I love everything about this Riad: perfect location, staff, rooms are amazing, cleanliness, food is very delicious, awesome terrace and it has a fireplace!!!
Habiba was so friendly and helpful. The place looked and smelled beautiful and service was excellent. Food was delicious and all the little extras, from tea on arrival to the petals spread around made the stay feel that bit more special.
Nothing. If I was being very picky I would suggest better signage to find it but no complaints at all once the door of Riad Anabel is opened to guests.
Helpful owners, quiet rooms, fantastic marroccan breakfast, good location, Thanks Habiba:))
- Staff & customer service 10/10 - Location is good, close to main square (Jamaa el Fna) 10 minute walk - Beautiful decor and rooms - Excellent breakfast and dinner
We have just spent four lovely days and nights being looked after by Habiba and her staff at Riad Anabel. It is an experience I would definitely repeat. We loved the food she prepared for our evening arrival so much that we ate in the riad every night. My husband and I also had the Cookery School experience learning to make some of the delicious starters and desserts we had enjoyed as guests. We even went to the market with Habiba in the afternoon to choose the best quality ingredients for our filo pastry pie main course. Our stay in the spacious Olivier suite was comfortable and cosy and we loved the painted shutters and old photos of Morocco which form part of the thoughtful décor.I plan to return bringing other members of my family and know that they won't get lost as Habiba is at the end of the pre-programmed mobile she lends guests to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend a stay here and you will only be five minutes from the main square in one direction or three minutes on foot to a stop on the tourist bus route in the other direction.
Everything was perfect. Fab location easy walking distance to everything. So many tittle things thought of like tissues and water and European adapters in the room. Habiba gave us so much excellent advice on where to go and what to see. We had dinner on our first night, in the dining room with a roaring fire delicious. Breakfast we were spoilt for choices. I would definitely go back again.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Everyrhing was more than fantastic...a boutique hotel
Everything is superb: the rooms, the location, the food, the staff, the value for money. I highly recommend at least one dinner at the hotel, Habiba's cooking is a must!!!!
Bit worried when getting handed over to barrow boy from the taxi, but he guided us to the riad!! lovely surprise when we entered the riad and our room, it was beautiful. very good position, a few minutes to the square where you will probably want to start each day and night. staff very welcoming, thanks to them.
I wont say i didnt like it, but dont be too shocked about some of the areas around the riad and the medina, it part of the experience.
A great authentic experience, lovely room, perfect location, excellent breakfasts and Habiba catered to our every need.
We liked the central location with the peace and quiet of the Riad The food and rooms were excellent in all respects The manageress (Habiba)was helpful in every way and ensured that all ran smoothly All of the staff were unobtrusively attentive and friendly in every way- nothing was too much trouble Most highly recommended
- Location was less than 10 mins from main square - Amazing breakfasts - Completely dark and quiet room - Brilliant service - Delicious dinner at Riad prepared by Habiba and team - Excellent Hammam experience in the Riad
This was a perfectly situated and very beautiful riad, just five minutes from the square. Habiba (manager) was extremely helpful and kind. The breakfasts were excellent, including all sorts of Moroccan dishes including an egg tagine and delicious breads, cakes, jams, olives etc. Ample coffee and hot milk too.
Bed and pillows were a little hard, but we still slept well after busy days sightseeing!
Very, very, extremely friendly staff. Habiba took care of us like special guests. The Riad itself is conveniently well situated since you are close to everywhere, but it's still calm at night. The rooms are beautiful and fresh. The breakfast... OMG to die for! Our idea of Marrakech is probably that good because of this place. We stayed at Olive's room. 100% recommended. Don't hesitate, you won't find something better. I did an exhaustive research and this was by far the best.
I loved everything.
The food was absolutely delicious. Bravo.
We booked a Sahara tour through the hotel and paid significantly more than the other people on our trip.
