaouira. A beautiful Riad, that is very clean and finished to a high standard with a excellent restaurant for evening meals. Spacious rooms, lovely courtyard and roof terrace with sea view. Excellent service from the staff and owners who are always around to help plan your day.
THe Riad Mimouna was an excellent place to stay. The hotel was very clean, quiet, in spite of being located in the middle of the Medina. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, going out of their way on several occasions to help us. The food was likewise excellent. Highly recommend.
So close to everywhere and it is located next to the ocean, so with ocean view and the sound and briease of the ocean, you feel like you can stay there forever.... 4 star...
We just adored it here. The view if the ocean was breath taking. The riad is quite spectacular too, and quite big. If you are looking for peace and quite and personal space, you will find it here.
Very run down riad, feels old and out dated, not value for money, poor location, had to ask for our room to be cleaned and fresh towels, riad attempted to add on additional taxes upon check out making the total bill significantly higher that quoted by booking.com
The beautiful landscape and the architecture of the place is just amazing. Tourists were coming just to visit the place...
It is a pity it was a little bit windy during our trip so we couldn't enjoy the great terasse...It has nothing to do with the hotel.
We got a free upgrade to a mini-suite upon arrival, which was a slightly larger room. The location of this Riad is absolutely breathtaking.
The room was stunning and the view was perfect. You are right on the wall with the waves crashing beneath your window. The room was large with a nice seating area facing the floor to ceiling windows. A beautiful bathroom with shell shaped double sinks and a tub to soak in with an ample supply of hot water. The room and bath were very clean. Breakfast was hearty and very good, although once served, staff was hard to find to get a second cup of coffee, water, etc. WiFi was easy to connect.
So windy that it was impossible to leave the windows open at night - wind whistled through the older windows which did not shut tightly. This may just be a product of the time of year that we were there - first couple days of May.
The sea side rooms are fantastic! Beautiful views and sounds. Really cute location back in the alleys. Great Hotel! I Highly recommend! Breakfast was delicious, with fantastic views.
Excellent views with the seaview room. Great for the ocean and remparts of Essaouira, Very beautiful decoration
Friendly staff, great ocean-side location that is also in the middle of the old city, and received a free upgrade to an ocean-side room with a spectacular view. Nice rooftop areas with great view of the ocean and the medina. Overall a great experience.
Only downsides: large windows in the room were pretty dirty, and the room was full of flies when we first entered.
Friendly, great location great sea views very comfortable rooms.
If it had a swimming pool it would be perfect
More Boutique than traditional rhiad but nevertheless a truely lovely place to stay. We opted for a room with sea view and were not disappointed. It definitely had the wow factor.
Generous breakfast, comfortable but tired room with fantastic views.
Comfortable but in need of TLC. Failed to repair / replace faulty hair dryer
wonderful sea views
Free upgrade to suite with fascinating sea view. Very kind staff. Excellent breakfast in nice roof top restaurant. Perfect location right in the middle of the old town.
Not applicable. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel.
This was the most amazing hotel, best we stayed in in Morocco. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to one of their best rooms which was amazing, the sliding doors with the sea view were fantastic, didn't want to leave the room. Very Clean, breakfast was on the top floor again with fabulous sea views.
We were upgraded to a seaview room. The waves literally break on the walls of the Riad. The views of the huge seas breaking just out our window were fantastic. The view from the restaurant is like something from a movie set. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is hard to imagine a more stunning location which is also central to the shopping area in the medina and the beach. Treat yourself and stay here.
The beds could have been softer but this is the same in all the places we have stay.
Spectacular location. My room was right above the water and I loved watching the sunset from my balcony and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean every night. Pretty good breakfast included with the rate (served on the top floor restaurant, also with a wonderful view). Room was spacious, comfortably furnished, and nicely decorated. Though I had booked a regular room I was given a suite instead so it was a great value for the money. Overall I loved staying here.
I imagine that Riad Mimouna is a little like the house of a once-wealthy, "old money" relative who has fallen on hard times and is sliding into a state of genteel decay. It's still beautiful and stately but coming apart at the seams a little. My balcony window would not close completely and something leaked/flooded in the hall one night leaving a lake outside my door. The whole place has a faint air of damp. Odd light switch configuration. No elevator-- guests with limited mobility beware. Internet available only in the ground floor lounge and connection often poor. Luggage storage area not secured.
View is amazing.
