The location in the medina is outstanding. The room was comfortable, and the rooftop terrace a good place for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Tariq extremely helpful and pleasant - nothing was too much trouble for him! The room we had was quite small but comfortable and a great shower and air conditioning. Lovely breakfast on the terrace. Its minutes from the square. Hard to find initially and a little scary at night but quickly felt very safe
Very close to Place Jemaa el Fna, which is the ideal location to be! Staff extremely friendly and helpful, good WiFi, medium breakfast.
The beds were quite hard and probably due to the location of our room (ground floor) there was a powerful sewage odour coming from the bathroom.
Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Room and bathroom were great in size and cleanliness. Well decorated and designed. Room had an AC. Breakfast was also great and sufficient. Had breakfast on the roof.
Location, at first is a bit tricky to remember just like most other riads in Morocco. However, once you know the route, its no problem. Best to carry an Iphone / GPS.
Great Riad very welcoming a few meters from Jaama El Fna. Clean room with all the amenities. Hearty breakfast served with care. To underline the kindness and hospitality of Tarik always present and available for advice but never intrusive. Great cous cous Tajim and mint tea. Highly recommended for all.
Nothing to complain aborto, all wars ok.
Was a 2 min walk from the square, so great when going out for late night entertainment or food at the markets. However, it was situated within dark alleyways so seems a bit dangerous at first, but the area is actually extremely safe at night and people are also very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean, with room cleaning service every day. Breakfast was mainly bread, croissant, cakes with jam and butter spread. Then there was orange juice and coffee also. The riad is also very helpful when helping to arrange excursions with and agency at good prices and also booking taxis to pick up/drop off from airport or go to any other places. The staff were all very friendly and made you feel at home on the first day. The location of the riad is also great as majority of the tourist sites are within walking distance.
Wished there was a bigger variety during breakfast e.g bacon, egg, sausages. However, people in Morocco mainly have breads and no meat for breakfast as they prefer to save their appetite for lunch and dinner.
Upon arrival at the airport, we were picked up by Mohammad, our driver and took us to the Jemma El Fna Square, where the Riad is only a minute walk. Tarik, our host was already standing n waiting for us by the square and guided us to the beautiful Riad! I fell in love immediately upon entering the Riad; it was absolutely unique in every way! Said and Zenib and of course, Tarik were wonderful hosts! They treated us like a family member! It was hard to say goodbye to these wonderful and hospitable people! I shall be back to Marrakech and will stay here again! If you ever plan for a vacay in Morroco, Riad Agdim is a divine place to stay! So close to the actions and noise of the square, but so quiet and peaceful inside! I actually prefer staying inside the Riad to enjoy the beauty of it rather than strolling outside! But there's so many places to explore! I miss Marrakech and shall be back again!!!!!! Rosie from california, usa
I love everything about this place and there is nothing I didn't like!
The staff was friendly and heplful up until I had to pay. Wifi cut in and out.
I got bedbug bites all over my body. The staff and I confirmed this when we found an actual bug. I said I should get a huge discount but had to haggle this like everything in Morocco. They would only take the "tax" off. I gave them all the dollars and pounds I had and they settled for that which calculated only to be a 24% discount. I went and bought all new luggage and did ny best to make sure no bugs were in my stuff. Considering the hassle and cost and bites all over I should have at least got half off or the whole thing free. My unfortunate experince shows that in this case at least the customer is not right and it's all about their profit. Horrible experince.
location and staff, Tarik is very friendly.
The quiet location and friendly staff
Great gem in the middle of the Riad. (Very) short walk to square and souk. Delicious breakfast, very good start of the day. Kind and helpful staff available 24/7. Very good value for money, will use it again next time.
no negatives! As other reviewers said, we recommend pre-booking the taxi to have the staff walk you to the riad for the first time. Afterwards it's easy to find.
Everything was perfect. The host ,Tarik wake up every morning ,sometime at 5 a.m.,to prepare brekfast with morrocan mint tea , fresh orange jus and morrocan pancakes.Excelent location ,in the heart of medina ,I fell that I live in a historical place.Morrocan doors(extraordinary),furniture, bathroom ,clean room.An excelent terace with a strong wifi signal. For everything I live here ,Sokran Tarik
Excellent staff and very well located.
Charming host who shared his iftar meal with us and let us watch as many world cup matches as we wanted!
Very dark rooms, lack of good lighting which really isn't a deal-breaker!
everything was perfect. staffs were soooo friendly. They offered everything and one of staff helped us when we were in trouble of Sim card. it was so helpful.
it is bit of hard to find at first time. but it would be okay if you ask someone in stores. we gave 10Dh for a tip though. Do not ask to other people they will require lots of money.
Great location, really close to the madness. Really friendly, helpful and honest staff. Breakfast on the rooftop is nice. Lovely interior decor. Overall a nice stay.
Despite the host being really friendly there was no front door key given therefore there seemed to be a sort of a unspoken curfew which we didn't understand, so when you come home late (after 12am) you ring the bell and wake the host up who isn't smiling anymore and proceeds to passive aggressively make comments about being late and how you should of told him you were coming late. This happened 2 out of 4 nights. It also felt like you had to tell him you were coming and going, which kinda got on our nerves a little. Maybe we misunderstood the riad system. Air con was leaking.
excellent rooms design, fantastic breakfasts, very helpful and kind personnel, the best position in town(close to djemaa-el fna but in tranquill spot)
this riad is not only placed very close to Jemaa el fna but also very comfortable. you have a cozy teerace and nice rooms. The breakfast was very good and was served at any time the guests wanted. The best was the nice atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. the mint tee was very delicious
no pool on terrace
Nice and quiet
the staff offer as a transport to go to the airport for 200 Dirham. they said it is cheeper and safe than taxis . that is not true, because you can take a normal taxi to go to the airport fot 100 dirham or at 100 mts from "place jemaa El Fna" you can take the bus directly to the airport for 30 dirham
all the staff working there are so friendly and helpful. The moroccan breakfast was so good. Cant wait to go back there soon!
It was not easy to find the riad for the first time. It is better to ask for pick-up service which they offer. It is about the same price you pay to the taxi driver so it is definitely better to take the pick-up service. Once you get there, the staff will instruct you how to get the riad.
The Riad had only 5 rooms. Privacy, it felt like a home!!!! We went to an other city for 2 days and left our Luggage in the Riad. We knew we could trust the staff!!! In the middle of everything!!! Amazing
Perfect location for everything. The staff is exceptionally nice. The room is clean.
Taxi cannot get near the hotel..lane too narrow
The staff were excellent very helpful we will recommend and return
Rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast is wonderful. WiFi is working in the entire complex. Staff is very friendly but they don't all speak English. The one that did was very helpful. Location is very good with just a 5 minute walk from the square.
Like other people claim it's hard to find. But ones you know the way it's easy to find your way through the small alleys. Our air conditioning was working but was dripping water as well, unfortunately they couldn't fix this during our stay.
A very good atmospheric hotel with a very nice terrace and excellent staff!
