Nice staff who arranged pickup and met us and talked about the area sights to see etc, nice breakfasts and very helpful, good hot water pressure and couch in the large bedroom, has a rooftop too
We stayed at three Riads during our one week stay in Morocco and this one was by far the best. Excellent service and Omar was very helpful and very friendly. He made us feel very welcome throughout our stay, arranged our transfer from the airport and personally brought us directly to the Riad. He even purchased bus tickets for us to go to Essaouira. He gave us tips on how expensive things should cost when bargaining in the Souk and what were the best places for sightseeing. The terrace and atmosphere was very modern and the small dipping pool was very refreshing! The black and white cat roaming around was also very friendly. The Moroccan tea was the best I had tasted compared against the other Riads I had stayed at, and the breakfast was well presented in traditional Moroccan kitchenware. You can easily access the Souk and Djemma El Fna within 10 minutes walking. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.
Not really a negative but a heads up for people who expect to have their towels changed everyday: ours were not changed during our three night stay, but this is probably because water is generally not in abundance in Morocco. Probably if you ask they would change them for you. As stated in previous reviews, beware that there is no full door separating the bathroom from the bedroom - just two swinging bar-like doors you see in old Western movies. Therefore unless you are with family or really close friends, you may be uncomfortable. There was only a small piece of soap for washing your hands so I would recommend a larger piece.
Hamada was a great host he arranged pickup by emailing me in advance and everything went smoothly once train time confirmed. He was very welcoming and gave us a map and explained important sights and distances. The breakfast was nice fresh juice and bread and croissants and Lipton tea, I hadn't had one in weeks! Soooo good! When we were out shopping he spotted us and offered to carry it back on his motor bike which was great as we were doing last minute buying! The pool is small but clean if you want to have a "dip" the terrace is nice too. Our room was huge with excellent hot water pressure and great A/C! It had a sitting area also with nice traditional decor. Nice mattress after so many hard ones in morocco! Highly recommended!! Only 4 rooms so there is excellent service!
The hospitality is very good and , the riad has a very typical maroccan feeling and beautiful traditional interior design.
Kind, helpful staff and fantastic breakfasts.
Beautifully decorated and authentic Riad in the Medina. Everything worked perfectly and the staff were so friendly and helpful- we were served breakfast on the terrace whenever we wanted (sometimes we wanted 7am, other days noon), they booked us bus tickets and even brought me tea and medicine when I wasn't feeling well. Really felt like our home!
A bit difficult to find, but if you call they will come and meet you!
Very nice riad, clean and good breakfast. The staff is very helpful.
The staff have been very, very kind and helpful. The ryad is decorated with an excellent taste... everything was perfect.
A bit of noise coming from the outside and the glass door of the room that doesn't give you the intimaty one would lile.
great location, great staff (picked me up from the airport a night early after I messed up my booking). Perfect little Riad.
JUST BOOK THIS RIAD AND FEEL AT HOME Excellent value for money Hamanda and Fatima were so gracious and could not do enough for us. Our first time in Marakesh and just wanted authentic accommodation and that's what we got. A clean room and excellent breakfast and hosts that would sort anything out for you including cutting our lamp in half as it was to big for our case, thank you Hamanda The location was excellent as was the taxi pick up even at 11pm! If you are looking for a Riad book this one.
Very friendly staff speaking good English. Nice atmosphere and quiet in the heart of the Medina.
Needed assistance to find.
We stayed at 3 different raids in marrakesh and I liked this one the best for its size and the way that the interior was furnished. This was the smallest of the three and it felt more comfortable overall. More like a home than a mansion. The interior was very beautiful and the owner / caretaker was very genuine, nice and courteous.
The hosts, Hamada and Fatima, were incredibly gracious and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included, the food was plentiful. The riad is very tastefully decorated in traditional Moroccan style with beautiful ornaments and plants in every corner, creating a wonderful ambience. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, comfortable and a good size. The location was ideal, extremely quiet and tranquil yet less than a 20 minute walk to Koutoubia or Jemaa el Fna. Fairly sure we would have been useless trying to find it at first, there are no signs. We booked our airport transfer directly through Hamada (€15), and were very glad we did - the taxi driver dropped us off in the square just nearby and Hamada was there to meet us and show us in. Overall an incredibly beautiful riad and everything was great, would highly recommend.
Only one tiny thing - no door between bedroom and bathroom, just a curtain (which we were expecting as we'd read previous reviews). The curtain was part see-through as well.
Very friendly staff; great breakfast; roof terrace. The place was very quiet.
The bed was a bit short for us (we're + 6 ft) and not the most comfortable type.
-friendly staff -breakfast was great! -decoration of the room was superb!
-Difficult to find -No privacy: glass windows and doors to main hall. -Quite some noise coming in from main hall and outside.
Absolutely great riad, charming, well maintained and very beautiful. We loved our stay, it really felt like we were visiting good friends. From riad, it's very easy to walk to the Djemma El Fna, about 10 min if you take the easy way (less interesting) and 15 min if you go through the souks (absolutely wonderful). Hamada, thank you very much for the wonderfull stay and for making us feeling at home!
3rd adult for free. Wifi working in rooms. Hamada and Fatima were kind and helpful. Breakfast was fair. We called Hamada as we were surrounded by somewhat hostile men when getting out of the taxi, and he came straight away, and also helped us with the luggage.
Pool wasn't really a 'working' pool, the water didn't seem to be filtered regularly so we didn't use the pool unfortunately. Location was evaluated here as 'fair', if you want the real medina experience, as the locals live it, the location is good, but to get there, you have excrement, broken dusty streets etc. All in all, would recommend this riad, especially for budget yet authentic stay.
The staff is great. Very good conditions. A very good spot to relax after the madness of Marrakech. The location, may not seems so good, but once you get inside it's totaly worth it...
Great staff, very welcoming, a very nice location-close to Jamaa El Fna square and the market. The room was great!
It was a bit wired not to have a proper door to the Toilet\shower.
