Rashit from the reception helped us from the first moment till last second.hotel is very close to everwhere.it has a very nice terrace with very exciting view.good breakfast.wifi works everywhere.cleaning is excellent.the pool in the inner hotel is very lovely.
Iv'e just had a four night stay at the Alamir. This Riad is fantastic, was lovely to stay in a traditional Moroccan hotel, in a great location. Great Breakfast, loved spending quiet time on the pretty terrace. The staff are an amazing, warm & welcoming. A special mention has to go to Rachid, nothing was too much trouble, & being three women on out own he gave us tips on the do's & don'ts of Marrakech. I would recommend this Riad to anyone & would not hesitate to stay here again.
There wasn't anything to dislike about the Riad Alamir. The only small suggestion would be to have a mirror, as there wasn't one in our room.
Very peaceful.Well furnished.Freindly staff.
The crew of Riad Alamir took good care of us. Rasheed and Amine gave us plenty useful tips about the city and made sure we got everything we needed. Ladies were also very hospitable. We were feeling looked after which gives you sense of security. Just be careful what you order in your riad. Every little thing is charged extra. Nothing wrong with that, it's just how it is in Marrakesch. There is a Mosque not far from riad. Some may find the sound comming out of it disturbing just before dawn, personally I was okay with that. I even think it adds to the atmosphere of the place. Breakfast - continental style - is very good. All in all I can recommend this one as the great value for money. When I'm in the city again I'm checking in the Alamir for sure.
HAS DECENT WIFI ON THE GROUND AND FIRST FLOOR. (so inside the room too) The decor is beautiful, the riad is clean, nice bathroom, peaceful and quiet. Nice roof terrace.
Just like almost ALL the other riads in Marrakech - very little soundproofing in the room so you can be heard and hear everything.
place near the square but quiet, food, staff very firendly and helpful
We had a lovely time staying here and were very well looked after. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was very refreshing and great to cool down after wandering round the medina. A great breakfast was laid on each morning and I would definitely recommend riad Alamir.
moroccan decor close to main market square Rachid very helpful
hard to find
The location was excellent. Would have been difficult to find the hotel on our own as it is in the medina but we used the airport shuttle service so it was fine. The hotel is near almost all the main atrractions in Marrakesh. The staff was very helpful, Raschid explained to us in detail on where to go, how to go, the dos and don'ts and also very quick to take care of our needs. We could ask for a simple early breakfast because we had to leave early and they were happy to keep our luggage until our return to the city.
We had insect bites on our first night there. We were put in the Morrocan style room which made us happy at first. But the next day we had bug bites, presumably from insects that infests wood furniture and such. We told the staff n were moved to another room immediately, but the damage was done. They said they hired an exterminator to take care of the problem right away and did not find any insects, but in any case we had the multiple skin reactions to prove it.
Rashid the guardian of the riad was so helpful. He gave us all the information we needed on sights to visit- things to be wary of and communicated on the phone to our transport provider to help drop us off and collect us.We were ideally located in the Medina with easy access to all the sights. The family room was very clean, spacious and quiet with a good breakfast. We would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation for a a family of four with young children.
Very quiet and cozy riad, very friendly staff, especially Rachid, good location. Recommended.
The Riad Alamir is perfectly located in the heart of Marrakech, and Rachid and the staff ensure a very pleasant stay. The place is clean and very pleasant to be in and the breakfast was very excellent.
Our little girls loved Rachid and the food was excellent!
The best thing about this hotel is its staff. All of them are really helpful and amazing and makes your trip a personal experience. Amine and Rashid are really helpful (Rashid even managed to find a really nice lady to baby sit out kids for evenings). Fatima and Samira are really nice cook and the breakfast was something I always looked forward to.
Very friendly staff. Great food. Great location.
Great riad in the heart to Marrakech. 5mins walk to the square and 2mins to the gate where a taxi will drop you. Quiet inside and nice rooftop to relax on. Very helpful staff, clean rooms, yummy breakfast! Family friendly.
WiFi only works in the reception area - wifi isn't great anywhere in the Medina - the fact that you could get wifi at all was a bonus, so this shouldn't put you off this hotel.