Riad Anabel is the most beautiful location I have ever had the pleasure of staying in while travelling. The Riad is an attraction it itself, and epitomises Moroccan culture and elegance. The room was beyond anything I could have imagined or hoped for when I planned this trip (particular my 'Oliver Suite'). Its decor was gorgeous, and the furniture and bathroom were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Habiba is the ideal host, and really has thought of everything a guest could want. She provides all the information required to enjoy Marrakesh (including excellent suggestions for dining), and will organise any activities than you could want to enjoy in the area (in our case a camel ride to a Berber village and a private massage). Her optional dinner was a culinary delight (especially the delicious and unique 'Habiba salad'), and I would highly recommend reserving this meal which you will enjoy in the beautiful courtyard under the stars. Habiba provides all guests with a mobile phone to ensure that even when outside the Riad, she is always available to assist at any time and in any circumstance (gladly we did not require such a service, but felt better to have this option). The diverse Moroccan breakfast was the perfect start to each day, and I could not find any fault with this location. Riad Anabel is the dream 'home' for anyone travelling to Marrakesh, especially at such great value.
The staff were excellent. Always so helpful, they would go out of their way if there was anything they could do to help. Brilliant extra 'finishing touches', like romantic rose petals on the bed, a travel adapter etc. Location is great- easy to find our way between key places but not too overwhelming. We also had a transfer arranged as we arrived after 8pm, was worth the cost as a person met us from the taxi (cars are not allowed inside the medina) and took us right to our room- could not have done it without him. We had a meal on the terrace which was lovely, a very nice setting (my partner found the tagine a tad salty but other than that it was lovely). Breakfast each morning was incredible- we did not have lunch one single day, fresh pastries, pancakes, brad, fruit salad, yoghurt etc. More than you could eat! Full recommend this excellent Riad, one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. We'd return for sure if we go back to Marrakech.
We stayed in the chocolate room which is on the ground floor, off the courtyard. The soundproofing wasn't great- we could hear other guests and staff coming and going, chatting etc quite loudly, however I appreciate that in a traditional riad this would be difficult to change.
Habiba was so helpful as soon as we made our booking she emailed to see if we needed a taxi or food on arrival. The poor was so refreshing after walking around in the heat.
Beautiful room, amazing shower, good breakfast, sweet staff, nice service. We wished we could stay longer.
Wifi was slow. いちおうリヤド内ではWifiが使えるのですがとにかく遅いです。
Never had a more warmhearted stay then here. The staff is so helpfull and friendly! Our room looked wonderfull, very clean and all details of the room were looked at. We realy would love to visit Riad Annabel again! Thank you so much! Wifi and location also great. Close to the big famous square, 5 min walk! Breakfast is great. We also had diner here one time. Best food we had and they made it very romantic. Lovely!!
We stayed in Riad Anabel the four last nights of Ramadan 2014 and had an absolutely amazing time! Immediately after booking we were already contacted by Habiba to inquire whether we would like an airport pickup and dinner in the Riad. We accepted both and are still happy with that choice! After a smooth pickup from the airport the welcome in the Riad was perfect. The idyllic picture of our dinnertable, set in the courtyard lit by candles and with the smell of overhanging flowers and chirping of little birds is one to always remember. The dinner itself was amazing, each of the courses delicious with its own unique Morrocan flavour. We had lunch and dinner in several other places in Marrakech, but enjoyed the food in the Riad so much that we "treated" ourselves to it again on the last night! The room (Olive) was lovely, clearly every detail had been thought of, a tasteful design with a luxurious Moroccan feel to it. An wonderful breakfast on the roof terrace, a swim in the courtyard pool, or just relaxing in one of the many lounging spots. In the hot or late hours of the day the Riad offers every possibility to relax and enjoy! Habiba was extremely helpful in providing a map, tips for where to go and eat, and booking us a wonderful Hammam experience. All in all, the perfect introduction to Marrakech, we would definitely recommend this Riad and stay here again if we have the chance. Thank you Habiba and staff!
The staff were friendly. Great location and breakfast. Was a nice place to go back to after spending the day in intense Marrakech!
it was a dream came true, thanks to Habiba and her staff.
that we had to go.
My 5 day stay in the Riad, before I moved to a conference hotel in the new part of the city, was just fantastic! A very beautiful place, nice room, excellent service with fantastic food prepared every night. The location was also spot on, highly recommended to all!
