The shower wasn't great - shower head didn't work well on the first night. When we told the hotel staff, they tried to fixed it. It was better but I still didn't feel like I've had a great shower.
It's good that it's a little further out from the main square but it can be a little hard to find. Staff is excellent - attentive and polite.

We didn't like that the bathrooms have no separations to the bedroom other than a 1 meter curtain hanging from the top. That doesn't give any privacy
We like the room decorations and the staff willingness to help

The riad is wonderful. Frederique (and her staff) is a great host and will do everything to help you if you need anything. Breakfast are delicious, bed comfy and wi-fi works well.

The friendly welcome, the peace and quiet, nothing was too much trouble!

The staff at the riad were so accommodating and very friendly. On our arrival we asked if they had a room a lit bit bigger and this was sorted out for us with no problem. We had dinner at the riad on our first night and this was excellent, we wished we had order this on our last night as we were so tired after a long day. walking.

Bathroom needed a good clean. Towels should be changed during a full week stay.
The chaos, colour and wonderfully hospitable characters. Still pretty much the same after 40 yrs since last visit. Majorelle Gardens a must.

A restful, quiet retreat from the mad throngs of Marrakech. It's hidden amongst the alleyways and whenever my partner and I returned we felt very relaxed, and were looked after beautifully by Frédérique and her staff. Our room was clean and the bed, which has a canopy, was extremely comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you visit Marrakech. If you happen to stay on a Wednesday then pop to the Clock Cafe nearby. They have a music jam session which is great fun. The food is also very good.

The staff were so lovely, polite and helpful. The decor of the room was beautiful and only a 15 minute walk to the town centre.

The water pressure in the shower could be a little better.
The loaction was convienient but allowed you to come away from the husle and bustle of the centre. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Would stay there again.

As I've mentioned, we were absolutely delighted with Ajebel. What we didn't like are tiny points: - The mint tea was too strong for me, but I mentioned that to Faisal who toned it down. - We stayed in the Chelel room and as the pictures on here clearly show, it's quite a dark room, we sometimes felt we could've done with more light but it certainly created a romantic, gentle ambiance
+ Well decorated and maintained, traditional style, close attention to detail + Location was ideal for us, just inside the old city walls but in a quiet corner, so easy to meander around the riad with our 20-month old boy and soak up every day life + Bath tub was huge! + We were in the Chelel room, just next to it there is the terrasse and it was great to be able to hang out there and soak up the views and the sun + The complimentary mint tea and home-made biscuits were always very welcome + Such warm and accommodating staff. I spent my birthday there and was made to feel so very special + Exquisite food (we arrived at midday and decided to stay in for lunch, Fatima made us a steaming chicken tagine which we polished off with glee!) + Wonderful cooking session with Fatima as my birthday present to myself, preparing our gorgeous family dinner This was an absolute dream come true for me, I'd been wanting to discover Marrakach since I was a student so this trip has been decades in the making :) I went with my husband and one 20-month old son and this riad was such a highlight, it made our stay, pure and simple. We'll be back!

It became a bit expensive when the tourist tax is added and the diner is consumed. the hotel is next to the busy street, so there will be a bit noise. But we are good sleepers, so it didn't bother us so much.
Characteristic room deco.; fresh flowers; personel; airport shuttle bus service.

It would have been nice to try the in-house hammam if the prices were more affordable.
The riad ambience is relaxing and visually appealing. The staff are also very helpful and accomodating. We had a lovely time there during New Year's Eve.

Excellent location. Easy to find. The rooms are decorated authentically. Quiet. Free Wi-Fi. Clean. Sun lounge on the roof terrace. Great Staff. A charming Riad.

Staff was very very nice, there is a parking lot nearby, breakfast was good, the room was very pretty. Like all the others say, there is no door to the bathroom, which may be a little weird..

la posizione è all'estremità della medina per certi aspetti può essere scomoda, a piedi più di 20 min per la arrivare in piazza per vicoli e quartieri un pò così così....non è vicino come tanti scrivono!
riad curato e pulito, buon rapporto qualità prezzo

A bit hard to find, location on homepage (facebook) misleading and in booking.com also a bit misleading. The easiest way to find it by yourself is through the back-door which opens to Rue Bab Irhli (you can see the picture of the door in their facebook page).
Location - close enough to the medina but quiet part of the city. Clean, authentic style, helpful staff, good breakfast.

