The staff was quite rude which made us feel uncomfortable. There was no hot water in our initial room and had to move. Our room was absolutely freezing! Thankfully, there were extra blankets available otherwise we would have froze (no the air conditioning was not on). Granted the hotel is quite inexpensive but I have paid less for accommodation before and have had a much more enjoyable experience. I would not go back. Side note: You have to pay an extra fee to use the safety box in your room.
Hotel was in a good location. The lobby and dining area was very Moroccan style.
The key to the door was enormous. The bathroom door did not lock as I was sharing with a friend so was uncomfortable when using the loo and shower. Taps weren't working properly and were leaking. The duvet had bobbles on it so I couldn't get to sleep comfortably. The breakfast wasn't great as I've had better in Marrakech.
I do like everything
Free upgrade to bigger lovely room with earlier check in. Breakfast buffet was good but maybe don't prepay, just pay at the restaurant if you leave early mornings and plan trips. Staff was friendly, helpful and most people spoke english or would get someone that could speak it. Great freebies in the Bathrooms ( shaver, thootpaste, shaving creme ......) Love the design and architecture of Moroccan hotel and yes the room design is moroccan too but rooms are a little run down.
No kettle. No wifi in our room so we sit in reception area for many hours to book our next 3 flights and 3 apartments but bonus reception area seating is comfy , beautiful and offers a coffee service at cost. Outside car parking we had our rent car damaged and people in the hotel did not really care, this was very stressful for us. No breakfast for us on our last day as we left before 7 am i did mention this as we payed for breakfast and got told we would get a coffee and a packed something but we did not get this. Unfortunate pool area has no wifi either. Also we did not get a welcome Moroccan tea but after seen other people getting this and mention this we did get the tea.
Location, helpful staff
Poor room maintenance
Breakfast served on the terasse and of reasonable value
Slightly over decorated making the place dark. Bathroom fittings (taps) outdated
over-the-top decor, helpful english speaking staff, good breakfast buffet, clean, felt safe and comfortable.
weak slow wifi (although better than most places that I stayed in throughout Spain and Morocco). room could use more electrical outlets.
Loved the decor and friendly, helpful staff. Location was great and I thought it was excellent value for the cost.
Not a big deal but pillows were lumpy. Hot and cold in showers was hit and miss. Breakfast was adequate but we chose not to pay the extra the last night we stayed there. There were many coffee shops close by with excellent pastries.
The staff were fantastic... They couldn't do enough for us. The bedrooms were interestingly decorated but it added to the Moroccan feel.
Sorry the breakfasts were not very inspiring.
Location, staff and good value for money
Poor Wi Fi otherwise not much
What stands out the most at this hotel is the friendly and helpful staff. They speak good english and did their best to make sure that our stay would be as comfortable as possible.
Thin walls and doors, some nights we could hear everything that was going on outside our room.
Everyone was friendly.
Pool to cold doesn't get much sun.
No wi fi in room
Very helpful and friendly staff, interesting and varied nice breakfast. Hotel is very child friendly. We had a good stay in this quirky budget family hotel. If we went to Marrakech again we would go for the full adventure and stay somewhere in the old city.
We had a problem with unwashed sheets on arrival. No storage space and a small quadruple room. Miniature balcony that was useful just to hang towels really.
no wifi in rooms. uncomfortable uneven beds. room given was below the lobby. bathroom needs to be redone, hot water suddenly gets really hot then cold.
very friendly and helpful staff!!!! Thanks again for everything!! the hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool and an authentic hammam. Traditional Riad architecture, beautifully decorated rooms, just a little cheesy;) Quiet hotel, safe neighborhood.
WLAN only in the lobby, not in the rooms.
Good value for money Well located for new town Great buffet breakfast Extra free toiletries
Staff didn't answer any emails when help was needed with bus tickets was a problem when we arrived Beds were hard
ambience and general traditional feel
the street location
Typical Moroccan style which was nice. Fantastic value for money.
It was a bit dark around the staircase.
The breakfast was excellent, a very nice hotel, spent a great time with my mom there
The doors hard to lock
Breakfast food was a wide selection of Moroccan dishes, perfectly adequate to set you up for a day of tourism. The décor may not be to every European's taste, but it presented as a traditional Raid in bright colours and busy patterns, not to be miss interpreted as tacky and garish. The four poster beds decked in leopard print suit the quirkiness of the whole building and brings a smile to tired eyes on return each evening Free open wifi was a bonus and if located near the router the signal was pretty good too. The hotel is located only about a mile from town, within walking distance for us, although the bus was also easy and costs only pennies. Alternatively taxis are available for a few pounds if you wish. Marrakesh proved to be safe both day and night and relatively easy to navigate even with the absence of signs. Restaurants in the area are available, but there are far better in town. The Beyrouth restaurant a few doors down was by far the worst being so desperate for business they have to drag you off the street if you happen to pass the door, avoid at all cost!!
We chose this hotel for its budget price, hoping that the standard would be better than the price suggests. In short, there were plenty of areas that warrant complaint, but the staff made every effort to resolve these issues as quickly as possible and over all they deserve praise for offering a cheap hotel so close to the town centre. The public areas around the hotel, reception and our rooms were clean and tidy, however the same could not be said of the bed linen. On arrival we were allocated our room, which was compact and pleasant but on inspecting the bed sheets we found marks/stains which had failed to clear in laundry. On complaint they replaced the sheets but failed to noticed that too was stained until we pointed it out. My wife inspected 3 other rooms in search of an alternative and finally found a bed with clear sheets so we could move rooms. We spoke at length to the manager the next morning alerting him of the faults in the laundry service and he upgraded us to a suite (guess what he had to change the sheets in that one too before we could take it). The problem was almost certainly from an outside contractor letting them down, but the staff still put these sheets on the beds for their clients to sleep in and although I hope the problem has been resolved we strongly recommend all future guests check carefully on arrival.
staff were great and nothing was to much for them, always ready to help with directions will go back again. Manager is very nice and helpful also. Will be going over again this year.
pool to cold it doesn't get much sun.
Very nice interieur and friendly staff. Would definetely stay there again!
Very friendly and professional staff. Excellent location.
Ordered cob for my 1yr old daughter, they had none. Ended up sleeping with the baby right between us very unconfortable for all of us. Heater very noisy
This Hotel now holds a special place in my heart, I got engaged there on the weekend. For the price it is a quirky place, rooms are quite small but sufficient. Decor is interesting but different is good on holiday! We liked the location being in the newer more modern side of Marrakech, the medina is a fair walk but its good to have a distance from all the chaos in the Medina and Square!!! Very safe area. Hotel was clean and provided all we needed from it. Tips we learnt: Exchange your money in Marrakech, not UK etc, the rate is much better! Also the taxi's at the airport are a rip off, try arrange a transfer if you can, average 100DH saving. The guide to the falls was great, but stopped at the first shop and absolutely got ripped off with items we bought, go have a good old bargain at the medina, its all there as well, in many stalls! We would have saved about 300DH even after we negotiated. And the Orika falls are nice, But if you are going to them, wear shoes for some climbing, my pumps were ruined! Hope you have a lovely trip. People there dont really steal but have crafty ways to get money out of you.
The building can seem rather dark especially the corridors going to the rooms. The bathroom could do with updating, the shower needs some viakal and a shower screen ( I have a pet hate of curtains) Breakfast was not great but for the price what do you expect, plus I think its just our Brit diet that caused us to put our nose up at the sweet pastry and jams etc. All depends what you like I suppose.
