A 2-minute walk from Toubkal National Park, this hotel features typically Moroccan architecture.

Located in the village of Imlil, the Riad Atlas Toubkal features 2 terraces with views of the Atlas Mountains. You can relax in the hammam and free Wi-Fi access is provided in the public areas.

problems with the shower temperature and water power.
Olive gardens, bar, the open fire in the room and restaurant.
Pool not heated as advertised and no sign of pizzas. Got 2 earl grey tea bags for 2 nights for 2 people for the kettle. Food is expensive for the quality and menu didn't change much. Must be the only place in morocco not selling a lamb or chicken tagine. No WiFi in rooms is good for a complete break but impractical when keeping an eye on a business, however fine in advertised areas.
Stunning location, mist comfortable bed we had in Morocco. Very reasonable alcohol prices, best of the trip. Beautiful poolside area.
Ideally wifi in the rooms (it's a long walk to reception) and room service
Beautiful location, huge grounds, relaxed and friendly
The wifi did not work in the bedrooms which was a shame - it would only work around the immediate bar area.
WiFi only available at the Grass Hut, no phone in rooms to be able to ask for anything, no tea/coffee making facilities in the bungalows. Fireplace was not always lit up so was a bit cold at times.
The grounds were fantastic, lovely staff and staying in bungalows spread around the property. It was nice and quiet. Loved the Hammam spa and food at lunch times was good. Location is good if you just want a quiet holiday and to hike nearby. If you want a town atmosphere then this isn't for you as Asni is about 10km away and Imlil is about 25km away. Laundry service available onsite (great value). Would stay here again, but in the warmer months!
Food choice was a bit restrictive, and staying at this hotel, you have no choice but to eat here really. Quality of food was varied.
The location is great for views of mountains and ever-changing skies. Great swimming pool (which we didn't use, but it looked great!), Real olive trees being harvested whilst we were there. Large grounds to wander around in. Deluxe chalet was worth it for the lounging area. Wonderful private terrace with a great view. Friendly and helpful staff
1) Not so “superior” room The only upgrades of a superior room are more floor space and a kettle, but no cups or tea, coffee etc. “Free toiletries” means one 100ml bottle of shampoo and shower gel (no hand soap, conditioner etc.) which were never replenished during our stay, neither were the two 250ml bottles of water provided. Wardrobe too small for a dress. Disappointing for a “resort”. 2) Mediocre food The breakfast was poor and the resort rules said it finished at 11:00 but we were told off for arriving at 10:40 and our food selection was limited. The dinner was expensive, underwhelming and mostly European dishes (typically only one Moroccan dish on the menu) but there are better restaurants nearby, e.g. Moha Tirste and Tatfi Atlas. 3) All personal drinks are forbidden We brought bottles of water because tap water is undrinkable, but these were forbidden as everyone must buy them from the bar. Eventually we were allowed the water but were fined for having other personal drinks (they searched our bins every day). They claimed this rule was on their website but we could not find it and the resort rule book is unclear. 4) Overcharged bill and intimidation to accept it At checkout, our bill included many drinks that we had not ordered. When we queried this error, one of the managers became incredibly angry. He shouted at us, insulted us, threatened us, banged his fist and swore at us. It was claimed that a waiter (who did not appear) recalled selling us six beers in one order – despite there being only two of us! In the end, the spurious drinks were removed but only after an hour of dispute and without an apology or acknowledgement of error. This behaviour was disgraceful and made the final night of our honeymoon a terrorising experience – my wife cried herself to sleep and I stayed awake all night scared that he would return to act out his threats.
Amazing views of the Atlas Mountains (although they are too far away to hike). Beautifully decorated grounds with two swimming pools (although both were freezing cold). Generally clean room (except for the winter blanket). The hammam is good and you get a good scrub down and massage (if you pay for the full package).
Having to leave.
Oven baked pizza, our beautiful room and simply stunning surroundings.