No door between bathroom and bedroom, you might want a bit more privacy with a dodgy stomach! Also, the shower doesn't have a curtain and the water splashes a lot on the floor. Still, this wouldn't stop us from coming back.
First of all, the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Traditional decorations, ambiance and oriental scents in the air certainly create a wonderfull atmosphere. The rooms are also decorated in a traditional way and are comfortable enough. The proprietor, Frederique, can arrange day trips and airport transfer. Hammam and massage can be arranged (great experience!) and you can also get traditional food in the riad. We found both breakfast and tajines are very tasty. Location is also convenient but it's easy to get lost if you use the medina entrance. We used the main street entrance any time we wanted to get back quickly (more straightforward route even though a bit longer).

It's a futile detail but the shower is shore of a cabin window. Consequently, the bath room floor gets wet easily. A bathroom door is also lacking which some might disturb
Khaled and Faysal are both very helpful and will ensure you a great stay in Marrakech. The hotel is great, and the room and bath room exceeded our expectations. The breakfast is gorgeous and the welcome tea, too, was greatly appreciated.

Compared to other accomodation we stayed in in Marrakech, this room was by far the smallest. I was staying with a friend and the bathroom did not have a door, just a very small curtain so you could see straight into the shower from the bed. The pluming in the bathroom was awful, the shower cut out several times during my shower. At night time the area didn't feel particularly safe, that comes with staying in the maze and is great to experience during the day. I put a jumper on the coat rack and it fell off the wall. There is no wardrobe for your clothes, just a few hangers on the coat rack. This accomodation is good for say one night but I wouldn't stay here for any longer.
The hosts of the accomodation were lovely and very helpful, the terrace is nice and the room was nicely decorated.

We knew we had to pay the city tax, but what we didn't expect was to have to pay VAT twice, as on our booking is written included. We tried to explain to the staff and show him our booking (written "included on the price"), but he still didn't understand and after all ended up asking us to pay the price was written for cancellation. It was impossible to try to explain anything to him as he started to show he wasn't happy... Not the service you expect for the costumer
The riad is very well kept and beautiful. The owner did her best to give us some tips about Marrakech, wich was very usefull.

Exceptional in all aspects. The owner and the employees treated us better than family. Special creams are offered to all customers. The breakfast was available all morning. And the dinners where wonderful and extremely affordable. I cannot find fault with the services and cleanliness of the place. It smelled brilliant. Tastefully decorated. And the terrace were breakfast , dinner and tea could be served was beautiful and extremely comfortable.

Riad Ajebel is a quiet oasis in a lovely Kasbah district. Frederique, the proprietor & her staff members were very welcoming, esp. Adnan! Apart from the beautiful ambience of the riad I had a comfortable & relaxing stay with good food & company. I also had the most amazing hammam & massage onsite.....incredible! :)

A bit noisy with traffic in the terrace, but this was a minor concern.
Excellent food and very helpful staff.

The towels in our bathroom were not changed during our stay even though we placed three on the floor, assuming this was the code to ask for new ones. I believe you will have to ask the cleaning lady in person or ask the manager to inform the cleaning lady that your towels and/or bed sheets need to be changed. Other than that, our stay was outstanding.
The location was perfect. The riad is so beautiful. It was located in a quiet corner, but within walking distance to the stores, cafes, and main plaza where the souks are. When taking a cab, you just have to tell the driver to go to the Palais Royale (Royal Palace). The riad is literally across the street. Lastly, the manager, Frederique, was simply amazing. She made us feel at home and was so welcoming. She even helped us save money on a day tour. We had originally booked with an agency that was charging 100 euros more than an agency she knew well. With her help, the agency she knew quoted us with a far less expensive day tour of the Atlas Mountains without losing service quality.

It's a stunning building, full of beautiful Moroccan furniture and crafts. We slept in the Alil double room on the terrace which was extremely comfortable and cosy. Frédérique was very helpful and lovely. I highly recommend staying here.
