Location; in the new part of town, but still close enough to the Medina to walk.
Uncomfortable single bed. I had a 3 night stay, the first 2 nights being part of an organised tour, the last being an additional night I booked. I requested a double bed on my last night, but was told by the rear reception (there were two receptions) that there were no rooms available... which was clearly a lie as my tour group had left, & some of them had double beds. And the breakfast room was rather on the empty side the next morning, so they were hardly fully booked.
the location is excellent, apart from that, not so good.
the poor service. the pool is located around a restaurant, who would go in for a dip?? the pool(uselss) made the hotel more expensive than it should.
Stayed in supposed villa looked like it had not been used or cleaned for 3 years. White rug was black. Toilet leaked. It stunk of damp & mould. Got another room for 2nd night that was only slightly better. At least the sheets seemed clean. Could not wait to get out of the place. Staff were rude & abusive. Treated my wife like a 2nd Tate citizen. Very expensive for a dump.
Location was good if you want to be near the new city area
Dirty rooms, cold, old furnishings - I did not want to touch anything, drains smelt bad. Sign indicated you are not allowed to bring softdrinks into the rooms! Staff did not accept the info on the booking.com form on email and tried to charge extra. I felt like I was being scammed. 3 staff members were very rude and demanded me to stay and speak to the manager. I refused and left. A lot of groups were here, so it is built more for them than others. Wifi was really patchy and bad.
It was very clean, the hotel area and architecture is beautiful, the bed was comfortable and it was very calm. The offered tours to Valley Ourika and Essaouira were really good. The hotel was worth its price.
The breakfast (olives, bread, marmelade, juice, cooked eggs, croissants) did never change and sometimes the plates or glasses were not clened properly so that you could e.g. still see old lipgloss. The keys opened several rooms instad of only mine. I got a phone call at 2 am from a man who knew I was alone in my room claiming I had won a free breakfast and asking me to go to the reception immediately, As the phone system is so old, the hotel could not find out who it was, only that it was from a private room. WiFi was only working close to the reception and only very slowly. There were no real non smoker room.
Asked for a map and told they didn't have any, then my friend got one the next day.
Facilities were good, enjoyed the pool and the shop in the hotel was very good...and cheaper than the markets. The was a bar in the hotel also.
We got a larger room than what we had ordered (there was an extra room with other 2 beds). The room had lots of light and two nice balconies. Breakfast is really nice, a bouffet with many things. Probably the best I had during my trip
The bed was hard. It is a bit overpriced.
swimming pool and room looking over it,
staff was rude and not welcoming. We had to request to change the room as it was ground floor and not used for ages. We had after nice ones looking over swimming pool.
Near to the main shopping area.
The drainage system is bad, there's always a stench in the room. Weak WIFI signal only available at reception.
The hotel was a fairly easy 10 mins walk from the train station and also the supratours bus stop. The hotel had a pool that we did not use but it looked a good size. We could easily walk to nice restaurants in the new town.
We were quoted the price in Euro through Booking.com, when we arrived we were given a unfavourable rate when the hotel converted this to mhd. The bathroom needed a makeover, the airconditioner did not work well. Only internet in the lobby.
The hotel is very big with a nice swimming pool. Good and clean room with a/c. We didn't try the restaurant.
Just the staff not very friendly.
Close to many Caffes and Restaurants along Boulevard Mohammed V.
Front desk staff are not very helpful. They dont seem to understand that guests are paying for their stay. May be they are not sufficiently trained how to make their guests feel welcome.
Good location especially for one who would like to be close to the train station, About 8mins walking distance. Good pool and seating... Lots of people were lying by the pool when we arrived which was nice. Lots of areas to relax. Good price for the triple room, kind of small but enough room for us. Cafe is reasonably priced, around the same as other cafes in the area. And it was fairly quite.
I recommend printing a copy of booking before coming otherwise it can be a semi drama. also the room was not ready when we arrived (booking said check in from 1pm, we checked in at 3pm and adviced them of this time prior to arrival) however, they did make up the room quite quickly.
Comfortable hotel in la ville nouvelle, modern part of Marrakech and a lot more comfortable and relaxed to stay in than the medina. Very easy to take a taxi to the main square (if you are prepared to haggle a bit), otherwise a 25min walk will bring you there too. Many restaurants, drinks and ice cream places in the area. Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is basic but nice (bread, jam, boiled eggs and fresh orange juice mainly).
Pool not 100% clean and very cold (too cold to really enjoy)
Great position for catching buses into the main square. Walking distance to train station (about 10 minutes walk). Also walking distance to modern shopping centre. Lots of great little cafes in surrounding streets.
There were cockroaches in my room, the staff were not helpful to the point of being rude, the powerpoints in my room didn't work, nor did the television. There are plenty of hotel options in the same area - I would advise to look elsewhere.
The location of Hotel Oudaya is excellent, just off a main road with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops and its also really close to the bus and train stations. The hotel was really clean and the staff were very pleasant. The swimming pool was a big bonus as temperatures did reach 43 degrees during our stay.
I couldn't fault this hotel
The staff are lovely Location is good
Rooms are dated
Lack of Wi-Fi in Oudaya 1.
Lovely clean simple rooms and terrific pool. The location was great with a supermarket across the road for those little necessities. It was a 5-10 taxi ride to the Medina but no probs. Loved loved the pool - a little cool still but early in season
For the size and quality of the hotel, the price was great. Our rooms had balconies that looked down on the pool area. The pool was clean and not crowded. Located in the middle of the new town, it was close to shopping, cafés and restaurants. We will definitely return here.
The breakfast buffet offered a lot of food but the quality, including the coffee, was not great. Instead we went around the corner and got a fabulous Moroccan breakfast for about the same price. Wifi was available only in the lobby.
No access to the internet in the rooms. Breakfast was fair.
Great place to get out of medina. Or overnight to catch a plane.
patio and pool area are nice
