We had a great stay here with Christophe and his 'family' of staff. Christophe was extremely helpful, organising excursions, dinner and an amazing Hammam for us - which made our trip hugely enjoyable! A delicious Moroccan breakfast and huge smiles from all his staff set us up for a great day in Marrakech every morning! We would absolutely stay again - thanks Christophe and crew!
The locations was perfect!!! The breakfast was delicious, the people that worked there were very friendly and helpful, and overall I just really enjoyed my stay here :)
Enthusiastic, competent staff, creative decor, great location
The staff are amazing
I found this hotel expensive. The location is obscure and breakfast consisted of bread and butter nothing substantial. There are plenty of other hotels far cheaper around the same area.
Brilliant Riad is a wonderful location. Staff are excellent an can not do enough for you. Would definitely recomment
Quality accomodation, very clean, comfortable bed, quite room, exquisitively decorated ambience, good breakfast with local specialities, but what really made our time special was the hospitality, warmth of the owner Christophe and ALL his staff. They made us feel we were part of the family. Thank you for a fabulous stay
Christophe, Younes and the girls made you feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The beds were really comfortable and we felt safe.
Nothing really. Maybe just a hair dryer and bigger towels?
The riad is very cosy with good atmosphere. The people there are like one big family. The location couldn’t be better and the terrace on the roof is amazing. Cristopher is very charismatic, nice and funny. He knows the city very well and can suggest good places to eat, buy stuff, etc.
It was my first time in Marrakesh and I have been astonished by the spectacular colors, the sounds, the tastes, and the great atmosphere of the town. The Riad Andalla is a jewel in a jewel, an intimate hideaway right in the heart of the town. The terrace offerers a terrific view of the town and the Jemaa el Fna. It is a perfect spot for morning breakfasts or lazy afternoons over Marrakesh roofs. The rest of the house has a great and romantic atmosphere, with its colored and warm rooms, has been definitely our moroccan home. Last (but not least), the owner is a perfect host. Always enthusiastic and friendly (as his gentle staff), helped us with tips, recommendations and reservations for hammams and restaurants. We also enjoyed a real home-made moroccan dinner (upon request). Amazing.
You can rely on all the previous positive comments about this place: Riad Andalla is truly like a private home, warm, welcoming and charming. Christopher is a great hosts, who tries to share, like a friend, his love for this city and his experiences about this country. Follow all his suggestions and you will discover nice city views and you will eat great local food. The location is unbeatable, just on top of the main square, where everything goes on, from sunrise until midnight. You can spend hours on their terraces, looking at the square life, and contemplating the city roofs, the Koutoubia, the Atlas mountains and the panorama. Every hour is different. The riad is very well furnished, pleasantly warm in winter (not all riads are well heated), and with several comfortable corners, tables, couches and nice details. I stayed 3 nights in Suite Bachahamou and 1 night in room Kamar and I found them bigger than in pictures. You can find more luxurious riads in town, but no one will give the same atmosphere and for sure will not offer the same terrace city view.
We were made to feel welcome immediately by the beaming, friendly and helpful staff, who sat us down to relax with a welcome tea while they carried the bags to our room. The location was perfect right in the heart of and overlooking "the action" in the Djemma El F'na. A tranquil oasis, and very quiet at night. The rooms and bed very comfortable, lots of hot water all day all was spotless and beautifully maintained. We had booked for 3 nights but loved it so much we changed our travel places to add an extra 4 nights! Christophe the owner is a delight to meet and so helpful in his advice and directions. Marrakech could confuse even the most intrepid of first time travellers. Enjoy! John and Ellie Picone An very mature couple from Sydney Australia
Nothing at all - just a bit of confusion trying to locate the Riad for the first time. Some discreet directional signs would be good.
Riad Andalla is a very value-for-money kind of accomodation in Marrakech. Rooms were rather small and there was no TV, but then again who needs a huge room and TV anyway if you're meant to go out and experience what Marrakech has to offer? The riad is near the market square, breakfast at the top floor was amazing, and the manager Christophe is a very good host who can recommend and tailor an itinerary for you.
Nothing, really. The riad gives value for money.
