Location, easy to find, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Exactly what we expected in this price range.
No wifi in the room. Couldn't pay by credit card as we only stayed one night and were told the minimum payment on cards is EUR100.
Great service; delicious traditional homemade Moroccan dinner; breakfast was excellent; nice terrace; easy airport transfer arranged with friendly drivers; great value for money; mint tea on arrival; clean; hot shower; great location
WiFi wasn't great; bed wasn't the most comfortable
The owner and most of the staff were welcoming and considerate. The riad is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable
However halfway through our 5 night stay a group of noisy guests checked in, the trouble with a riad is that when people talk anywhere in the place the noise goes everywhere. This coupled with the fact that the mber of staff who takes care of the place at night changed on the weekend, the weekend guy was noisy and had loud phone conversations at 1am that woke us up. When asked to keep the volume down he responded by asking us what our problem was! This really spoilt our stay because up until that point we had loved the service and place. Of you're not sensitive to noise then I would definitely recommend this place
Nice and friendly staff. They came to pick us up at a nearby square and offered tea as soon as we arrived. We were lucky to get one of the larger rooms which had lots of space and an extra bed.The bathroom was clear. The breakfast was good. We left our suitcases for one day in the riad
Nothing much: the bed has short blankets so if there are two people there is a bit of a struggle. There are no rooms facing outside but all rooms face the inside courtyard so that means that the rooms are a bit dark and there is little privacy (you have to keep the curtains closed if you dont want people to look inside the rooms)..but I assume that this is the case of most riads
helpful friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Delightful.Would definitely recommend to tothers and stay again if we return to Marrakech.
The riad and the staff were special! Located in the middle of the medina but easy to reach, Monriad is a beautiful typical building with a astonishing roof terrace and beautiful and perfumed rooms. Breakfast is rich and various, Manuela, Barbara and all the other ladies that take care of this magic place are so nice we felt at home immediately.
Clean hotel, big room, comfy bed, very big bathroom compared to other Riads we stayed in
This was our first visit to marakech we are so glad we chose to stay here because it was safe close to to main square the staff could really not do enough to help us,as arriving late we decided to have the evening meal as well as the breakfast the evening meal was ready on our arrival & it was everything you would want warm tasty & plenty full,we would not hesitate to stay here again & if you are reading this review you will not go wrong if you book this lovely little riad,as the time of year we visited it was very very hot during the day so the added bonus of there little pool so you can cool off in was very welcoming,I must mention the night porter who would go out of his way to help you thank you to all at mon riad
I am honestly finding it hard to write any negatives about my stay at mon riad so I ain't going to
The people were so friendly and the place was lovely. So glad we stayed there!
Maybe the breakfast could have been better.
literally everything - the location is perfect, right in the middle of the Old City, but 100 ft off in a quieter street the owner, Emanuela, is absolutely amazing - changed my room and made sure I had breakfast at 4 AM for my 7 AM flight. please stay here!
The riad is located only 5 mins away from the Marrakech market. Staff are all very friendly and helpful, giving us a lot of advice. Rooms are very clean and tidy. The cleaning staff even fold our clothes and tidy up the room for us, not the usual making the bed only you see in other hotels.
We had a fantastic stay at Monriad. Manuela was extremely friendly, and from the very beginning, she gave us a lot of usefull informations. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, and we were taken care of in the most beautifull way. The Riad was situated perfect in a quiet part of the Medina, and everything was very clean. We will without no doubt choose the same Riad and will recomment it to our friends. We met the parents of Manuela, and we had a very nice conversation with them as well. Greetings to all in Monriad.
In room nr. 8 there was a nasty smell from the toilet.
It's an amazing hotel, they were all really nice and very welcoming. Make sure you book the transport from and to the airport so that you don't get lost in the medina when you arrive!
Very competent and helpful staff and owners/managers. Good location, easy walking distance to Djemaa El Fna and souks, but quiet.
Room was quite cramped, though the facilities - air-conditioning, bathroom - were good. And it would have been nice if there was some more shade on the terrace.
We received a warm welcome and were shown on a map how to get to the different souks, taxi ranks, etc. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in a good location.
Very happy indeed
Like every riad or dar it is built so you are around the main activity which means it can be noisy
Lovely staff, warm shower, twin sinks, great terrace for sunbathing, cute plungepool, delcious tagines.
Bed was a bit hard for me, although my partner loved it.
Wonderful roof terrace, very friendly staff, quite although very central.
The staff here were incredibly helpful and friendly. The riad is absolutely stunning, every single detail is just perfect. Great location in the hearth of the medina.
Really nice staffs and nice riad with great location
Litle bit noisy
Atmosphere , architecture typical and with the lovely atrium up the centre of three levels. Rooftop terrace had fabulous views and sounds of this ancient vibrant city. Close location to famous city square and once you've been in the monriad easy to find your way around the city. Very helpful and informative people all of the staff . I find Maroc and esp this place rewarding to stay in. Old traditional public ( men separate from women of course ) Hammam very close and well worth the experience... I
Thought I could find my way easily from airport at midnight, I was fine and taxis and locals extremely helpful,I am resourceful. But,I would thoroughly recommend that the first only visit to this riad , do take the arranged by riad transportation right to the hotel door , from then on you will not have any worries.. Negotiate a price for handling snakes and taking photos with the snake charmers in the square before getting too chummy with them. Again well worth it and friends for life but negotiate clearly but honestly . Fantastic city no regrets ever.......
Staff are very warm and kind. The location was exellent! Very easy to get Jamaa el Fna Square.
Need Earplug. On the other hand, feel sorry to set the alarm clock.
Lovely little riad about five minutes walk from the main square. Quite hidden, though once you learn the way it's no problem to find.. Very friendly staff, especially Lucca and Manuela, who make you feel very welcome. Decent breakfast and the option of booking for supper (which I didn't do, for no other reason than I wanted to eat out). The two lanes running up to Jemaa el-Fnaa are busy little streets (don't be fooled by the maps - they are more like alleys than roads) and you have to play dodge the scooter/donkey/tourist, but it's only a short walk from Mon Riad to the square, and from there to the souks via a glass of tea at the Cafe de France. The riad can book you a hammam at Les Bains de Marrakech - which is well worth doing (three hours of indulgence). Will def return.
No negatives at all.
The staff could not have been more helpful Great value, location and would recommend to anybody.
This comment applies to all riads in the medina. Sometimes vehicular transport to the door is not possible.TRAVELLERS DO NOT BE DETERRED BY THIS! Try to arrange a pick up by the riad and they will ensure a guide gets you to the location
