The breakfast, while delivered with charm to our room, could have included something more than Moroccan bread and pastries.
The accommodations were perfect. Clean, quiet and very comfortable. Nice sitting area with fireplace lit on command by very accommodating staff. Yassine, the manager went out of his way to ensure our every request was met with perfection.
One small thing was the close proximity of the local mosque and morning prayers waking us up at 5.30am...
The style of both interior and exterior was outstanding. The service was flawless, everything delivered straight to the room, even the dinner for weary travellers like us upon request :) 100% worth recommendation
- The decoration. (It's nice for someone who prefer very strong color though. But if you like more subtle and minimal interior, this hotel is not for you.) - The toilet and shower in the same box, quite messy when you take a shower - The praying sound from the nearby mosque between 4:30 to 5:30 in the morning (might not happen every morning but it unfortunately happened the night we stayed) - Cash only when check-out. (Cash-only was stated in the reservation, but we didn't see it till we had to pay.)
- Short distance to the medina - Friendly reception girls
The one thing I don't like with this place is the small bathroom, the toilet is simply next to the shower with no separation at all, there is no table top to put any toilet amenities and therefore quite inconvenient. I trust the sewage may have some issue that the bathroom carry some smell.
The set up is like an apartment that you have a kitchen apart from living room, bedroom and bathroom. The decoration is carrying the Arabic / Berber theme as well as the blue tone of Chefchaouen. Regarding location, it's roughly 10 minutes walk to the medina and cost Dh15 for taking a taxi from the CTM bus station to this hotel. Bed is comfortable and staff are helpful. Wifi at good speed.
the room is really nice. and staff is helpful and friendly. They gave us a lovely gift when we were leaving. Strong recommended !
nice and helpful staff, parking near by, full kitchen ,easy access to medina, very pleasant stay.
Incredible room, very well decorated with views to the mountains. Breakfast delivered straight to your room. Wifi available in the room, with very good conection. Staff very helpful and nice. All around, one of the best experiences I had in a hotel.
the room is cold during winter time. ask the staff for the fire and turn on the heater
so close to the old town and the staff is super nice!
Suggestions only: Maybe a bit more firewood in the room. Few more cooking tools would be handy. Tea & coffee making facilities would be great also.
Rooms were gorgeous, staff ultra helpful & kind. Breakfast served in rooms was really generous & delicious. Having your own fireplace was a real treat!
no lift, but one slim lady carried my big luggage to the 3rd floor!!
it's amazing that we can stay in such a lovely, marvelous, fascinating hotel at a reasonable price!! I regretted to stay there just one night. the room was enough big, had a bedroom, living room and kitchen individually. I met some staff during my short stay, all of them were so kind and so friendly as well as people in chaouene. I'd like to come back here to stay longer next time.
The only thing I can think of to change would be the joint toilet/shower set-up... felt cramped and a little strange. But I understand it's simply a factor of the old building design. Perhaps a partition would help? This is minor though, and did not dent what was a fantastic stay at Chez Aziz!
I can't say enough good things about this place. Exquisite rooms, wonderful staff, delicious breakfast (brought to you in your room!)... it was just magical. Stay here, you won't regret it.
This hotel is top notch! We loved our stay. The rooms are gorgeously decorated in traditional Moroccan style. The staff were great - super helpful and efficient. The rooms were cleaned beautifully everyday. Having a fireplace was perfect for the winter time and was lovely to have the host setting & lighting it. The breakfast brought to the room everyday was beautifully presented and generous. Parking easy & free. We parked our car on the street directly outside the door of the hotel. We were able to order pizza & delicious juices via the reception & they were delivered super quickly. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the walls of the old town and there are plenty of services available nearby.
Yassin and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. They waited for us at the mosque so we could easily find the way to the hotel. The app. Was clean, big, very nice decorated, the breakfast was very good. We have got all the information about the old town, restaurant Aladin was really nice. We would like to come again! Yassin , shukran!
Very nice hotel with amazingly big rooms. Owner very friendly, he even gave us a cake as a present for new year's eve. Definitely a great place and also great location just outside of the medina!
Manager seemed truly committed to making our stay optimal.
Air conditioning The ac didn't work as per expectation. It didn't warm up the room enough. We had a poor sleep for the first night. Yasin was a helpful manager. He put the fireplace on but it was not enough, rather the whole apartment was filled with smoke which itched the eyes. Breakfast No option for fruits, although served at room.
Amazing decor, fairytale, best in town. Staff very helpful, friendly. Yassin and Amina. Just 5 minutes walk to one of the gates of the Medina, convenient location.
Possibly the most gorgeous room I've ever stayed in -- ornate decorations, beautiful view, cozy feel. The staff went out and got us firewood for our fire place on a rainy day, and even gave us a parting gift as we left (seriously).
A little bit cold in the room.
Decoration, service uptop. Very caring crew.
Warm and cosy Authentic Morocco All Staff particularly helpful in English Good location just on edge of medina- easy to get to Massive breakfast Best value for money
Not elevator, was ok for us, but in case you are traveling with old people or lots of luggage.
Very detail, love the decoration, you really fill you are in Morocco! Love the staff very helpful with everything you need, breakfast was great, they bring it to your room at the time that you ask!!
Very warm and friendly staff willing to help with all kinds of problems. Breakfeast served right in your room. Beautiful room, never seen this style before, enough big with cozy gathering. On the next visit of Chefchuan staying here definitly! ;-)
There was some slight confusion about time to deliver breakfast to room that was quickly resolved.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable and the upper floors have excellent views of the mountains.
Beautiful city for weekend break, beautiful charming hotel and nicest stuff ever. Do not miss this place
Which I could have stayed longer ;)
Room was very spacious with a beautiful dining room, all in a beautiful Morocco decoration, free wifi and staff was extraordinary nice, we had a problem with our Passport and the person in charge took us in a taxi (with no charge) at midnight to solve it with the authorities and he said "you are guests in my country so it is my responsibility to help you solve the problem" can't have better service than this !!! :) will definitely stay in Chez Aziz again !!
