This was the perfect place to escape to from the busy souks. The riad itself was lovely with a big open terrace, beautiful Moroccan style furnishings and a jacuzzi. The room was a good size and very clean. There was also a roof terrace which would be amazing in summer. Houcine (the manager) couldn't have done more to help at every opportunity. He gave great advise on where to go and what to do, as well as what you should be haggling the stall holders down to! The ladies making the breakfast and cleaning the rooms were as well always smiling and very attentive. When we go back to Marrakech we will be staying here again!
Hussain , the manager, was amazingly helpful in every way, and was happy to have his 'brains picked' about everything from carpet prices to best cafes for food, or for viewing the square, etc. Would highly recommend the Nejma suite for families. Very central location (next to Place d'epices), yet quiet and peaceful. Roof top great for chilling.
Cleanliness, the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff and convenient location.
If you're looking for the perfect Moroccan getaway you'll definitely find it here. It's located right in the middle of the chaos of the markets which can be daunting at first but you soon realise it's completely safe and secure. Suggest that you avail of their airport transport service as it would be impossible to find otherwise. All the staff are incredibly helpful and go over and above to ensure you're happy.
There are no locks on the bedroom doors which seems a bit odd at first but it turned out to be absolutely fine and added to the charm of the Riad.
Breakfast Central location Helpful staff Beautiful decor
As all rooms look onto the courtyard where people have breakfast it can be quite noisy if you want to have a bit of a longer snooze! But not enough of a problem to put me off staying again.
Booked a suite, this was excellent value. Breakfast was really delicious. Great value for money accomodation in the heart of Marrskesh
Nothing to dislike
Home made yoghurt, coffee, and cake. The incredibly good taste of the person who decorated and furnished it. The lovely man who met us and gave us information. The ambience at night with the candles etc The lovely ladies inside very smiley.
The location deep in the souk.Horrid at night. The piles of stinking rubbish nearby. The poor wi-fi The dank smell in the entrance The owners son's indifference. The moroccan crepes...ugh.
I was sceptical that a budget Riad in the middle of the souks could be as good as the reviews but this place really is. Hussein was so welcoming and helpful throughout our trip and the Riad is quiet, beautiful and a safe haven from the crazy Marrakech markets. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Very helpful and friendly staff, great facilities and location.
Beautiful riad Great staff Comfortable rooms Good breakfast
No full length mirror in room
Hussein (the manager) was an incredible resource for our stay. He gave us directions, cultural info, price expectations for shopping, etc. This Riad is right in the medina! It was a great atmosphere as you walk through the chaos of the medina and step into the tranquil environment of the riad. We loved our stay here. Thanks Hussein!
メインの広場から近く、清潔で静か。中庭やインテリアもとても美しかったです。スタッフのHoucine(Haucine?)さんがとても親切でマラケシュ観光に関する様々なアドバイスをくれました。 This Riad is close to the main square, clean and quiet. It has beautiful Patio and rooms. The staff Mr.Houcine(Haucine?) was so kind and gave me some useful advice about Marrakech. I'd like to stay there again. Merci beaucoup!
My husband and I had many concernes travelling to a foreign country with our 2 year old for the first time. Safety, hygiene and calm/quiet surroundings were our top priorities - and that is what we found at Riad Al Mamoune. Houccine took very good care of us, providing informations about places to see, where to change money, good/clean places to eat etc. We could use the kitchen as we wanted: sterilizing baby bottles + preparing baby food + access to the refrigerator. Houccine even arranged a baby friendly trip to the Atlas mountains. The last day of our stay I got very sick due to some pregnancy complications, but we felt 100% safe knowing that Houccine would be able to arrange medical help/transport if it was needed. We have recommended this place to everyone and we will definitely return next time visiting Marrakech - wich by the way is a city full of adventures and history!! Houccine take good care of yourself and it was a pleasure meeting you:-)
The reception is very helpful, informative, and knowledgeable. Location is superb, 10 minutes walk to the central, many traditional restaurant nearby (with a normal price). rooms are excellent and beautiful.
The riad was very clean and quiet. It was easy to find once you had walked it one time. Good staff with good recommendations for the city
Great location, right in the souks (yet removed from the main streets and very quiet). Our room was charming, and a great size for the price. Above all, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. This riad was the highpoint of our trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable place to stay in Marrakech.
One of the other guests was a bit loud, but you cant do much about that.
The staff were amazing and helpful. They gave us suggestions (restaurants, camel rides, prices for items in the souks) and always made sure we were satisfied and enjoying out time. Breakfast of the roof terrace was so nice! They greeted us by name and Manu even took us on an excursion in the Atlas Mountains, which we would recommend to everyone! The Riad was beautiful and clean! 100% would recommend to anyone!!
The riad was near the square. The location was very easy to get around. The reception guy gave us good advices on everything either places to go or not to go.
The room on the ground floor was quite noisy esp. when there was a big family hanging around on the ground floor all day long.
Decoration, service, cleanliness
Minor noises from birds, bathroom plug issues
everything. That's why I came back and I will always book here when I will be in marrakech
It's fully booked all time.
Wonderful staff, great location, delicious breakfast, amazing rooftop terrace.
This was an excellent place to stay! The Riad has a very nice atmosphere, great staff and wonderful food (compliments for Zaza!). Absolutely recommended. We made a tour to Imlil and the Atlas with Manu, which was highly enjoyable. Hussein became instant friends with our two-year old daughter!
Perhaps the location, or rather the route to get there, is a bit shabby, but never makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
The Riad is very nicely and traditionally decorated. It is located in the heart of the medina so if you want to be in the centre of everything, its a great location although it takes a while to get your barings. The room we booked was a suite and was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were able to give useful advice as to sites to see and places to eat. Breakfast at the riad was lovely and traditional so well worth it. I would highly recommend eating at the food market one evening as well as sampling some of the morrocan food in the restaurants surrounding the main square. There are some that have roof terraces that overlook the hustle and bustle. Taxis can overcharge tourists. You should never pay more than 20 derum for travelling anywhere within the medina. A taxi to the airport should be no more than 40. The souks are great but make sure you haggle for about 40% of the price. The staff at the riad will give you all this advice if you ask. I would also recommend staying in Marrakech for a max of 3 days and taking the rest of you time to travel to Essouira if you can - it is beautiful and a welcome relief from the hecticness of Marrakech. You can get a bus for 40derums and it takes 3 hours. It is a gorgeous fishing vilage with loads of history and culture. If you like seafood then its a must!
The only thing that may be an issue with this riad is the location if you do not want to be in the heart of the medina as it is pretty hectic.
Staff very nice, cozy rooms. Very typical maroccan style.
The location of the Riad is in a narrow stinky alley, extremely difficult to find, we got lost almost every time, and at night is also not so pleasant too. Inside is very clean and cozy.
