I LOVED my time at Riad Andalib. Everyone on staff, including the owner, were so kind and helpful. The owner gave me an orientation, including a map and helped me plan my visit in Fez. He checked in with me several times to see how my trip was, and stay at the hotel. The room was gorgeous and heated (huge plus for the cold nights in the winter). I had vegetarian couscous, and vegetarian sides, which were delicious. I highly recommend this RIad for a weekend in Fes.
The warm welcome from the staff, and all the useful information received on the city. Both breakfast and dinner were very good.
The riad is wonderful, with a beautiful decor, in a perfect place to go visit the ancient medina but not inside of it (better!). It's easy to find for a taxi. But the thing we appreciated most is Reibal, our excellent guest, who gave us the right tips to visit the medina by our own, and was always present when needed, helpful, kind and cultivated. Was really a pleasure tu meet him.
Location Friendly staff Helpful owner Wonderful room Tasty food Nothing was too much for this place as they went out of their way to ensure all went well!
Everything was great! We were made to feel very welcome although we arrived quite late (with no luggage as it got lost in Casablanca airport!). All the staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, the bed was very comfortable, our room was awesome and the wine delicious!
Courtesy and willingness of staff to be helpful. Particular mention should be made of Salma,Immanuel and akram.
Shower area too small for comfort and impossible to squeeze shower Gail and shampoo from the little dispensers.
Believe all the amazing reviews ... this place is a gem. I've travelled all over the world and my experience at Riad Andalib stands out as one of the best I've had. The hotel is beautiful, with its amazing courtyard, and right by the medina (but accessible by car, so you don't have to walk through confusing streets, definitely an advantage). The rooms are huge, even better than the pictures. We were so comfortable. The best WiFi access in Morocco that we found (important for us as we had to do some work at night). But the best part of the experience was the staff. The owners (brothers) were amazing, always downstairs, attentive to every need. They helped me get medicine when I got a bit ill, by calling around and finding a pharmacy open (it was a holiday). Selma, a delightful young woman, attended to our every need when we ate at the restaurant, even offering to bring up food to the room when I was sick. She always greeted us with a smile. There is also always someone outside the Riad who will help you get a taxi and negotiate a price w/ the driver so they won't rip you off. Another amazing thing: the food. The cous cous, pastels, and tagines were some of the best we had in morocco, for very reasonable prices. The breakfast was delicious and huge. I can't say enough good things about this riad. Just stay there!!!
Nothing negative, everything perfect.
This has to be by far the best Riad ever. From the food which is fantastic, to the building which is magnificent, to the owner who knows each guest individually, to the staff that genuinely care about your comfort. The owner spent time explaining the medina and what to see, how much you should expect to pay for taxis ect. He sorted out the tours you were interested in with probably the most knowledgable guide in Fez. Mohammed the Guide told you not only about Moroccos history as he drove us but also about every aspect of Morroco today, from social to political issues. Fascinating experience.
The price was TOO cheap for what you got.
Everything! First off Reibal, the owner, is reason enough to stay at Riad Andalib. He has taken so much pride in his establishment (the food, the curated staff, the design...) but it is his dedication to your satisfaction, safety and comfort that make this THE choice for your stay in Fes. We arrived very late to the hotel and were shown our room without any need to register..."just sleep," and they took care of formalities in the morning. Breakfast was great every day and anything you wanted was on order. Reibal and his staff made sure we felt comfortable with the crazy and confusing medina and told us exactly how to interact with the locals to ensure we weren't hassled or ripped off. He arranged drivers for us to carry on to our next city and even the next. Constant affirmations "not too worry," and to "enjoy" ourselves. He even put out extra workout equipment on the rooftop when we told him we would likely do some exercises up there in the morning. Reibal and his staff treated us like family...it was our home away from hime in Fes!
Friendliness and helpfullness of all the staff at Riad Andalib. Nothing was too much trouble. Easy access to the Medina. Only 30 mins max from airport by private transfer, organsied by the Raid. Great breakfasts!
Bed was a tad on the firm side but that's purely personal taste!
When we arrived the boss gave us a twenty minute talk over a cup of tea. He explained what to do and what not to do. Where to go and where not to go. All of his info stood us in good stead for our visit
Wonderful staff, good breakfast, loved the roof deck and restaurant. Room was nicely appointed and large. I loved soaking in the tub after the grime of Fes.
