Quiet oasis in the chaos of the Medina. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Comfortable rooms; on the ground floor you don't even hear the early-morning call for prayer! Recommend asking for pick-up from the airport.
Simple, peaceful and authentic Riad. Navigating through the Medina can always be tricky, but the gps on my phone was working which made it very easy to find our way from Jemma El Fna, taking only 10/15mins. The location is perfect for exploring. The owner speaks french and we spoke only english, however, she is so warm and friendly! There was a man who spoke great english and was so helpful, having tea and moroccan sweets with us on arrival, taking the time to recommend places for us to visit and showing us the way on a map. The hosts are genuinely wonderful! Its possible to be taken to/from the airport by their driver for 10 euros. We would definitely come back here and recommend it.
it was a cozy, authentic riad. When you finally get there, it turns out it's a very good location for exploring medina. Clean, hot water, tasty breakfast, staff was very helpful, although the host didn't speak English ( too bad for us, because she was very talkative and amusing).
For the first time it can be tricky to find it.
This is a traditional riad converted into a guest house and it gave an authentic experience of staying in Marrakech. The staff was very welcoming and helpful offering us tea and cookies on arrival and a nice breakfast (included in price)
The bathroom didnt have a door, it only has a curtain separating the bathroom from the bedroom.
Everything was excellent. The most pleasant were the staff and another thing that made my jorney comfortable was the riad location: you always find it - that is very important when you are staying in Medina.
Central Location Friendly staff Always able to give information needed very caring staff
Very nice owner and staff Excellent location Simple, but charming accommodation/atmosphere Breakfast
Clean and nice place, not so far from Dzhema-al-Fna.
The staff can only tell you "without any problems". But in fact internet doesn't work well. "Of course, it's Morocco" they said us about it. Also they don't accept credit cards. When we tried to pay by card they up charged us 5% more but it didn't help - machine didn't work. "We didn't use it for 3-5 month" they said. To be sure that the problem is not with our card we checked owner's card and result was the same. But when I asked Booking.com why they put wrong information that Riad accepts credit cards - they contacted the owner and she said that machine is working and there is only one problem - with our card (no limit etc)...It was so unpleasant!!! We didn't have enough cash because we believed that Booking.com doesn't lie. So I paid very big comission for getting money from ATM and it was poor finish of our trip.
The Riad was a wonderful haven from the frenetic alleys of the Marrakech medina. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the main Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Upon our arrival, we were offered mint tea and Moroccan sweets. The rooms are simple, clean, and quiet. The courtyard, where breakfast was served each morning, was beautifully designed with authentic Moroccan motifs. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. As the other reviewers mentioned, the Owner speaks only French. She was delightful to converse with (assuming you know French), and was instrumental in helping us find transportation to Tangiers. Overall, I would highly recommend this Riad.
As recommended by others, ask the Riad to provide transportation from the airport (approximately 10 Euros). This is worth the money, as the Riad is very difficult to find in the maze of the old Medina.