The staff at this Riad are amazing. Especially Rashid who was super helpful with advice on Marrakech and anything to do with the Riad. Rooms are nice and the roof top terrace is an awesome place to sit and unwind after a day out. Breakfast was good, authentic Moroccan breakfast which made for a nice change. The location is within the Medina and ideal for exploring. Note, when arriving just pay one of the guys with the push carts about 20/30 Dirhams as Riad is a little hard to locate first time. Dont be put off by this as in my opinion adds to the experience and is the done thing when staying in the maze that is the Medina. Would most definitely stay here again.
I had a wonderful stay at Riad Alamir, and particularly because of wonderful staff Racheed and Amine, who were both so very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, such as bringing extra tea, coffee and cake to my room, extra blankets, directions, reservations at a spa. As a single female traveller I felt reassured by their respectful and kind help. Rebecca
Very friendly staff! Lovely meal on first night (make sure you are hungry!). Great rooftop views. Good recommendations and advice, especially from Rachid. Highly recommended.
We stayed here for 9 nights, with 1 night where we went and stayed in the dessert. Rachid was incredibly helpful, from the first night we arrived. The hotel was lovely and a very moroccan building. The location was ideal for exploring the city.
Unfortunately there were a few niggles. We were asked to pay our entire bill in cash, when it was clear that there was a card machine on the reception counter. As we only had a credit card and some spending cash, this ended up costing us more. The breakfast was also not that great, and was often a little hit and miss as to what was served. By the end of the stay we had eaten our body wight in bread for breakfast! A warning also, if you are looking for a trip recommendation speak to Rachid not the hotel owner. We booked a one night camel safari and were told that the journey would be 4 hours, this was actually 8 and after leaving at 8am we did not actually see a camel till dusk! Be careful who you book your tours with.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. The Riad is peaceful inside and the room on the first floor was quiet. There is a pleasant 2 level roof terrace you can relax on. Good location, it was easy to walk to the main sites from there (subject to not getting lost in Marrakesh's maze of streets!)
Once you know where it is, the riad is easy to reach from the main street, but we spent a while trying to find it when we arrived in the evening - I'd recommend arranging for someone from the Riad to meet you at the gate rather than trying to work it out from a map. You need to pass down a couple of narrow alleyways to reach it.
This hotel is simply lovely! Comfortable, Cosy and Clean!! The hotel is very well located within the gates of the Medina. One of the highlight of our trip was the stay at Riad Alamir and its superb architecture and its amazingly friendly Staff, especially Rachid. We were introduced to Rachid on the first day, who was the super nicest person! He was very helpful and was really friendly and kind. He welcomed us from the Medina Gate to the lovely souk leading to the Hotel. He had answers for all our questions. We never felt lost in a busy city like Marrakech because of Rachid's guidance. The other staff members, Amine and Samira, both were really nice and helpful too. The Hotel looks so traditional Moroccan and the Terrace had a lovely view. Every morning we had a tasty breakfast. Spending time in this hotel made us closer to the Moroccan culture and its incredible hospitality. After the few days of our stay there in Riad Alamir and the incredible hospitality there, we were sad to leave the place and the lovely staff. It felt more like saying goodbye to family. If I go back to Marrakech for vacation, I would surely book at Riad Alamir again and meet Rachid and the staff and enjoy the wonderful hospitality. We would 100 percent recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to visit Marrakech.
We sure enjoyed Rashid's help. Always polite an willing to help. Enjoyed the breakfasts and the location. Rooms were very nice.
The terrace could be more appealing in terms of décor and newer patio furniture. Get rid of the carpets as they are just there for the cats to use. The shower in the room off the foyer floods.
This place has everything you could need - privacy, comfort, perfect location, and unbelievably helpful staff. The staff went to extra lengths to make our stay more comfortable whenever we needed assistance. Very central location and close to the main square (5 - 10 minute walk), the riad is also a very calm place which is nice to return home to after a day in the city. The breakfast was great and he rooms were very clean. If I return to Marrakech, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Location and staff were amazing; would recommend to anyone!