Typical riad in that rooms have no outside windows (likely a blessing given the noise of Fes) but still makes rooms somewhat stuffy and dark.
Conviently situated on the edge of the medina, Riad Andalib is a beautifully restored, traditional Fes grand dwelling. It was a thrilling experience to breakfast by the courtyard fountain surrounded by the excuisite plasterwork and tiling. The rooftop bar and restaurant is stylish and relaxing. The gracious service was a highlight of our stay, friendly, personal but not intrusive. A lovely place to stay in Fes.
Receive such a warm, genuine welcome and smile with every stay. A real "home from home". Wonderful terrace restaurant. Beautiful, traditional décor. Devine breakfast. Immaculate rooms. The loveliest team who make every effort to look after you. Highly recommended.
We had such a wonderful experience. The owner was very hospitable and helped us organize our transport and and guide to tour the local medina in fez.The riad is beautiful and the staff is excellent. We hope one day to return.
That we only spent 1 night. Wish we had been able to stay longer.
Great staff, great food, great facilities, stunning decor. Reibal's advice on seeing the Medina was perfect.
I'm not big on stairs, but they carried our bags up for us.
Warm welcome by the owner of the property and his honesty.
Amazing Riad. Great rooms and great staff. Highly recommend!
Absolutely everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived we felt as though we were valued guests. Nothing was too much trouble. Every morning Reibal had a chat with us to make sure that everything was OK, to ask about our previous day and to find out our plans for that day, and to offer advice if neeed. The rooms are excellent, with a nice sitting area and lovely bathrooms. We used the roof terrace a lot, for relaxing after a day in the medina, or for the evening meal and drinks. The food was excellent [especially the chicken and lemon tagine]. This is a beautiful riad; don't hesitate to stay here, you will have a wonderful experience
Nothing at all.
I had a very good nights in this Riad. The place is very confortable, the room is awesome big, and the staff is very very kindly. We received very good information about the city that allowed us to visit it in just one day.
I loved everything about the Riad. Perfect location, beautiful place, wonderful food and most importantly, AMAZING service. The owner, Reibal, sits down with each guest, over mint tea and makes excellent recommendations according to your preferences. The dinner was to die for so make sure to try it! And basically, do not stay anywhere else in Fes!
Great location, Great staff, Great food, very clean We stayed at riad Andalub for 2 nights. We wish we have stayed more. It is very easy to find, you just need to follow the instruction that Reibel (the owner) will give you. The service and cleanness was at level of a 5 star hotel with a difference that in Andalub you really feel at home. Reibel and his lovely staffs are really professional and treated us as of we are frineds for years. His advises to see the city were perfect. With his advises you won't need any guide. The restaurant offers the best quality food. The kebab was so delicious and honestly was the best kebab I have ever had. Try also Harira soup, it is fantastic.
Very attractive place with great ambience, an oasis of calm on the edge of the medina so that your taxi could take you right to the door. Staff were delightful and always ready to help. We were given an upgraded room so that we could be near our friends, very much appreciated. I arrived with a case of Moroccan tummy and got five star treatment. Soup made especially for me and tissanes of oregano and also congee to settle my stomach. Riebal (the lion) knew exactly what would help. He is a cosmopolitan man who runs the Riad expertly and knows exactly what is going on both inside and outside the Riad. He sat us down when we arrived and gave us the run down on how to avoid false guides etc and made suggestions as to where we should begin in getting to know Fes. A great experience and I would recommend this Riad highly.
Would have appreciated tooth mugs and having fresh bottles of water in the room each day. One night there was no water at all and one can't use the tap water for drinking.
the owner was very helpful, he gave not only advise for our stay in fes but also for the planning of our trip in marocco thereafter service was overall excellent dinner on the roof terrace was great perfect location in fes
There was nothing NOT to like about this place. Riad Andalib was beyond our expectation, the hotel has the Moroccan cultural ambiance. The owner,Reibal, was very welcoming and took the time to explain the set up of the city and gave advise on what to see and do in 2 days. The staff, Hassan and Imet were GREAT and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and plenty . We would most definitely recommend this place and would visit again. They also looked after our son who was sick And made special meal for him to accommodate his illness