The whole ambiance was wonderful with your own chalet amongst olive trees. Spa was lovely along with the food, pools, service and grounds ,
The only small complaint that I would make is re tours that come through for lunch etc. The place is very peaceful and secluded but one of the groups were using the pool and they were quite loud and disruptive. A lot of the guests staying there left the pool area to get away from it.
This was a lovely place to stay. The facilities are great and the staff were very friendly.
- One incident with a local staff member (based on the manager, it's an isolated case). - Be ready to fight the insects before going to bed. Might be important for some: no TV and no Wifi in rooms.
- The location is amazing with stuning landscapes. - The pools and spa are excellent. - Very good food (1 or 2 exceptions)
Don't follow the recommendation in the guide book that there are mountain bikes available as this is not the case, however there are plenty of other things to do.
Bungalows were very comfortable, clean and the bathrooms were excellent. There is a lot of privacy and a fantastic nights sleep. There are two very nice pools, including one which is very peaceful and secluded. There are lots of things to do like treks and walks from the hotel which are great. Most of all the food is absolutely fantastic.
No water with breakfast
Wide open environment - no walls to obstruct the views. Friendly, happy, helpful staff. Excellent guide for trekking. 3 pools Good food. Accommodation in individual bungalows.
A beautiful hotel in a perfect setting, this was the ideal break after 5 days in Marrakech. It's definitely worth doing a trek in the mountains to see the salt mines and Berber villages. The pools are very comfortable and the staff are all friendly. We had good food, and the cabins/bungalows are spacious and clean.
Quality of food at dinner could improve
Very friendly owners with a personal touch . Lovely big rooms , gorgeous pool.
The food was good, but not perfekt.
It's a amazing location and realy relaxing!
No negative comments at all!
Beautiful place just an hour drive from Marrakech. The hotel is in great shape and the gardens are stunning. The rooms are very comfortable and you get a lot of privacy in you own litlle bungalow in the middle of the olive trees. The pefect place to be near nature and relax by the pool. We enjoyed trekking in the mountains in the morning and returning to our private paradise in the afternoon to enjoy lunch by the pool. The couple in charge of the place is adorable and the atmosphere is really cool!
We felt the whole experience of staying here was wonderful... we have only a few suggestions which could improve the overall stay: An extra cabinet for storage in the bedrooms; More variety in the breakfast menu; The opportunity to take just one course from the set menu for hotel guests / or more basic salads and sandwiches.
The tranquility, picturesque gardens, friendly service, cleanliness, facilities in the rooms, tasty food, fabulous swimming pools all make L'Oliveraie De Marigha the most wonderful destination. The Atlas Mountains, visible in every direction are stunning - a fabulous backdrop from the terrace where meals are served throughout the warmer months. The rustic charm experienced here is so vastly different from the city. With the capability of trekking into the mountains and seeing Berber Village, or taking in the experience of the Asni Souk on a Saturday this hotel is perfectly situated for the odd day trip. Providing table tennis, petanque and mini golf as well as the pools, young and old alike can enjoy the facilities. The on site Hammam was a great experience - followed by a relaxing massage by an experienced masseur we were impressed. The set menus offered an interesting mix of Moroccan/ Mediterranean food, with a vast range of pizzas being available. This place is definitely worth a visit - we only wish we could have stayed longer!
breakfast a tad bit frugal, lunch and evening menu to ambitious. Should rather stick to simple and local cuisine. Director smoking in front of guests
suberb location in the mountains, very clean and friendly and helpful staff
I can't think of anything at all that I did not like about this place - as long as you want peace and relaxation then it's great. They don't have much in the way of on site entertainment, so probably not great for families with young children.
The location is perfect for trekking into the hills, and only 90 minutes drive from Marrakech. The accommodation is nicely spaced out and each chalet is surrounded by olive trees which give one a sense of privacy. The rooms are air conditioned, the beds are comfortable and the shower worked well. The restaurant area is beautifully situated looking out over the pool with the Atlas mountains as the backdrop. The food was good, if a little expensive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and helped us to make the most of our stay in the area. Overall this is a great antidote to the heat and bustle of Marrakesh, very pretty and chilled and I would definitely recommend L'Oliveraie to friends.
