Superb,
Score from 502 reviews
“ Good location, very kind staff, clean room and beautiful decoration. I can't find anything bad side about this hotel. I definitely stay at Riad Aleachma, if I have a chance to visit Marrakesh again. I've also got a massage at their hammam. It was relaxing and my skin became as a baby skin!!! ”

None of your words can justify Alwachma. It is an amazing riad with excellent service and staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The hammam and massage was heavenly. Really worth the money. nothing.

One night at this lovely Riad was definitely not enough! It was as nice as we expected from the photos - the room was presented beautifully on our arrival with rose petals on the bed, etc. Very welcoming! The staff were very helpful and the dinner they arranged for us on the terrace was delicious (recommended!). There a lovely feeling of space here - rooms big, plus we have been to other Riads where the stairs are so narrow & steep that you pray you haven't left something in your room and need to go back up! A very positive experience - would not hesitate to go back.

An excellent place to enjoy traditional Moroccan hospitality. It's custom restored classic moorish house with nice interiors and professional staff. English speaking staff specially Ameen was extremely helpful! and Geefa(I'm afraid the spellings may not be correct) was extraordinary in her dealing, upon reception and giving orientation of the city and its attractions! I had only one days reservation and had to move to another riad, which was okay but not comparable to alwachma! It's location is good as it lies on the boundary of old medinah and the modern Marrakech, which is the hub of nightlife!

We loved the decor of the Riad. The bedrooms overlooked a pretty central courtyard with a small pool full of rose petals. It was in a very good situation, in the same road as Maison Arabe, one of the most prestigious hotels in Marrakech, so good neighbours! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only 10 minutes walk to the main square.

Extremely nice staff! The riad is quiet, calm and relaxing. I particularly love the terrace and the breakfast (the only one with omelet we had in Morocco!). The riad is actually not so hard to find, after your taxi dropped you off in front of La Maison Arabe, there is a small street just left to it (when you face to La Maison Arabe and the mosquée at your back) where you can find a metal plate that says "Riad Alwachma". Just ignore anyone that talks to you on the street and asks you where you're going. Don't talk to them at all. They always ask money after and never give up easily. If you want to avoid the harassment, you can always pay 20 euros and ask the Riad to pick you up at the airport. Just to know, we paid only 30 dirham (3 euros) by finding a taxi ourselves.... Anyway, the riad deserve absolutely all the credit. I definitely recommend it.

The riad and its hosts are just perfect for your stay in Marrakesh! It is very close to the airport and the Djema el Fnaa and the Souks. The hosts care for you very well and fulfill you every wish. Also the roof top terrace is very beautiful and a perfect way to relax from the busy city. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

We stayed 3 nights at the Ezzahra room. It is a confortable accomodation, enough size for a couple, very silent, cleaned every day and well decorated. The breakfast was good and enough, but every day the same options - breads, jam, orange juice, tea and no fresh fruits. The localization is one of the best points - close to the Jemaa El Fna square, Medina and quite easy to find (just few steps from La Maison Arabe - a famous restaurant and the best reference point for taxi drivers). The riad has an unforgettable smell and the staff is lovely and polite. We had a gorgeus dinner per 15 euros (delicious couscous, morocan soup and dessert). The pictures on the website do not lie, the riad is exactly the same (plus the adorable smell)! 2 points that we did not like: (1) We took an excursion to Essaouira offered by the riad and the only option offered was with lunch included. When we arrived in Essaouira we realized the lunch could be optional. We thought the riad includes the lunch to have a commision. We had nice food at the restaurant but spent lot of time waiting for the lunch. (2) The room tarifs and menu prices at the riad should be in the local currency (Dirham) not in Euros. You can spend lots of money in the currency conversion. The riad does not have the best convertions.

Attractive riad in a decent location. Excellent shower and bathroom, and very comfortable bed. Very nice roof terrace. Convenient location for coming by car. Our room was on the ground floor and gave out onto the reception area, so it lacked privacy. This is the case for about half the rooms in the riad. Not ideal for a honeymoon, in other words! The food was also no better than average - don't bother with dinner.

Beautiful, friendly Riad, very clean with great bathroom and shower! Loved it. Food is also good, especially the Harira soup and meat Tajine, and you can even get a nice glass of wine in the evening in their dining area. A little den of tranquility in a busy city!

The staff are fantastic. For a budget Riad I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, the quality of the bedlinen and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfasts are great, with something different every day. Dinner was also very good and excellent value for money. I enjoyed my stay at Riad Alwachma so much that I'm going back to stay there again in a few weeks time - and have the Hammam I didn't have time for on my first visit. There was nothing I didn't like. Riad Alwachma doesn't have a pool but has a nice sun terrace - and there is a shower area. I didn't need a pool and chose Riad Alwachma because there is a lounge with a log fire for the cooler winter evenings .

Very satisfied with this hotel, I would recommend to anyone planning to visit Marrakech. If we ever return to Marrakech, we will definitely stay in this hotel (we stayed in 3 different hotels). The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming, we had a problem with our return flight and the staff really did their best to help us cope with the situation. The breakfast was really good and the hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. Location is excellent, quiet and safe and within a short distance from the main square and souks. My boyfriend took the hammam and I had manicure + pedicure, we were both very happy with the service. No complaints whatsoever!!
