Staying by the pool away from the rest!
Staffs were rude, 3hs for checking in. Then our rooms were wrong and we have to wait another 45 min. As gesture of good will we received old fruits with house wine ( as you I can imagine we didn't drink) The buffet by 10 am was full...of flies! The fiasco continued throughout our stay with the continental breakfast more like a B&B from Algeria ( do check when they say it's included because it will show up on your Bill...as extra). If you are planning to visit the bar be prepare for a surprise. It won't be good service but instead cockroaches crawling out of your nuts and then the waiter killed her with our glass...and left there for us to do the burial! By now you will understand why we left the hotel on the Middle of our stay!
We stayed in the Executive rooms in the golf clubhouse. These are mini suites with large balconies and great views over the course. Free wifi. Hurrah! And while it was a bit patchy (FaceTime calls very difficult), it was quite adequate for day-to-day stuff.
A problem with the drains caused a stink for a day or so. Pun intended.
the room comfort breakfast
some areas of the hotel are getting old. breakfast staff not sufficient and fast enough to prepare omlette and crepes.
The bedroom and comfortable bed
We ( 3 couples) arrived to check in at 5.15 in the afternoon and it actually took 3 hours to have our bedroom. You can imagine our disappointment and frustration when on the website they are telling you that we can check in from 3 in the afternoon. I even called 3 days before arrival to make sure that everything was fine with the booking. I would have rather them being honest and say straight away that they were overbooked and go out for dinner... Instead of waiting for 3 hours at the reception. they haven't offered us any drink... but after such a long wait we decided to go in the bar of the hotel. They offered some peanuts which to our horror a cockroach came crawling from the pot. We then ask the batman to do something and his reply was : it is not my problem. So we killed it and the staff behind the bar refused to take it out from the bar and bin it. How hygienic was that! The place itself is nice but the staff at the reception are so unprofessional, rude. It is obvious that this hotel is way too big and they do not know how to deal with such a big capacity. Each time we were passing by the reception we could see people complaining every single day. They have to do something about the staff at the reception or they just need to change their system. May be less booking as they clearly do not know how to deal with. What a shame! Will definitely not go back there
Great value for money - we were on business and have a cap on our expenses so were really surprised that we could afford such luxurious surroundings. The rooms were beautiful; I wish I could have stayed longer!
It was a bit far from the main city. There is a shuttle bus, but it only went one way, and only till early evening so we had to get a taxi back - prices varied greatly. A pity the shuttle didn't run to the airport.
Excellent staff especially Safia and Keltoun who went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable.
The gym was so far away from the hotel, that it half the exercise was walking to the gym and back. Very few of the staff were bilingual.
Fab facilities. Helpful staff. Colonial feel. Would come back
Water leaked on the floor When using shower and safe would not close
Bedroom Size Cleanliness Views Grounds
Shower did not work Wifi was extremely poor Staff were slow No response from various services, i.e. Housekeeping
The room are very nice and the staff they very helpful
Very nice location ,staff very friendly and nice.
Checkout process was quite slow there was big queue for checkout.
I loved the plushness of the hotel, it was quite luxurious for a moderate price.
Some of the staff were not hospitable. Also room service would not answer OR take your order and never arrive. I'm not sure if that's due to the language barrier I had with them but several other English speaking guests had this same issue.
This hotel should be closed for renovation..Nice location but terrible services and very aging facilities...
The gardens, the room decoration, hotel cabs.
Dirty towels, very disapointing for a 5 stars hotel.
Room was nice and comfortable bed
The hotel was far from everything so a round trip to the town centre or main restaurants was anything between 40 - 50 €. The staff was poor and slow
Pool was great for kids, breakfast buffet was enjoyable.
Lack of restaurants, limited kids menu.
The view from the room at Golf Club hotel was stunning and had a nice terrace but was isolated from the main hotel.
Staff were very friendly and smiley - but totally incompetent. Nothing ever came that was ordered for the room, and the list in the room was not available - also room service did not exist after six as no one answered the phone. The map of the resort that we were given was so out of date most of the restaurants did not still exist. Went to the very expensive French restaurant and were the only couple there, which was just as well because even when I checked and double checked that reservations had been made for other restaurants, car transfers etc, they still had not been, so - no table - no hotel vehicle available etc. We spent over £2,000 for five days here and did not really feel we had had a five star experience. it also rained for a the first few days - not their fault obviously, but struggled to find things to do if you can't play golf and have gone prune like in the spa.
The offer of restaurants and clubs
The rooms need to be renewed
Staff could be very slow at times
