Fantastic 3 bedroom villa with private pool. Very secluded and peaceful. Really felt like an oasis of tranquility. Very spacious villa tastefully decorated and very romantic. This residence has the wow factor and we all loved it.
Ant problem needs dealing with. Remote location. Internet did not work. Would have been good to have a welcome pack in the villa with a list of things to know re the villa and complex. Also the option to purchase an amenity or welcome pack such as milk and water etc if you are going to arrive late as it is means getting a taxi to the nearest supermarket when you are tired. Would recommend hiring a car
some staff are very friendly.
telephone is out of order so cannot get a morning call. ask waiter to knock the door to weak me up. my friend even could not call me when he had an accident and cannot come to pick me up. when I complain to the owner about it she replied that " Oh you have no cell phone to set arm clock? " There was no trash back, no tissue paper so I had to go to super market to buy it. on top of it , coffee maker was there without pot in entire stay when I mentioned it I was told made forget to set it so I had to ask. one day a made did not change the towels on purpose and just fold it such as wet towels as if fresh ones and put it on the box and hangs though I was the only one giving more than enough tips every single days. I was furious and had to tell her to change it. there are no really the front desk and so no one is that room... whenever we need something have to ask cafeteria waiter for check out, payment, information etc... they have only one small cafeteria there for break first, lunch, dinner and drink as bar.... food is just OK not many choices and yet very expensive based on that qualities..
50% of what i've seen in the pictures is not what i got at the front desk ....
Beautiful looking hotel, friendly staff, lovely pool. Rooms look great. Good spa.
Unfortunately we had a few issues. Moved room first time due to broken door. Cockroach problem in next room and actually in both rooms we were put in (8 of them comming out the toilet). Moved back to room with less cockroaches. A lot of disruption moving late at night. Bar staff even once handed my partner the cockroach spray to kill them himself which we felt wasn't up to standard! One day we had no water comming out of any taps so couldn't flush the chain. Then later when water did come out it was brown coloured. It is a shame because other than that the hotel is lovely, maybe we were just unlucky.
service and friendliness of staff quality of room accommodation quality of grounds location away from hustle & bustle of central Marrakech price
food & drink was overpriced and menu slightly limited internet not work during stay limited number of parasols near pool
If you are looking for an oasis just outside the busy city, this is where you should be. The staff will welcome you with open arms and a nice cup of Moroccan tea. Every morning we were provided with a delicious breakfast and then moved on to the lovely pool. The owners are extremely nice and they are full of tips for dinner in the city. They even made a reservation for us every night. We were very pleased with the choice of Dar Lamia and will definitely be back! Special thanks to Abdel and Mustafa for their great care, hospitality and companionship. With love, Ici and Rose
