This elegant riad is in the heart of the Medina, just a 2 minute walk from the famous Jemaâ El Fna square, the souks (markets) and the historic district. It offers free Wi-Fi access.

Riad Diana is ideally located in Riad Zitoune, one of the most exclusive quarters in central Marrakech, less than 220 yards from the famous Djemaa El Fna square.

It was all and more then we expected. Our host was lovely and saw to all out needs with a smile! The decor was beautiful, exotic, tranquil and a wonderful introduction to Marakesh. We will recommend it to all our friends!! And our two Labaradors were made welcome as well ( awesome experience!)
-reception insisted in paying late in the evening, so we went to get money from the ATM machine after that they had problems in returning change not very professional -shower caused the bathroom to wet all over and had not setting were the water temperature was pleasant (either too hot or too cold) -Quite a lot of traffic noise because the Riad is located near a bussy road
The riad and especially the terrace are amazing. We enjoyed the comfortable bedroom which has fully equipped bathroom.
Wifi signal is not working well at the top floor. And because of satff holidays, some services from the SPA were not available.
Clean and quiet riad with beautiful decor only less than ten minutes walk from Jemaa el Fnaa square. Lady Frederic, the owner, and her staff are very attentive and go out of their way to make their guests comfortable and well informed in terms of how to get around, where to shop and eat, and what to avoid. They serve an authentic Moroccan food which is superb!!! There is a hammam on the premises and I thought, that a good quality black soap at a spacious bath tub provided a really nice touch. Wifi, available in the common area, worked well. It was a real joy to stay in Riad Ajebel, to meet Frederic and Mohammed and to enjoy their hospitality. I recommend this place to anyone and will stay there again if I return to Marrakesh.
- location, atmosphere, staff
- WIFI could be better - I don't recomend trip offered by Hotel, Travel Agency organised trip in bus without airconditioning when temprature outside was near 40 C. It was extremely uncomfortable.
Frederique, and all her staff were very attentive and polite. The Riad is beautiful, well kept. We scheduled a Hammam and massage on our last day at the Riad and it was wonderful.
The only thing that Needs improvement is the wifi, it would not reach our room. Although the Riad was a little bit far from the center, it was worth it
Great people, very relaxed and very accommodating. Nice price. It's a bit of a walk up Rue de la Kasbah, but that's actually a blessing. Decor very attractive. Great breakfast and food cooked for you if you wish. Terrace nice. Very clean.
All are minor that didn't detract from our stay (please consider these suggestions) You'll probably need help finding it, though the airport transfer (€15) brought us to the door. Wifi could be improved for the rooms. En-suites could have used a door (short curtains) and tended to get very wet.
The staff were all excellent, very helpful and very friendly. Our room was quite large and had a bath and a shower, also in the room was free air conditioning (outside temp was 30 degrees) so was very welcome
The basic Morrocan breakfast, no fridge in the room to keep cooled water and soft drinks, no wardrobe - rooms only had a 'towel rail' with 4 coat hangers to hang clothes!! Also non of the local taxi drivers knew where the Riad was so we had to ensure we kept a map and the Riad business card with us at all times
The staff were very personable and spent time to on arrival to introduce themselves and ask if we needed any information and advice with our stay. We were given mint tea and pastries as we chatted. I wanted to buy some Organic Argan Oil so Abdul took us to a amazing lady named Fatima, very nearby who I purchased a lot from. We were also taken on a mini tour so we could find our way back to the Raid. The Riad is beautiful and our room was decorated with fresh rose petals on arrival. The breakfast is delicious. On our departure morning we were leaving very early 6am, I didn't except to be given breakfast however the staff went out of their way to give us something before we left. They are very kind. I would definitely return here again. I love this city and the people at Riad Ajebel made it even better. Thank you!
The owner is absolutely wonderful! He came to meet us from the cab so that we were sure to find the place, greeted us with tea and cookies, helped us set up other taxis/buses/etc (anything we needed), gave us wonderful suggestions for places to eat, and the list could continue on and on! The place itself is beautiful and intimate! I will absolutely stay here if/when ever I come back to Marrakech! I didn't want to leave!!
If I have to say something, it would only be that at first, it seemed like a "sketchy" location, simply because it's in a small alley. But that was not ever a problem because it is well lit at night and perfectly harmless during the day! Book this place for a wonderful Moroccan experience!!
Noise from road on rooftop.
