Its really impossible find the hotel..its really far to jmaa el fna..you habe need help by local people buy they want money to take you hotel..hotel really cold..and air conndition dosent work rightly.staff was unfriendly..
big room, roof terrace, value for money, airport transfer is worth the money, room cleaned daily
breakfast was just a few types of bread and orange juice, wifi not very good in room, shower very temperamental
Accommodation and breakfast ok and a nice traditional Riad, good wifi and maid service everyday.
Location was a bit of a nightmare, only 10 mins walk from the main square however via a very busy street, got lost once and found it to be quite daunting almost frightening! Would recomend that management signpost the Riad from the Main Street (to the square) like other Riads have. Beware of offers of help to find your accommodation, they will want paying! Could also do with a lick of paint in the bathroom!
Mustafa (night shift person) is nice person. It is nice accommodation, but hard to reach it, dark, and far from anything
The morning shift person is busy and he make us hurry, while we have checked out. It is hard to find it and it is far from anything. While you can find another close to the activities with almost same price. Breakfast is poor.
room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious!
Nice riad cca 10 minutes from the main square. Comfortable and clean room, awesome roof! It was hard to find it for the firts time when we arrived to Marrakesh so we paid some money to a little boy who showed us the right street and then it was ok. If you compare price and what you get, it's great choise to stay in this riad.
Not that it would affect our opinion about this riad, it was more of a funny story - second night when we came back little lizard was on the ceiling. He scared it off and that was all :-)
Very calm and clean
cheap and clean
the man working in the reception was very very unkind.
Room was quite spacious and clean.
When I arrived at the door to the Riad I was accompanied by two Moroccan men, who insisted on showing me the way. I was lost in the labyrinth of unnamed streets. Once we arrived they demanded 300DH for the privilege of walking me 3 minutes ! I said I only have 10DH in my purse and that's all they're getting for the 'hassle'. We did not agree on paying any money as I said I can find Riad on my own. Yet they insisted on walking me then wouldn't allow me to go inside, putting hand across the doorway. Young Moroccan receptionist opened the door, hearing us arguing outside; he looked at us then disappeared in the doorway. I thought he went to get some help but he did nothing ! I eventually freed myself from very intimidating duo and pushed them aside so I can walk in and shut the door behind me. The receptionist spoke little English and with my poor French I found out it was his 1st day at work and he didn't know anything about his job! In the morning I was greeted by hotel manager. He was dressed and acted like a big business men and it was obvious to me that he is only concerned about making money. I did not feel appreciated as a customer. He didn't even ask me how did I find the riad and how was my night. All he was concerned about is whether I will leave them good review...all he was repeating is Review ! And so here it is: I would not recommend venturing out so far out of the main square. The area was very dodgy at night, when I walked at 10.30pm to find the Riad. There are no street names or signs towards the place. The little, side street in which the Riad is situated has no sign and the Riad has plain door with little sign on it so you can't even see it from the street. It's a dodgy area of the Medina and is full of pick pocketers and so called 'guides' who are nothing more than intimidating brats, waiting for tourists with big wallets who would pay them any money to be left alone!
Lovely hotel that will surprise you! When you arrive you might be scared off a bit by the surroundings. The hotel is in a very small alley in what appears to be somewhat poorer part of town (although also very near to the main square!). Yet when you enter the hotel you'll find a little pearl, wonderful tranquil place, with a lovely terras on top, very clean with exceptionally friendly staff. And only a 8 minute walk or so away from the main square! The staff went out of our way to make our stay a pleasant one for instance by providing us with a meal upon arrival even though it was way past midnight. They also were very helpfull in preparing meals that fit our vega(n) diet, helping us out with taxi's etc. The cleaning lady diserves a special compliment! The entire hotel and the room was kept very clean and tidy. The sheets were even changed e-v-e-r-y single day! She also prepares the breakfast daily that she will serve you as you please downstairs in the lobby, on the roof terrace or in your room. And she makes wonderful dinners too! Make sure to give her a nice tip upon leaving. :-) You should keep in mind that the pool is rather small, so perhaps more for children. And of course you may come across little things such as the shower occasionally changing temperature, the wifi perhaps being off for a while, but hey...you didn't pay for a 5-star hotel either! For the price you pay, this hotel is exceptionally good. A true surprise! :-)
The personal was very kind and the location excellent. If you go by car, there is a parking close to it but you have to go next to the medina's wall.
Staff is lovely and very helpfull. Rooms were really clean and cute as the public areas also.
Great location, Traditional house, Lovely staff.
The riad has a lovely terrace, where you can hang out. One of the staff members, who was there in the evenings and nights, was really friendly and helpful.
We tried to find the riad by Google Map (as we had been in Marrakech before, we were prepared that finding locations is difficult). But this riad didn't have any signs, even the man at the reception couldn't explain the location on the phone and refused to meet us on the nearby square. We found it finally by paying a local guy. The location is quite far (15-20 min from Jamaa El Fna) in the old medina quarter. If you're not experienced in Marrakech, you might find it unsafe. The breakfast compared to other riads in Marrakech was quite poor, the bread was not fresh. All together, the riad was a bit worn out and not too cosy. For example, in our room, half of the floor tiles were loose and the bathroom sink was constantly dripping. For the money we paid (1950 MAD for 3 nights) I'm sure you can find a better place in Marrakech.
