Amazing location. The friendliest staff ever. Christophe was simply amazing giving us the best suggestions and making us feeling at home.
Christophe the host and all the staffs The location The roof top garden overlooking the Medina, awesome place to have breakfast
The most important criteria of a riad is location, charm and a friendly atmosphere. Riad Andalla has it all. Every time you step inside you get a warm greeting from Christophe or one of his staff, the place is clean, colourful, safe with an awesome rooftop deck overlooking the Djemaa El Fna. Nothing was too much trouble for Christophe who even phoned around to make hamman and restaurant bookings for us.
In walking distance of the main attractions within the Medina. Friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating and informative owner Christophe. Taxi service from the airport.
Riad is in fact not a hotel, it is more like a kind of private accomodation offered in a building and is run by a nice french couple. The room was stylish and I liked it a lot. The bed was very comfortable and I really felt that I am in Morocco. Internet connection is good, you can ask the landlord for some tea any time you want. There is a terrace at the top of the building with a great view to the square and Atlas mountains in the background :) Tasty breakfast is included in the price and it is served by the landlords at the tarrace - it was a marvelous experience to enjoy the meal watching the mountains and the square which never sleeps :)
You have to know at least french or arabic to ask the people how to find the hotel. Otherwise you may have serious problems to find it. The hotel itself is very small so almost noone knows where it is, so I think it would be useful for the landlords to include some guides in the reservation confirmation how to find it. Here is how to do it: when you stand at the main square (Jamaa el Fna) in front of Restaurant "Cafe de France", go down the road which is on the left side of this Restaurant. Then turn right into the first, very small and narrow street (it looks a bit creepy but that's the charm of Marrakech), then turn right twice and then left. Look for number "15" at the door. That's the place! :)
Christophe is a guy who enjoys good food and relaxing in Spa's. This makes him an exceptional host who can recommend all manner of places in and around the city and has great links with the owners. We had an amazing cake arrive at pepe nero to surprise the GF for her birthday thanks to his quiet word with the owner! The Riad itself is in an excellent location, I recommend the airport transfer for peace of mind as although the Riad 2 mins from the main square in the medina, like most of marrakech, you need to wind down a couple of side streets to get to it so the first time it would be tricky to find on foot. Everything else was great, comfortable bed, clean rooms, aircon wifi + large breakfast each day. If you are looking for a few days to hit up the sites and souks, this is perfect. Thanks, Matt.
Owners and staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. Location was great and rooms and decor were very moroccan. Service was excellent with a lovely terrace for relaxing and eating and great views of the square. Would highly recommend this riad for your stay in marrakesh.
We were welcomed so warmly by the staff upon arrival. She brought us tea and made us feel so comfortable. It felt like we came home after a long journey. The head proprietor knew he was going to be out when we arrived, but he left us a note welcoming us and giving us advice on what to do before we saw him. He met with us later and spent approximately 45 minutes explaining the Arab culture as well as the best restaurants and site seeing. Every time we came back from being out, we were greeted warmly, it truly felt like home. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was served to us and was delicious. The rooms were private and comfortable. The place is very clean and well maintained. It is not expensive, worth every penny. I would recommend the Riad Andalla to anyone!!!!
The owners were very friendly and helpful especially Christophe. The room was lovely, free WIFI and air conditioning. Great views from the terrace over the main square. Very close to the main square and sights. Would recommend!
Owners provided a lot of useful information about the city The atmosphere was relaxed Wonderful terrace on the main square
Nothing everything was perfect!
We really liked how Cristophe (the owner) gave us some very good tips on what to see in Marrakech. He was a very proactive and personal host, always in for a chat or to help. The location, the breakfast, the room, the shower, pickup at the airport everything was great!
The room was a little bit noisy, if people are talking outside their rooms you could hear them. But I think that was also due to the design of a Riad, which is very open.
Rooftop Breakfast, Quiet, very close to main square, felt secure, Staff always helpful.
Only two staff can speak English but this didn't hinder anything. Leaving.
Everything was fabulous particularly the staff and the owners Christophe and Andre. Excellent room ,food and atmosphere. I will definatley return!
Fantastic hosts who really know the art of hospitality. Authentic Riad with an amazing view of the Square from their rooftop terrace. We arranged dinner on the rooftop one evening and the quality of the food was superb and very well priced.
The staff was amazing - kind and very helpful. Being located right by the square made it easy to visit all the sites during a short stay. We had the dinner one night and the breakfast each morning and all were delightful. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We also felt very safe. There isn't anything negative I can say about the accommodations. Side note: we researched what to expect from a Riad vs a typical American hotel - do the same and you won't be disappointed with this lovely bed and breakfast.
There was nothing about the Riad I disliked - just some pointers: The airport transfer when we arrived was great because the driver brought us right to the riad door on foot (you cannot drive there). Taking a taxi may make it difficult to find. Once you get there once, you shouldn't have a problem finding it again. Also, we found the square to be a bit overwhelming in the afternoon, but it is peaceful in the morning and lovely at night.
Warmth and hospitality of staff. The extra attention to detail that makes customers want to return.
Location is perfect with great view on Place Jeema El Fna from the terrace Staff was very nice and helpful Breakfast was served on the terrace Room very clean
Nothing. Only small note: it was not easy to find the correct street/address at our arrival. But this is common to all riad inside medinas in Morocco :)
Very convenient location, very close to the Fna Plaza. Even at mid summer, you may come back to the RIAD for a rest when its too hot. The Terrase overlooks the Fna Plaza, and a marvalous view.(And also quit cool when in the shade)
very nice place and kind staff
A little hard to find
The Riad was located brilliantly and the staff were amazing. Sadrine, the manager, was like a cool, big sister who knew where all the best places to eat, drink and party were.
A little bit difficult to find the location at first time. Once you know it, the location is great, very near the square. Staff are friendly. Breakfast are great on the rooftop with good view.
The Desert Tour the staff recommended was expensive, although we had asked whether the price was reasonable. Other travellers in our tour group only paid 800 - 850 DH with no bargain while our tour was around 1200 DH per person.
Sadrine, the host, was fantastic. She was incredibly welcoming and met our every need!
we only had one night in Marrakesh and the Andalla was perfect; the terrace view over the square at sunset and for breakfast in the morning. Youness was so kind and helpful and the rooms were clean, airconditioned and not affected by the noisy square nearby.
We enjoyed our stay a lot! It's a place I would highly recommend! The hosts are great people and very helpful!
everything was perfect!