Christophe and the other staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. They arranged a taxi to/from the airport which made life very easy. All the recommendations/directions were perfect (Pepe Nero was amazing).
The riad was perfect.
Wonderful Staff Very close to square with terrace view of square Homely Riad Nothing is too much for Christophe and Andre or staff to make you have a wonderful stay
Amazing location. The friendliest staff ever. Christophe was simply amazing giving us the best suggestions and making us feeling at home.
Christophe the host and all the staffs The location The roof top garden overlooking the Medina, awesome place to have breakfast
The most important criteria of a riad is location, charm and a friendly atmosphere. Riad Andalla has it all. Every time you step inside you get a warm greeting from Christophe or one of his staff, the place is clean, colourful, safe with an awesome rooftop deck overlooking the Djemaa El Fna. Nothing was too much trouble for Christophe who even phoned around to make hamman and restaurant bookings for us.
In walking distance of the main attractions within the Medina. Friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating and informative owner Christophe. Taxi service from the airport.
Riad is in fact not a hotel, it is more like a kind of private accomodation offered in a building and is run by a nice french couple. The room was stylish and I liked it a lot. The bed was very comfortable and I really felt that I am in Morocco. Internet connection is good, you can ask the landlord for some tea any time you want. There is a terrace at the top of the building with a great view to the square and Atlas mountains in the background :) Tasty breakfast is included in the price and it is served by the landlords at the tarrace - it was a marvelous experience to enjoy the meal watching the mountains and the square which never sleeps :)
You have to know at least french or arabic to ask the people how to find the hotel. Otherwise you may have serious problems to find it. The hotel itself is very small so almost noone knows where it is, so I think it would be useful for the landlords to include some guides in the reservation confirmation how to find it. Here is how to do it: when you stand at the main square (Jamaa el Fna) in front of Restaurant "Cafe de France", go down the road which is on the left side of this Restaurant. Then turn right into the first, very small and narrow street (it looks a bit creepy but that's the charm of Marrakech), then turn right twice and then left. Look for number "15" at the door. That's the place! :)
Christophe is a guy who enjoys good food and relaxing in Spa's. This makes him an exceptional host who can recommend all manner of places in and around the city and has great links with the owners. We had an amazing cake arrive at pepe nero to surprise the GF for her birthday thanks to his quiet word with the owner! The Riad itself is in an excellent location, I recommend the airport transfer for peace of mind as although the Riad 2 mins from the main square in the medina, like most of marrakech, you need to wind down a couple of side streets to get to it so the first time it would be tricky to find on foot. Everything else was great, comfortable bed, clean rooms, aircon wifi + large breakfast each day. If you are looking for a few days to hit up the sites and souks, this is perfect. Thanks, Matt.
Owners and staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. Location was great and rooms and decor were very moroccan. Service was excellent with a lovely terrace for relaxing and eating and great views of the square. Would highly recommend this riad for your stay in marrakesh.
We were welcomed so warmly by the staff upon arrival. She brought us tea and made us feel so comfortable. It felt like we came home after a long journey. The head proprietor knew he was going to be out when we arrived, but he left us a note welcoming us and giving us advice on what to do before we saw him. He met with us later and spent approximately 45 minutes explaining the Arab culture as well as the best restaurants and site seeing. Every time we came back from being out, we were greeted warmly, it truly felt like home. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was served to us and was delicious. The rooms were private and comfortable. The place is very clean and well maintained. It is not expensive, worth every penny. I would recommend the Riad Andalla to anyone!!!!
The owners were very friendly and helpful especially Christophe. The room was lovely, free WIFI and air conditioning. Great views from the terrace over the main square. Very close to the main square and sights. Would recommend!
Owners provided a lot of useful information about the city The atmosphere was relaxed Wonderful terrace on the main square
Nothing everything was perfect!
We really liked how Cristophe (the owner) gave us some very good tips on what to see in Marrakech. He was a very proactive and personal host, always in for a chat or to help. The location, the breakfast, the room, the shower, pickup at the airport everything was great!
The room was a little bit noisy, if people are talking outside their rooms you could hear them. But I think that was also due to the design of a Riad, which is very open.
