Location was central and very quite. Our host Youcef was very professional and welcoming. Offered great advice to assist our first stay in marakesh. Raid Al Nour had so much char
I stayed there from 2nd to 6th of March 2015. Every single bit of my experience at Riad Al Nour was amazing. When you sit in the garden, you feel like you are in a heaven.I was loving to chill in the garden after a tiring day. Youssef always welcomed us with mint tea, he was always helpful. We even had a live support from Youssef while we were shopping. Briefly; relaxing, comfortable, peaceful, beautiful, clean place with great and helpful staff.
Nothing. Everything was great.
The Riad is realy cosy and well located,10/15 minutes walking to the Place Jemaa El Fna. Youssef was realy helpful, he gave us good advices and helped us to plan the rest of our trip in Morocco. He prepared us a lovely typical breakfast even at 6.30 am, he was just awesome!! If we go back to Marrakesh we definitely stay there again!
Staff- friendly and full of advise, peace. decoration, atmosphere
The best Riad ever and the best owners! Very friendly, helpful. We spent together two evenings singing and smoking shisha talking about marocan culture. Real familiar atmosphere. They explained to us everything about restaurants, excursions etc. Our room with balcony really spacious, cosy with small balcony with amazing view. Delicious homemade breakfast ! I really recommend to everybody wants to explore Marrakesh and to feel like at home ! Thank u guys and 'take your time' Youssef ! ;)
- Attentive staff, really great - Location right in the heart of the souks in the medina - Beautiful room, and courtyard - they have two awesome cats :) - Cannot praise the staff highly enough - comfy bed, romantic
- we stayed in January, room was pretty cold - bath/shower facility was not the best, but ok
Friendly host who explained us what to do and don't do in the city
The place is extremely overpriced and overrated. We have found nicer rooms in better location for less than half the price we paid here. The room was small and cold with only one blanket and not even a soap in the bathroom!!!!! At midnight the staff were still talking outside so we couldn't fall asleep. The prayers at night are extremely loud as it is right next to the mosque. We don't understand the high ratings
I have stayed in hundreds of places across every continent, and you would be hard-pressed to find the equal of this place. The guys (and girls!) who run the place are some of the nicest I've encountered - always available, always helpful but without being an obvious or disturbing presence. When my taxi to the airport was a no-show, the owner simply dropped what he was doing and drove me himself, and then refused to take anything off me for doing so. The place is about 9ish minutes walk from the main square, and is located within the old city itself. You couldn't find a better, or more aesthetically pleasing, location to stay on your trip to Marrakech. Just book it now!
Not a single complaint. Genuinely.
Zina, Younes and Yousef are wonderful and helpful hosts and their Riad is a lovely place to stay. They arranged a transfer from the airport for us and provided some very useful information about Marrakech, the souks and the square. I was traveling with two of my children, both over 18 and the room was comfortable enough for all of us. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and the persistent rain meant that we could not enjoy the facilities available in the courtyard to a great extent. This was a most beautiful and relaxing space and I am sure that had the sun been shining we would have spent more time in the courtyard, amongst the Orange trees.
We did not have enough time at this lovely Riad.
We stayed for a week and had a great stay at Riad Al Nour. Zina, Younes and Youssef are great hosts and very helpful! The location is great - 10 min walk to the square and about 10 min to the new city. Breakfast is very good and is being served until 11am! We would defintely recommend this Riad!
Total hospitality, Zina and her family are super helpful and super nice. Zina and her brother both have great English, her husband fares better with French but all were kind & helpful. They arranged a taxi transfer (well worth the 15e, tours, all ended up great. Zina even sat down with me to advise me on the city when I first arrived. I arranged to have dinner there my first night too - delicious! The room was big, comfortable, had character and was clean. Location was good, as I was a female, alone I tried not to walk later than 8 pm when even tho it was dark there were tons of people in the streets. Coming back later would have been fine but I was happy to tuck in for the night after a long day of walking at that point anyway.
Next to a mosque, call to prayer is extremely loud and at 4:30 AM - Zina's husband was kind enough to warn me but I still woke up in a fright my first night. I thought it wouldn't bother me but I had the top floor room with balcony and it literally sounded like the guy was in my room yelling at me lol. I got used to it but was a bit of a shock, may not be as bad on the lower floor. Wifi was okay - it was fine for browsing the internet for the most part but it dropped out a good bit so making voice calls over skype or google to back home was difficult. Again think this was because I was on the top floor, as internet was superb in the courtyard!
Very nice Riad, not so easy to find if you are in Marrakesh for the first time, maybe from the airport it could be better to go in with a taxi (60 dhm). Very kind and young staff, available at any time. Wide room with nice furniture (finally not Ikea style!) and functional bathroom. The best breakfast that I ever had!
The muezzin at the near mosquee can be loud at 4:30 a.m., but anyway you are in a muslim country...
