The landlady was extremely friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. Her husband drove us to the bus station when we left. The flat was very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed our stay there.

Very friendly people, very good location, much room, very clean. The best place to be.

I think the room could get a lot more atmosphere by some table or floor lamps and a warmer lighting. And I was a little bit disappointed that although there were 3 balconies, all of them were too small to sit.

We moved to La Galiote after a very disappointing night's stay at a riad in Essaouira. How things improved! A warm and friendly welcome from the proprietress; an offer of a second or third-floor apartment - we chose the second floor as its wifi reception was stronger; a light, airy and spacious apartment with sea-views (and sunset) from the lounge area (comfortable chairs and a settee, T.V., pictures on the walls, nice ornaments etc), and the front bedroom - there was a second bedroom which gave us "dressing room" space; a well-equipped kitchen with a big frig and a three-burner hob (no oven). Big shower with the curtain far enough away not to stick to the showerer! Towels etc changed as often as we wished. Any additional equipment, Madame was happy to provide. Nearby, there was a mini-market, local restaurants and, at the end of the street, a drinks shop - wine, beer and spirits, including the terrific eau de vie de figues from Essaouira. Ten minutes to the medina, ten minutes the other way to windsurfing, camels and horse-riding. We felt completely safe there, even though other reviewers have commented on the nature of the street in which La Galiote was situated.

There was nothing we disliked.

The rooms were very spacious and furnished well with local art work and crisp clean linnen. The bedrooms and kitchen all had balconies,so it was ideal for a sunny breakfast or evening glass of wine. The owners/reception staff were very friendly and helpfull and replenished the towels/linnens as often as we needed, The location was geat for the beach and only 10 mins walk into the souk,it also has a nice roof terrace if you wish to relax away from the beach, we would recommed to friends and family and hope to return next summer.

The apartment was very close to the beach, only 2 min walk. The apartment was very nice and had a big roof terrace. The old medina with restaurants was 10 min away. Wifi in the room was very good.

I have never complained about a bed before, but this is the hardest bed I have ever slept in. In the kitchen there were only one plate, one knife, one fork and one spoon for each person (we were 4) and there were no glasses or anything we could use to wash up. So we had to buy a lot of things to just stay for a few days. And we also had to struggle to get 4 towels, one for each person, because the hotel manager said there were towels in the room, even though we said it wash´t. So she had to follow us up to make sure. In 5 days we got one roll of toilette paper and one small soap, so we had to buy this also, even though it is said on the hotel page that there are free toiletries. But as I understood, they have just started renting out these apartments, so hopefully this will get better when they have had more guests there.

La résidence se trouve dans un quartier non sécurisé et dans lequel se trouvent pas mal de marginaux qui agressent les touristes. Le ménage n'est jamais fait même si c'est facturé, les serviettes ne sont jamais changées malgré ce qui est affiché sur le site Booking ! La gérante nous a fait payer un prix plus élevé que ce qui a été annoncé et elle a refusé de nous délivrer la facture. Grande déception et ne mérite pas de figurer sur les listes de booking.com

Taxichauffeur had moeite het apartement va. Het busstation te vinden. Lopen had met weinig bagage achteraf ook goed gekund. Vooraf even oriënteren op kaart.

Qualités humaines des propriétaires, très chaleureux et aimables. On se sent comme à la maison, établissement super propre et d'un calme exceptionnel.

J'aurai souhaité que le prix soit plus accessible pour pouvoir passer plus de temps.

Appartement conforme à la description, d'une propreté irréprochable et décoré sobrement mais avec goût.Les propriétaires sont charmants. Rien à redire c'était absolument parfait. Adresse à garder précieusement, nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir. A recommander.

-La situation géographique: proche des lieux touristiques tout en privilégiant le calme -La propreté des lieux ainsi que la décoration sobre et accueillante -les équipements suffisants pour un bref séjour -un accueil efficace

Un tout petit moins: la situation en 2ème accès pas facile à trouver mais la propriétaire nous a très bien diriger par téléphone

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Het appartement was blinkend schoon en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig inclusief beddengoed en een grote stapel heerlijke handdoeken. Zeer goede internetverbinding.

Les appartements "La Galiote" sont très bien situés. A 5 minutes à pied de la médina et 50 mètres de la plage (bien pour le kitesurf), ces appartements tout équipé sont situés dans un endroit calme offrant un grand confort et une vue mer exceptionnelle... Nous n'oublierons pas l'accueil chaleureux de ces propriétaires, Naima et Abdelkhalek toujours prêts à vous aider et à vous donner de bons conseils sur les choses à voir et à faire à Essaouira. Après des vacances de 10 jours dans cette ville, nous recommandons ces appartements qui n'ont que le mérite à se faire connaître.

Bel appartement bien équipé, vue sur l'Océan et Mogador.

De eigenaresse was bijzonder vriendelijk en hartelijk en deed er alles aan om het haar gasten helemaal naar de zin te maken.

bergruimte ( weinig kasten/plankjes e.d. om bagage/proviand op kwijt te kunnen. ) Hotel lag aan niet geasfalteerde straat. Wel mooi uitzicht op zee.

Nice hotel appartment, very clean, room & bed international standard, well equipped kitchen, near to all place. Staff very gentle . Can see trees and sea from room. Quite.

No road outside hotel but only piste. Be careful we you drive in.

Un accueil chaleureux même si arrivée en plein milieu de la nuit, appart spacieux avec un excellent équipement donnant directement sur la baie d'essaouira, proximité immédiate du centre, rien à dire très bon rapport qualité/prix

Lors de notre arrivée, la patronne de l'établissement est venue nous chercher à un endroit très facile d'accés afin que nous puissions trouver facilement l'établissement. Une personne charmante. Lors de notre arrivée dans la chambre une merveilleuse surprise : une vue magnifique sur la plage, la chambre très claire, le mobilier est simple mais de très bon goût, très propre. Très confortable, et agréable c'est vraiment un appartement à conseiller. De plus dans peu de temps la terrase pleine vue mer sera ouverte avec des chaises et transats je crois, un moment encore merveilleux à prévoir !!! Très bien situé à peine 2 minutes à pied de la plage et très prés de la Médina (même à pied) endroit très calme et tranquille. Vraiment à recommander !!!

La résidence est idéalement placée, en face de la plage, pas loin du spot de kite et non loin de la Médina. La vue de la chambre est superbe et la terrasse est au top, en espérant que rien ne se construise devant l'immeuble. L'accueil est au top. Nous y retournerons.
