Really liked our room. Beautifully decorated, clean and cozy. The place is very charming and private. Good breakfast and internet signal ok in our room. The people who work there are very helpful and accommodating.

Very difficult place to find at first. Swimming pool wasn't very clean. No lock on the door.

Nice riad, in the heart of the Medina. Big and comfortable rooms. Breakfast fabulous

The staff is so kind but they dont speak English or Spanish, just French. Arrange a taxi in the same riad to arrive from the airport (15€) because is quite difficult find it the first time. The medina is like a maze

Great shower and close to Djema and the souks

Where to begin. I think we should have realized what were in for when we discovered our bed (in the Nuptual Suite no less) was two single mattresses pushed together. Or perhaps the next morning, when our breakfast was a small cold omelet - between the two of us ☹ and some bad tepid coffee. This is a place where there doesn’t seem to be an actual proprietor in charge. The cat is definitely away and the mice are being about as slovenly as they can get away with. It has the feel of being taken advantage of by some lazy staff. Two women, who make more noise than I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. We were too often disturbed by them chatting loudly to each other from different rooms, crash banging about at all hours. Or sitting on a guests bed in a nearby room to make a loud personal phone call. Or blasting music, for their own entertainment not the guests, while in the kitchen, loud enough (and I do mean loud) to be heard the entire Riad. Then to have the gall to press a brown envelope into my partner’s hand at the end of the 12 nights expecting a tip was just enraging. We’re very easygoing people but by the end we were so unhappy and angry to have spent so much money on a place that allowed us no comfort or rest at all. It is such an unloved Riad and in turn the guests are too. Practically no English spoken and no care shown except when ‘the accountant’ as I called him, turned up twice to get money and then disappear again just as quickly. Class. The young man who picked us up from the taxi was lovely and did his best. There are no locks on the door, just bolts (no safe in the room or reception – actually there is no reception, or receptionist) You enter the Riad by LOUD doorbell. So EVERY time anyone arrives, the whole place has to hear about it. The doorbell rang all hours. People were locked out. One person ringing at 8am just gave up after about 10 increasingly desperate rings, the whole Riad was awake by then.

    - friendly staff and owner - the day we arrived they made dinner at midnight

    - food was the worst - internet worked only 25% of time - other guests are also frustrated with lack of facilities and comfort - very expensive food in the riad

Nothing really maybe The mint for breakfast!!!!

The owners, I would be here all day writing so il just bullit point the issues... - The room is not as nice as it seems in the pictures - The owners were dishonest, very greedy, and very unwelcoming!!! - The bed was awful 2 sponges put together for a mattress - Shower head dripping all night - main bedroom light didn't work just lamps on bedside cabinet - no locks on your bedroom door - no breakfast in bed even though it states this service under room facilities - Internet was poor -The owners decided to change the water in the small pool in the morning while my partner took a shower. - Had no electric for one all night after 11:30 pm without any explanation, even the next morning the problem wasn't fixed until the afternoon, no apology etc - I refused to pay the original amount of the booking due to all the above reasons, even though I received a discount this still wasn't enough for me as this RIAD was my only downfall in Marrakech!! - I would NOT recommend anyone to stay there as I had a bad experience and would never stay in a RIAD again well defiantly not RIAD ASSALA.... Hope u have a plesant stay in Marrakech