The riad is beautifully and tastefully decorated in Moroccan style, feels very authentic, no kitch. The location is perfect, very easy to find once you have been there, in an alleyway from a major street near a mosque. The hosts family is very welcoming, go beyond expected to try to make your stay comfortable. They gave me a cell phone to use (no charge), arranged a number of tours, and provided a lot of useful information. Twice I had a dinner at the riad which was excellent and reasonably priced. I will certainly stay at this riad if I visit Marrakech again, and will recommend it to my friends.
We liked our suit, the calm in the riad, the great breakfasts and dinners!!! And we have never had such helpful hosts! Thank you Younes, Zina and Youssef!! Sukran!
The riad was beautiful inside. Youseff and Zina were brilliant hosts, they made us feel so welcome, they gave us great advice and information about the city. Several times we asked for their recomendations for places to go, they were ever so helpful and the places they recommended were exactly what we wanted. They set up excursions for us and arranged transfers to and from the airport, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excelent and times were very flexible. The room was lovely and there was always hot water. The riad is perfectly located for both the old city Medina and also the new city, bus and train station. I loved this riad and would recommend it to anyone!
This Riad is beautifully presented, the most wonderful place I've ever stayed! The courtyard with the orange trees is cool and calm, our bed was comfortable, the bedding good quality, the food delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. They helped us find our way around, sorted out trips and taxis, cooked for us if required and were always on hand for any questions. The location was ideal, a ten minute walk from both the old and new town. The most special feature for us was the beauty of the decor and the building - it really was the Riad of our dreams!
Well located within easy walking distance of all main attractions including Djemaa El-Fina, Souqs, Ali ben Youssef Medersa, Koutoubia Minaret and the Bahin Palace Other than on the one occasion when there was no milk the breakfast was good. Plenty of fresh fruit and bread.
This Raid is located next to a large Mosque so when the call to prayer occurs at about 1.30am and 5.30am you get woken up by a very long and very loud siren that sounds like a prolonged fire alarm. This does occur throughout Marrakesh but I think the location of this Raid makes it louder and impossible to sleep through. Hence you never get a full nights sleep.
We arrived to Marrakech airport the day Ramadan started with lots of uncertainty of what to expect (this was our first time in Morocco and Africa all together). And there were Younes and Yusef, the managers of Riad Al Nour, expecting for us to take us to the Riad. That was very reassuring indeed. The Riad is inside the Medina and quite close to the main square and everything else. The Riad is real beautiful, with an amazing central patio nicely decorated at the Moroccan style. We got a room for a couple, quite spacious and nicely decorated. Everything was impeccably clean. Younes and Yusef were really great giving us information about Marrakech and tips of what to visit. One night we had dinner at the Riad, which they offer at competitive price, and they provided us with amazing traditional Moroccan food. Great value for money. A really amazing trip.
The Riad was beautiful, the location excellent, and our hosts very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious! I would stay there again and recommend it to anybody.
An oasis in the madness of Marrakech. Youssef, his sister and brother-in-law were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful riad experience and would recommend it without hesitation.
A little far from the square but we never felt unsafe walking at night.
Riad al Nour is what made my vacation in Marrakech really UNFORGETTBLE, a kind and caring staff, a beautiful atmosphere, a lovely taste in the interiors. I will recommend it to all my family and friends, and wouldn't go anywhere else in case of another trip to Marrakech, I'm thankful to Youssef, Younes and Zina for everything they made to make us feel like home!
Very warm welcome, very accomodating owners, we felt really comfortable. The location is good, maximum 15 min walking to main attractions. The Riad itself is clean, compact and nicely decorated. We stayed on the uppermost floor, in 2 different rooms on different occasions. both rooms were spacious and comfortable. Thank you very much for all, we would definitely stay again.
Staff were friendly and gave useful advice as it was our first trip to Marrakech. We could request tea at any time and it was free of charge. The family were hospitable and friendly.
Had amazing time at this hid gem in the medina. It's peaceful oasis of calm with a beautiful traditional courtyard where you can relax and cool off after a busy day getting lost in the souks. Youseff, one of the family members running the rhiad, went out of his way to help us, recommending the best places to eat and even taking us to a great hammam around the corner. Also a mine of information about the area and has lots of tips to help you find souvenirs at the right price! The room was very spacious and comfortable with a balcony looking over the courtyard and with a view over the old city's rooftops and mosques. Comfy bed and sofa to lie on! Breakfast was also amazing - huge portions - with olives, breads and traditional pancakes, plus tea and coffee. Highly recommended!!
Very minor things really, but the room could have done with more lights...couple were broken so was bit dim if you wanted to read in the evening. The mosque was also very near and wakes you up at the crack of dawn. Not the hotel's fault, but worth bearing in mind.
Warmly greeted, well appointed room, lovely courtyard, and a great breakfast
Sadly the local Muezzin wasn't of better voice