Lovely staff- especially Abdul who took great care of us. Mint tea and biscuits after a crazy day in the medina was always a pleasure to come back to. Loved the products in the bathroom- felt like a spa!
Absolutely loved the traditional design of the hotel. Great value for money. Very good breakfast. There is a gentleman working there that manages the hotel and he does a fantastic job accommodating your every need, though the French lady owner can be somewhat discourteous.
A little difficult to find the hotel since it's in the back alleyways of the city. Internet signal was not strong enough in the rooms.
lovely riad, could be slightly noisy if younger clients staying. very kind staff, good information. the first night meal was a bonus as we arrived late.
it was cold and wet
Staffs were pleasant, friendly and available to help when needed.
Riad was a comfortable, peaceful haven and all staff very friendly and helpful with suggestions and organising trips and taxis. Fairly direct route to Jema el Fna, about a 25 stroll, but beware the traffic from behind. Enjoyed the breakfasts and welcome cup of tea on offer after returning from a trek out.
staff, location, breakfast, the terrace, the friendliness of other guests
Theres a slight smell that comes from the pipes in the bathroom, no big deal for the most part but it is noteworthy initially
- location is key, if you have no problem walking through a dodgy alley at night, this is your hotel! - owner and personel, are really hospitable and will arrange everything you want
- wifi is not extended to rooms and signal is weak
very nice staff, you feel very safe in the building. Clean and comfortable, when we visit Marrakesh again we will deff. stay in the same hotel. I will recomend this hotel to all my friends! Marrakesh = Riad Ajabel!!
great accomodation, well organized, excellent dinner, warmly recommended the Hammam experience. Excellent products quality, room perfectly cleaned up, perfect silence.
When paying with credit card you pay 5% more.
Very friendly stuff, loved the location, go!!!
Mohammed, the Riad clerk, was such an amazing human being and employee- what an asset to the Riad he is! His English is fantastic and he's always eager to talk so he can practice. He's just a nice guy too, and a great source of advice and help. Madame Frederic, the owner, is so sweet and very helpful too, and seems genuinely interested in hearing about your plans, your day, and is available for recommendations as needed. She and Mohammed both seemed to be at the Riad all day every day, so if you have any issues they are right there. The two of them are stars, and made us feel like we'd absolutely made the right choice for our honeymoon in Marrakesh. The Riad is easily accessible from two streets in a neighborhood that is lively (in a good way) but not overcrowded or noisy, and we quickly learned from Frederic and Mohammed how to get around so we wouldn't have to rely on paying kids to help us find our way. Clean accommodations, nice decor, and very hot water in our shower (fantastic after our long travels from Dakar). While we brought our own wine from Duty Free, Mme Frederic is from Bordeaux and can hook you up with some French wine if you forgot to BYO :)
One area for improvement (that is not limited to this Riad- we have seen it all over our travels to both Senegal and Morocco, in even the very nicest places) is the Wifi. Nearly everywhere we've gone has had spotty Wifi, and I suspect it's related to the building materials of these lovely old structures. The only room for improvement I can think of is that it would be so nice to be able to lay back in bed late at night and send out a couple emails, or for students like me, some things are essential like completing quizzes or homework on vacation. Stronger Wifi would be a nice addition!
Owner and staff were absolutely great, went out of their way to make us welcome, gave us a lot of excellent information about Marrakech, arranged a day trip for us, overall a great experience staying there.
The friendly and attentive service was lovely. The location ,despite a 15 minute walk into town was in a nice part of the Medina. An authentic style decor added to the 'morrocan' experience we wanted.
Nothing worth noting, and I'm fussy!
We booked this riad based on the strength of it's reviews and were not disappointed. The riad is beautiful, with rooms set around a courtyard and was a relaxing retreat after the heat and bustle of the Medina. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by everyone there who couldn't have done more to help us enjoy our stay - even offering mint tea and biscuits whenever we came back from the town. The breakfasts in the riad were delicious and there was no shortage of food - fruit salad, egg, pancakes (sort of), cake and of course mint tea served upstairs on the terrace. We also had dinner a few times and they were better than any dinner we ate outside the riad! The room was very comfortable (we stayed in "Alil") with air conditioning and a seating area although we tended to sit outside on the terrace as the weather was so nice. The riad is located right on the edge of the Medina and is about a 10-15 minute walk to the central square which means it is away from the noise of the centre. Walking back at night was never an issue as the route is well lit and there were always plenty of people about on the streets We cannot recommend this riad highly enough and would definitely stay here again if we return to Marrakesh
