Set in the heart of the medina, this guest house is a 7-minute walk from Jemaâ el Fna Square and the Koutoubia. You can relax in the pool on the rooftop terrace or in the hammam.
Score from 45 reviews Excellent
We loved it's seclusion but it is still so close to all the souks and attractions that they are easily walkable. Mustafa is a joy and so helpful and friendly. Superb.
Perfect location close to the main square but quite and calm inside. Lovely roof terrace with comfortable loungers, shaded areas, towels and straw hats provided. Lovely pool area on the ground floor with towels always at the ready. Everything beautifully arranged, and well designed. Delicious breakfasts every day with a different fresh fruit most days, fresh orange juice, bread and then either croissants, pain au chocolat or two types of pancake depending on the day. The suite rooms are a good size and well equipped. Beds comfortable. Very good value for money.
So close to the square but very quiet and peaceful. A nice break from the heat and hustle of marrakech.
Nothing. We had a great stay
everything, but especially the host moustapha. this is a great road.
Olivier was very friendly and gave us lots of tips to go and see. Great location near the square. Lots of good hidden restaurants. Beautiful terrace to sunbathe and have breakfast.
The staff was warm and so friendly! It was a peaceful oasis in a great location!
Riad Aloes is a real oasis, it is beautifully decorated and a real pleasure to stay in. The staff were lovely.
Last year we stayed at Riad Aloes and liked it so much that we stayed there again this year. It is a lovely riad in an excellent location, an easy 10-minute walk from Djemma el Fna. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. There is a beautiful courtyard where you can sit and relax. They serve an excellent breakfast on the rooftop terrace. The staff is extremely helpful. They even served us breakfast before the scheduled time when we had an early flight to catch.
So friendly, clean, just a real sense of being in a friends home
Great location and super facilities - really friendly staff and nice food
Lovely terrace, nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Bit hard to find (no signs)
Olivier, Mufasa, Abdul and all the staff were great. My friends and I had two rooms in the Riad - both were very nicely set out and spotlessly clean. The roof terrace is a nice place to relax and where they serve a delicious breakfast to guest each morning. The staff are also more than happy to help with restaurant recommendations and bookings. Location is also great. Close to everything but still on a quite side street. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech
Vey cool feel, really authentic. Perfectly quiet right in the medina. huge bathroom comes with the twin room.
Perfect location in Mouassine quarters! Nice roof terraces, nice service
The house on the other side of the alley, that one day in november broke down by the rain, gave me a feeling of unsafety. Didn´t like to pass the ruins when walking by myself, especially not in the dark. The price a little high, but anyway OK
Excellent location - easy to find your way to/from main sq etc. Recommend to anyone who hasnt been before that they book a taxi to collect from airport on arrival! Staff were all excellent, breakfast delicious! Highly recommend!
Breakfast Wonderful staff
The place was our haven in the Medieval town We used the roof top area to chill & tan during the day & the tables beside the pool to eat & drink! My daughter & her fiancée also loved their stay At the Riad Aloes The Owner & Staff encouraged us to feel relaxed & at home! It was truly a fantastic stay! I lost my wallet in the mountains - my phone died- but the Manager & Staff guided me through the process & even allowed me to phone my bank in the UK!
The pool was on the cool side - but it was winter & it did not stop us having a dip But I did not stay in too long (I was too nesh)
Lovely, friendly staff. Great location.
Very friendly staff, located in the heart of the madina. Great plunge pool and roof terrace. Each room was very individual and well appointed
The house opposite needed renovation which didnt help first impressions when arriving. But after that every thing was great
Beautiful and simple riad. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Loved it and would definitely stay again!
Everything was perfect but for my own personal choice, I would have liked the shower to be more powerful.... perhaps all riads have in Medina have low water pressure?
Excellent place to stay and quality to price ratio is good. Friendly and accomodating staff and also the english speaking french owner. We would definitely stay there again next visit to Marrakech and also recommend it to friends going there.
The Local staff (Mustafa) was a good help. The WiFi was working in ground floor and our room.
The location of the Riad is itself unapproachable by taxi. Inspite of requesting the staff (Mr. Olivier Masson, the owner), they failed to meet us in train station. It created lot of inconvenience as taxi can not go inside the old city (Medina). We were left outside the medina. You need a porter to carry your luggage inside the Medina. Olivier masson however met us at this juncture and provided porter to carry our luggage to the Riad. Hence a lot of confusion, uncertainty and inconvenience. Riads are not usual 4 star hotel. Although they charge at par with the 4 star hotel, they have no such similar facilities. The house is very conjested, the rooms pretty small, bathrooms are old type. The space for movement inside the room was very less with no space to keep the luggage. The breakfast was included in the room rent although it was very basic with a small bowl of fruit, yogurt, bread and orange juice. The approach road to this Riad is very bad with narrow lanes full of filth and stinck and materials from broken building opposite this Riad. I had booked this through Booking.com. All in all, it was not worth the money as you pay at par with a 4 star hotel with absolutely no comfort or convenience of a hotel. I feel, that the very concept of Riad is a way of cheating people who are unaware of the situation of Medina which are exteremly dirty, crowded, filthy. No one in right mind would like to spend so much money on a place like this for a vacation or holiday unless they come at a very cheap rate. It may be a good option for a bagpacker but certainly not for family who would like to spend their days of holiday in comfort.
Olivier and his staff made our stay in Marrakech. He arranged our taxis to and from the airport, nothing during our stay was too much trouble. Riad Aloes was the perfect location for a stay in Marrakech.
Pretty much everything was brilliant: honestly. The owner and staff were extremely helpful, attentive and kind, and made us feel welcome immediately. The location is ideal: central yet secluded, and the breakfasts were lovely. A beautifully decorated and calm place to retreat to after a day exploring the Medina. We'd really recommend it as a place to stay.
Well, this is a tricky one. I may be wrong but... a misunderstanding over the price of dinner one evening at the riad did leave a bit of a bitter taste on paying the bill on the last day. A pity really, especially because we had been saving some extra dirhams to show a little of our appreciation to the staff for all their hard work and care. But, other than this: excellent.
superb location less than 5 minute walk to jemma el fna. fresh comfortable bed and bedding. good breakfasts and an excellent dinner. great pool with jacuzzi. staff friendly and helpful . highly recommended
we had to come home
