- Abdul and all the staff were really kind and flexible to any of our exsigence. -From the breakfast terrace and the restaurant you can enjoy a great view of the Medina. -Tour guides recommended from the Hotel were good, safe and cheap.
Amazing place and decoration, super polite staff, delicious breakfast and dinner, central location - what would you like more for a weekend in Fes?!
- the staff cares really about the clients, especially Samira, always friendly and with useful advise. -the location and the palace atmosphere of the building; -excellent food at the restaurant but a bit expensive;
Meryem Room -the bathroom is divided in two: on one side of the bedroom, the shower and sink; on the other side, the toilet . the toilet is small , your knees are squashed up against the toilet door . Very inconvenient! -sewer smell coming from a bathroom sink;
The breakfast was fantastic. The building, the view, the room, decorations - everything was wonderful. The girl Nadjya (we think that's her name), who served us breakfast, was very sweet and kind. The guy Issa was extremely helpful as well. Samira was also very nice!
Too many stairs to get up to the room. The bathroom is divided in two: on one side of the bedroom, we find the shower and sink; on the other side, the toilet. Very inconvenient! Don't accept the official guide offer at the hotel. We paid 250dhn to be taken mostly into shops where we were extremely pressured into buying things. On the other hand, we had an amazing experience with an "unnoficial guide" we met in the medina - he took us to incredible places tourists don't usually get to see and we got in close touch with their culture. Unfortunatelly, we noticed part of the staff became much less friendly with us once they saw us with the unnoficial guide.
Welcome part was amazing,with local tea and cookies. Hotel has incredibly beautiful terrace with restaurant and city view.
beautiful hotel interior
too high price to pay for the additional bed
The location and the palace atmosphere of the building was amazing and of course the brakfasts, the evening meals and the live music accompany it, The last but not least, The hotel manager and the gorgeous hotel personel wake up at 04.00 a.m. for serving the breakfast for four people and to say goodbye..!!
location was excellent to old Medina, restaurants, staff was incredibly helpful and spoke English very well! Ryad was beautiful: rooms were lovely, restaurant on top was worth the climb for the view; servers were wonderful in preparing food my daughter would eat and preparing dishes for us without meat
Incredible atmosphere in this old palace, stunning views from the terrace, excellent food at the restaurant, helpful staff
The guide booked by the hotel was working for commissions on sales in the souk
Warm welcome from Rita the manager when we reached the place. Nice welcome drink of Moroccon mint tea.
No elevator in this hotel which may cause difficulties for senior guests.
The riad was tastefully decorated in traditional moroccan style with attention to detail. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived we were served complimentary mint tea and cakes. The breakfast was excellent. So much variety and beautifully presented-this really set us up for the day. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace - magnificent views. I would definitely recommend this riad.
Loved the cheerfulness of the staff, the dinner music and the generous servings of delicious food.
The location and the decoration is great. The food is good, too.
There was a live music at the terrace at night so it made a bit hard to fall asleep.
Staff is excellent, especially Samira, always friendly and with useful advise.
All was excellent.
Almost every thing
The tour guide which was recommended by the house was horrible and made us as prey for the shops aiming for his percentage from what we buy
The staff was gracious and accommodating. All of our needs were attended to like a four star hotel. The Palais dates to the 1200s and has a beautiful ambience and yet is modernized for comfort. We had our best Moroccan dinner there. It is inside the medina on one of the only streets with cars (the road was added about 30 years ago). We enjoyed the rooftop views of the medina. The mint tea was the best we had and the staff kindly taught me how to make it. They called a good taxi for us (hard to come by).
There are a lot of narrow stair cases with extra big steps and without rails. This was good exercise but could be problematic for disabled or frail people.
Beautiful. Great hospitality. The old Morocco you imagine from the movies.
I didn't realize how many stairs would be there and my mother has a bad knee. But it is understandable because the building is centuries old.
The staff were very friendly but the food serice was very very slow.
A magical experience. Wonderful building with great views of old Fes. Lovely staff. Great food. Highly recommended.
Nothing but be aware that there are lots of stairs with no handrail and there is no elevator. You need to phone ahead if you want valet parking - the public parking lot is a long walk away and the hotel is not on a street.
Beautiful view over the old city, Nice roof terrasses, our room also had a beautiful view. Good breakfast. In the middle of the medina. Nice old typical arabic building.
The stuf was very kindly, helped us a lot to see around the Fes. Nice interior design of the riad, excellent location.
Terrific location just outside the medina but very close to Bab Er Cif, so you can get a cab easily. Amazing food at the restaurant, awesome views of Fez and surroundings, and the building itself is literally a palace so it couldn't be more beautiful. Very attentive staff.
Only one person on staff speaks English, which isn't really a problem if you know French or Arabic. Not a good hotel for anyone who can't walk up several flights of stairs.
Palais de Fès isn't just a luxury riad, but it is a heaven for people who want to have a timeless serenity. Ideally located in the medina, just very few stepq away from all the most important attractions of the beautiful medina(old city). Amazing staff and management, value for money is incredible and the food was unforgettable, it was so delicious that we were eating in house everyday. Honestly, Palais de Fès is an unforgettable experience that i recommend to anyone of you who want to discover the jewels of Fès in a place where luxury meets history.
I had such a great time in this amazing place. Everything was great... The dishes are exquisite, The manager (miss ghita taxi) was always present And was very bothered about the confort of their guests. I felt myself very good at this place and it will be a pleasure to come back an other day. I recommend this place to anyone looking at visiting fes and discovering the diversity of the Moroccan culture.
